Candy Crush Saga Level 166 Tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 166 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips: Level 166 is classified as a nightmarishly hard level so you are likely to lose some lives before yoyu manage to pass it. This is a jelly level and there is jelly over the whole board so everything has to be cleared to complete the level. If you can manage to make two colourbombs and switch them together this will go a long way to clearing the blockers and detonating the UFO's. The UFO's will be useful and are best if you detonate them using combos so that you don't waste moves switching.

If the level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know on our FB group and I will try to change it.

Original level.
You have 30 moves to score as many points as possible to complete level 166 Candy Crush Saga.
The board is quite restricted by the chocolate spawners so you have to look very carefully at the whole board before every move. Try to work as close to the bottom of the board as you can, this will create cascades as the candies drop down to fill the gaps made by your moves.
Although you want to be working near the bottom of the board you should also make sure you check the whole board before every move in case there is a chance to make a special candy like a stripe, wrap or a colourbomb.
If you do get a special candy don't try to save it, it is best to use them straight away on this board to prevent it getting eaten by the chocolate.
Be very careful not to let the chocolate block the top part of the board or you won't get any more candies dropping and it will be game over if you run out of candies to move.
Remember you have to use up ALL the moves, so if the chocolate blocks the board so you can't make any more moves you will lose the game no matter how many points you have scored.

I am terrible at timed levels, the panic sets in. This one was easy. Done on third try. Dean

I reached 19,000 points right away and still lost. Said there were no more switches! I could have waited it out and done nothing and would have beat the level...

Times levels are my favorite, but this one was a tad challenging. After 10 or so tries, simply ending up with a chocolate sprinkle ball put me over the amount I needed--and I still had 1:30 left! So I ended up with 26,000 or so points. Don't give up; it's all about luck of the draw

Level 166 says 1500 points why then have I got 25000 and still it says failed no more switches

This happened to me too, said no more switches. So next time, if I reach the 15,000 I am just going to stop and let the time run out.

Fairly easy for a timed level. Combination does the trick need to think quickly to spot the moves

I've got down to one jelly with 4 moves left but just couldn't make it happen. On principle I don't buy boosters etc.

My number of moves go down in multiples, not one by one like I see in your examples. Like 5 or 6 at a time. I’m on level 166. What am I doing wrong?
