Candy Crush Saga Level 161 Tips and video.

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 161 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie

Tips: Level 161 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is an ingredient level, you have to collect the cherry to complete the level.  The licorice is the only thing holding back the cherry so this needs to be cleared to allow the cherry to drop. Use stripes and stripe combos to clear the licorice and also clear the blockers in the bottom part of the board. Clearing the blockers will allow you to drop combos to the bottom t clear the lower licorice squares.

The quickest and easiest way to collect the cherry is to make two colourbombs and switch them together.

If the level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know on our FB group and I will try to change it.

What a god awful stupid level this is. The least fun level up to this point. Not enough room to work or make anything happen. Have to rely far too much on chance, as you can't even set anything up due to the lack of space.

This is the type of level that adds merit to what people are saying that the folks at King.com who create this game really need to have their heads kicked in.

It took me two tries and I completed it. It really is just a game of luck.

I have been stuck on this level for over a week and always miss winning by one or two moves!! They best chance is to try and make various combinations which is difficult since there isn't much space to move. Simply a matter of luck!!

I was stuck on level 147 in the end I was so frustrated and paid the $2 for a booster, I think that's why they do it, I bet there are a lot that do, I'm stuck on this level now, like the rest of you and I will
Give the game up before spending another cent, I'm over it

was looking for advice, hints, *secrets*...but i guess its just luck?

Just like all the other levels. Some are easier and Luck does play a big part. If you don't start out with a good mix of candies, it is just a waiting game until you do.

I did this level in 3. Not impossible. Coming off a timed level does make you more anxious. Take your time.

For anyone stuck on this level, I found that (even though this may be difficult to achieve) the best way to complete the level is to get a chocolate sprinkle ball thingy next to a striped one and then switch them; this will get rid of most of the chocolate that has accumulated on the level, get rid of many of the jellies, and also get rid of most, if not all, of the blockades. It's a cake walk from there.

Yeah. Those discs are really frustrating and I think they should add a way to make it at least to be destroyable.

Frustrating because i cant see which one still has jelly intact cos it was covered with chocolate and I was so confident I got all jellys crushed!!!! Am I supposed to crush the chocolate spewwer too? Is the chocolate spewwer covered with jelly too?

Congrats on your cessation from smoking Debbie! Many of these levels are won by luck alone...therefore, I refuse to put any money into paying for boosters.

That's awesome, congrats!

I also quit smoking 4 months tomorrow after a 28 year addiction! I fear though that I have replaced that addiction with an addiction to candy crush, but at least this one won't kill me! Though on some levels the blood pressure does go.up! But congrats fellow quitter.

I agree with most of you guys. It is mostly luck. I have been playing for nearly two years. I love the challenges of Candy Crush. Though frustrating at times, it gives my friends and I something to complain about other than the economy or our lousy political figures. I like the distraction. The conversations are hilarious that we have and we get so excited when we clear a difficult level that we do a happy dance! Thanks.

This level is frustrating, and I KNOW I cleared all the jelly one time but it didn't give me a win! So tired also of shuffling when I had moves to make!!

My favorite thing on these sites is when people say things like "match a sprinkle ball with a striped candy or match a wrapped candy with a striped candy". If I could just magically make those things appear on my board I would not have to try and try to complete the levels. This game is at least 90% luck. But I think the thing that keeps most of us going is the fact that we figure if someone else can complete that level surely we can too by one day getting the right board. I would never ever pay a penny for any of these games. In an interview about the game it was said that they make $600,000. a day from people buying things. WOW!

Lol! Thanks Mary finally someone said it obviously I want to get a sprinkled with a striped or any other power moves, lol...I've found on some levels ppl actually have helpful advice but for this one not one piece of helpful advice other than common sense. At least i have only been stuck for a few days I was also stuck on 147 for over a month and seriously deleted the game a few times then reinstalled it. Ahh can't quit the addiction.

After having read the comments it encouraged me to quit smoking. It's been 8 days of no smoking and as many days on this dreaded level. Hope one day I get lucky and clear this level and remain steadfast on no smoking.

Clear the corners first, then break open the cages as quickly as possible. The areas around the chocolate spinners are difficult to clear and often overtaken by chocolate, so focus on those jellies and make matches whenever possible. Colour bomb/stripe combos are always helpful.
