2nd video by Adrian Gardner.

You need to watch the video carefully to see WHY he makes the moves he does..
Sometimes he may make a move that doesn't seem like the best one but he is always looking several moves ahead to make specials and combos..

Adrians Tips.

This is a hard level, but not impossible.
Naturally make combos whenever you can, to help this try to clear the central column of cream as soon as possible.
This will create a bigger playing area and help in making 4/5 candy specials.
Always play from the bottom so the cascade effect has the maximum opportunity to do other damage above.
If you have a choice, always make combos next to cream so it clears jelly AND destroys cream.
It's not timed, so check for the best move each go.
It's so easy to be concentrating on the bottom and miss a combo above!
The bombs need clearing, but count down from ten, so if your nerve can take it, try not to play them until they are down in the jelly.
Best combo here is obviously colour bomb and striped!

Absolutely sick of this level. I'm either left with one or two jellies or, the game constantly shuffles because there are no matches. The bombs time out while it's shuffling and I try to re-orientate myself - moves I had lined up simply disappear. Will give it a few more tries and then I'm done with candy crush!!

Anonymous said...

This level is the reason I'll give up this game, too.

Tô quase desistindo do jogo por causa dessa fase :/

Me too!! My problem is constantly reshuffling also it takes a move away when it does!! I've had it to where as soon as I START the game it reshuffles,,,how can THAT be when I haven't even made a move yet!! LOL I will give it a few more tries & then I'm done w/this game,,,life's too short!!

Ugh. I despise this level. I actually beat it, and got to level 150, then something reset somewhere and I'm stuck on it again. I think I'm done with Candy Crush, it's ridiculous how this level is set up and then to reset me??

Tracy Ranalli said...

I think this will be the level I quit on. It is absolutely impossible on the PC. At least the bombs shuffle too when playing on the iPad. Too many bombs on PC version. Every 5 counts one will drop on the iPad.

Daniela Gemignani said...

Absolutely sick of this level! Thinking to quit!

Anonymous said...

Also having difficulty with this level, trying to manoeuvre two candies next to one another when the darned game reshuffles leaving them apart. Why is this level so hard? Getting fed up and think I will quit soon.

Anonymous said...

Hate the fact that the jellys when hitting them with a striped or wrap it doesnt clear n is fustrating n only lets u collect only 5 lives no more ugh use to be fun not anymore

Guys, don't give up i finally passed this level yesterday after over a week of trying! Thankfully i had a candy smasher left and was able to remove the last jelly! My sister in law passed the level in a day, so i think it's just luck. I know what you mean about the constant reshuffling. At first when i was playing on the pc every new candy would be a bomb, and i thought it was impossible. This level is really just about luck, very frustrating, but it can be completed.

Anonymous said...

I've been on this level for almost a month. This level will be the reason I give up Candy Crush too. It's ridiculous. Bombs explode on me 3/4 of the time. The other 1/4 time I make it to the end, I run out of plays and still have too many jelly to get rid of. On top of this being an extremely difficult level (the frosting on top of the jelly, the weird shaped grid, the reshuffling of candy pieces), the bombs add to making this near impossible to complete.

Anonymous said...

Been on this level for a month and have never gotten close to passing it. It's ridiculous

Anonymous said...

I have been on this level for over a month, it's constant reshuffling and making me lose a turn is aggravating, I can have 10 bombs all come down at the same time, yet my daughter plays it on her iphone it is one bomb at a time. I have even had the game say I ran out of lives when there wasn't even a bomb in play at the time.

Anonymous said...

i've been on this for more than a week. the developers thought this is gonna be fun? seriously? this level killed the joy of the game for me. I'm gonna quit this game!!!

Anonymous said...

One of the biggest headaches of this game is when a bomb will not come down from the top section.....it just sits there and just runs out of moves.....is there some kind of method or moves to get them to move?

Anonymous said...

This is just praying your hardest to Gamer's God for a chocolate ball+stripe combo AND the board is saturated with candies of the colour of that striped candy AND the bombs somehow solve themselves. Of course this is super unlikely, but this is how I beat it after a zillion tries on PC.
Try to clear near the middle for the move that will cause a bomb to drop, although this is easier said than done.
The bombs are crazy hard to clear if they are at the side, even though that's where they usually come *sob*

Anonymous said...

Finally finished the level. It helped to clear one side first before the other so you have better control over the bombs.

Wait as long as you can to make sure the special combos are setup near the bottom. Concentrate on taking out the bottom corners.

Anonymous said...

The bottom corners don't really matter if you can't get to them. The game relies too much on the stars aligning for you to make it work. Then as others have posted, the constant re-shuffling when moves aren't even made.

Another problem is candies arbitrarily breaking for no reason and it's usually the special ones. I also find if there are only moves in the corner, you usually have to burn through 5-10 moves before it re-shuffles.. complete bull.

The worst event yet.. and it happened twice in 1 game.. the special multi-colored candy mixed in with the striped candy. I had 1 piece of jelly left, and I somehow lucked out and got 2 of these combinations left. All these striped candies in line with 1 piece of jelly and they all missed. Not once but TWICE!

Sorry but this level is the classic example as to why this game will fail, like their other game (bubble witch) failed.

Anonymous said...

I had this combo twice in 1 game to remove 1 piece of jelly and it failed both times. How exactly is it to have all these striped candies in line with this 1 piece of jelly and it's lined up the other way.. twice in the same game.

That's beyond me, the odds of this happening.. I mean the earth is probably more likely to crash into the sun tomorrow than the above happening.

Me thinks there is more than meets the eye on this level. Something just isn't right.

Anonymous said...

Thought I'd add to the mix here on the ridiculousness of this level.

I've been working on this level for over a month and the plethora of problems it comes with. I just came across a scenario where I was lucky enough to break the board down to only 1 jelly left with 29 moves to go (great right?).

After I got down to the 1 piece of Jelly, the next 29 moves were relegated to the top left corner of the map: 1 by 1 by 1, no shuffling. 29 moves stuck in the corner, how exactly does that work? How is this fun? How does this encourage people to keep playing let alone spend money on the game to support it? I'll agree with the above poster on Bubble Witch. The same Devs made the game and butchered it due to the randomness nature.

Anonymous said...

That is just WRONG!! As you say, how can that possibly be fun??

Anonymous said...

In all honesty, level 147 is just getting plain boring. If anything I'll end up quitting out of boredom. All I want is to see a new level; not go back to old ones.

King.com really dropped the ball with this game in my opinion. They havn't a clue about progression

Anonymous said...

There are so many things wrong with this level.. where do I begin

- Bombs spawning that can't be touched
- Bombs spawning with 2-3 ticks on them (WTF is with that)
- Moves relegated to 1 corner (as you pointed out)
- Candies (usually special), breaking apart by themselves
- Candies remaining static while others pass through
- Crappier drops the closer you get to finishing
- Bombs dropping in places that can't be touched
- Reshuffling when you have moves (my favorite is the chocolate ball candy next to a stripe.. yep then it reshuffles the board like I have no moves)
- There never ever should be any moves available in the corners.. these are just useless filler moves

The the problems with the game itself:

- Can't stack lives outside of 5 making asking for them useless
- Can't send power-ups to each other unless you buy them
- Can't use your power ups during the game (must pick before hand) how the hell do I know what I need to pass until the situation presents itself?
- Only certain power ups available per level (always useless)
-

Anonymous said...

You also forgot with having 5 lives, you only get 4 tries usually.

For whatever reason when your on the 3rd life (and finish it) it goes down to 2 when you lose. When you start the next match it subtracts to 1 when it shouldn't. Happens 9 times out of 10.

Anonymous said...

This happens far too often on this level, weed the blocks down to 1 or 2 jellies left then suddenly any and all moves around them, as well as, special candies and combos become non-existent.

It's as if they've programmed this particular level to have diminishing returns.. the further you go the worse and more useless your drops become, pathetic. Like the poster said above, 29 moves left with 1 jelly and every single move relegated to the upper corner, is just beyond bad. I just had the same situation but with 22 moves left. Same deal, all moves stuck in the opposite corner. This King company needs to get their act together.

Anonymous said...

I'll chime in on this one as well. Had a lucky start which ended up clearing most of the board in the first 5 moves. After that, guess what happened..

A bomb came down and got trapped, absolutely nothing one can do about it because guess what happened; the next 10 moves were stuck in the corner, just like the posters above, imagine that. What are the odds eh?

Anonymous said...

Interesting scenario I've run across multiple times on this level, I never seem to have the full amount of moves i'm allotted. We get 50 moves correct?

If this is the case, why is it sometimes when I get down to 15 moves (it's always 15), my next move takes me down to 5? I'm losing 10 moves for no reason? Has this happened to anyone else?

Anonymous said...

Finally done it - took me 2 weeks, its just luck - so keep at it you'll do it eventually, I think this is the hardest level to do.

Anonymous said...

Hi... I was sick of level 147.. I was so lucky to find this page.. I finally made it after reading your tips.. After reading it, it took me only "1 more try" THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVISE

Anonymous said...

I'm with all the other posters regarding this level, it's absolutely infuriating. I've also been down to one or two jellies left with more than 20 moves and thought I'd cracked it then all the moves left were in the right hand corner. Will give it one more go then I'm going to quit!

Anonymous said...

i cleared the jellys and had 11 moves left and then a bomb came down and went in a corner and could not get it so i died ... then had 11- 3 extra moves from friends and game reset and now last them all

Anonymous said...

I've about had it with this darn game. I can't pass this level for the life of me!! And with the update yesterday on the Ipad the bombs no longer reshuffle. I go back and forth between the pc and my Ipad hoping I'll get lucky but so far no dice. About ready to throw in the towel just like I did with the bubble witch game.

Anonymous said...

Ugh. I'm glad I googled level 147. So incredibly frustrating! I play on PC and iPhone. I cannot understand WHY, when the board has no moves and reshufffles, I am dinged with losing a move! That's just absurd. And I keep losing b/c bombs are blowing up everywhere, unreachable by matching candies. I've also cleared most of the board with plenty of moves to spare, only to die b/c no same-colored candies are close by.

Anonymous said...

I FINALLY BEAT IT!!! I just posted on Friday that I couldn't beat it. I finally got past it on the PC! BUT! I had to use a lollipop hammer to smash 3 jellies and a bomb before the bomb exploded. I got the level fairly clear, but of course the bomb just wasn't near any like-colored candies. I cannot stand that shuffling wastes a move on the PC. It doesn't do that on my iPhone. Also, WHY when I unlock boosters on my iPhone do I need to pay for them to use them? They should be free.

I'm bored of the same flaming level and I'm just stuck :0(!! Come on King,it's supposed to be a game not a chore!

Everything I have read above has happened to me. I do believe the company wants us to spend $$$$$ to move on to the next level. Other levels have seemed to be that way as well. Not a snowballs chance in #311 of that happening. Getting pretty sick of this. To all who said not fun anymore...that is absolutely correct. I am guessing more and more people will abandon this game for something that at least offers some success along with fun. Maybe the programmers of this level aren't so good....I see many of the flaws mentioned above....

Anonymous said...

Thank you for the tips.. This level can be done with no boosters or extra lives.. Took a couple of goes, but nailed it finally. As they say concentrate on taking out middle column and creams. Glad to see the back of it though :)

I think this level is going to be my official exit from this game...I thought it was a relaxing fun way to take breaks, but instead it is turning into a monster creating machine. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Hello I am at level 147! and after purchasing extra moves 4 or 5 times, it gives me and error:
Your purchased could not be completed for assistance, contact iTunes support at www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/
this is not fair and also stealing, considering i had like 2 bubbles left!
How do you explain that???

Anonymous said...

I burned through the first 146 levels in about a month...I have been on this level for over 6 weeks now. Frustrated beyond belief...I will not spend money to finish it.

Anonymous said...

This is just NUTS , I have been on it for 32 Days now , How can we get this far then just get froze here , I waste so many moves between the re-shuffling and they have made me use like 8 to 9 moves up in the corners back to back , then if you do get close they will make sure a bomb will drop with no way possible to get rid of ! I swear there is a Malfunction on this level. I love this game and I love a challenge but I'm ready to leave game , it is no fun for me anymore and there is plenty others I play that I can devote my time to were I have a chance at least! Just not sure how much longer I will give this IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE !Grrrrrrrr

Anonymous said...

Obviously we have some skill at this game to make it to 147 but there is something wrong with the software on this level.
After 200 attempts and nothing remotely close to a finish, I have come to the conclusion that this level is corrupt.

Anonymous said...

I agree that something is wrong with the software.

Find another game to play. This one is broken.

Anonymous said...

After reading this blog I SUDDENLY got a crazy luck,, seriously it was astronomical. I passed it after stuck on it for 5 days or so!

Anonymous said...

It's strange how they still haven't done anything about this level. I have about the same problems as everyone else (playing on pc and android).
As soon as I'm about to get close to clearing the level I start getting lousy drops making it impossible to get any match. And/or only being able to match candies in one of the upper corners.

Bombs won't move down to the center, no matter how many matches I make below the bomb the games refills from other rows (and sometimes from the other side through the middle row). If they end up on one side of the field that side won't drop any candies to match the bomb.

The reshuffling is keeping the bomb in place but moving the same color candies to the other side (at first I thought it was just bad luck but it has happened so many times by now).

Moves only being possible in one of the upper corners. When I get to that point I try to make as bad moves as possible forcing the game to reshuffle but it usually doesn't help.

As if it wasn't hard enough that it takes 5 hits to clear a tile the bombs aren't really doing anything but making you waste moves. They really should at least take the bombs out of the level.

This level is FRUSTRATING--to say the least!!! Here's what I noticed. 1. it makes u waste a bunch of moves at the top where the bombs come out, only to reshuffle the board. 2. Maybe it's just me, but I always seem to bomb out after about 20 moves. I've been left with 30 (out of 50) moves COUNTLESS times!!! And no matter what stripes, colors, blasts, mirror-balls, I get ... I usually only clear about 34-36 pieces. Maybe 5 times I've been close to clearing them out, let alone achieving 40 or more........ I still think it's better than level 134----that level was HORRIBLE, this one is just frustrating!!! One good thing is that the bombs don't blow until about 10 seconds, if that's any consolation, LoL. Good Luck everyone.

At Last I've done it said...

There must be some 'spy' on the game that just KNOWS that I've come on here for tips. After probably one month of trying and being absolutely frustrated, then I come here and read ALL your comments, and seriously consider giving up, then voila! After 2 more tries, it's done. Hmmmmmphhh!

Anonymous said...

I can't believe I am even still considering playing at least for a few more tries.....I am sooooooo frustrated with this level until it is not funny anymore!!!! I have been on this level for about 2 weeks and I can not get more than 48 jellies cleared. I don't mind a challenge but this is ridiculous. Good luck everyone, and don't pull your hair out!!!!

Anonymous said...

i hate this level :-/

I love this game but this level puts me of. the challenge is not fun after a month. i am bored of this level. when u have a few blocks left and lots of moves the candys at the bottom will not match so u cant complete it. grrrrr

Not enjoying this level. Most of my friends playing have got stuck on levels and quit.

Anonymous said...

51/52 cleared with 16 moves left and nope! Maybe next tim.

Finally, got out of this bloody level. I almost decided to give up this morning :-( . Tried to get to the 2 levels straight away with special combinations. Good luck.

Anonymous said...

i cleard the level in 2 attempts but and my comrade cleard it in ONE try we,re both quite good and past level 184

Anonymous said...

King has only one objective - causing frustration great enough to make people spend money to make it stop. They are not game developers or an entertainment company. They are money hungry ass holes who prey on people who enjoy competitive camping. Bubble Witch ended for me at level 52 (4 months and counting) and Candy Crush will end with 147. The only thing that will stop King is when people stop buying.

Anonymous said...

*competitive gaming (autocorrect)

Anonymous said...

Too many jellies to clear. It takes a couple of tries for each jelly. Moves should be increased or jellies reduced.

Noella said...

Too many bombs and can't concentrate on strategy. Bombs get stuck in top corners and sometimes can't make them drop. Not fun anyway, just frustrating!

Anonymous said...

what advise worked???

Anonymous said...

Yes, this level sucks..........bombs dropping every other move and then getting stuck in the corners, reshuffling constantly, no decent moves to make and only 50 moves given to break thru the jelly. Then you have to make moves that don't help you at all because that is the only move available.......do that three or four times and them it reshuffles and you find yourself using up ten moves with nothing to show for it.

Anonymous said...

I give it one more week, then I'm finished with the game. This level is ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

Challenging is one thing but impossible is another. This level is total BS. Shuffles a million times. Gets the moves up in the corners that you can't get to. This level is about ready to make me stop playing the game.

Cindi Walsh said...

I so agree, this is total BS.... no sooner get nicely set up then bomb either stuck in the corner or no moves available to clear the bomb....this game used to be fun, losing the addiction I had to this game. they should loosen up a little

Anonymous said...

I see what everybody is complaining about, this is the worst level and the reshuffling is aggravating. It reshuffles when you have moves and its so fast you can barely see whats on the board.

Anonymous said...

The only way I beat this level was waiting until I had a really good hand dealt to me, then getting down to one jelly in the corner and finally using a hammer on it. I played this level over 200 times.

Anonymous said...

I hate this level with a passion. It is so obvious that they made it so that you have to buy special candies in order to advance in a reasonable time. I'll give it a week and then my Candy Crush Saga days are over. Games are supposed to be fun and take your mind out of chores and responsibilities for a while. This is beyond frustrating and I have a better chance winning millions in a lottery than completing this inhumane and nerve torturing level. And I thought level 65 was bad...

Anonymous said...

Totally hate this level....and lately I can't even ask my friends for lives when out...only gives me the option of playing a different game and completing 8 levels of that...or buying....

Anonymous said...

Glad to see so many other people are ready to give up this game because of this level. It's absolutely insane how much time I've wasted on it. I get making it challenging, but virtually impossible is not necessary!

Chrisa1969 said...

I've tried all these tips. They don't work for me. I've been stuck for 40 days. A friend of mine who beat it amazingly the same day her husband beat it said you have to work the bottom and get as many combos as you can. Well there really isn't anything but bottom to work and combos I've had several during a game and it doesn't clear enough to make a difference. Once or twice I got down to one jelly but I have no boosters left to use. Had i known about this level I would have saved every one of them just for this stupid level. I play on both the iphone and pc and they both suck. Shuffling constantly, bombs getting stuck in the corners. Using all your moves up at the top because the game won't shuffle as long as their are matches to make and you get stuck in the endless matching hell up in the upper corners. This will def be the level that takes me out of candy crush. It's bull that my friends husband started a month or so after me and beat me on this level a month ago. He was only on this level for half a day. I'm convinced they used purchased boosters because there is no friggin way this is happening! Hate Candy Crush now

I combined a speckled chocolate with a striped candy. I had some jellies left but one column I had 2 cells with jellies I wanted to get. I had 2 newly created striped candies (from the combo) that didn't explode and clear the column but kinda slid diagonally into oblivion. Why did this happen?

Anonymous said...

Sick of this level. Gonna stop playing now.

teetee616 said...

Oh, I have to chime in on this one because I thought it was me and how I play. The game itself is poorly structured and clearly designed for you spend money but this level is the worst of the worst and like others I will not continue to let this game rule me. I get down to one or two left at the bottom and suddenly there are no more viable moves to kill it off! And then your done if a bomb gets stuck in one the corners...there is no way to get it out! Plus, I feel there are too many wasted moves. If they are going to only allow a certain amount of moves then EVERY move should count in some way. In other match three games eventually the pieces will fall into place to give you the move you need. This game violates that rule so you can't device a strategy! Also why can't accumulate lives and moves with people sending them to you all the time? It is ridiculously contrived. Will try once or twice more but there are other games in the gaming universe that are much better designed!

CVB said...

I agree with all the negative comments about Level 147 and I have not and will not pay to play a free game!

I have been down to 2 or 3 jellies to crush and the same thing happens .... no bomb burst ... still had moves but the ,ame ended.

A few more tries and, I, too will uninstall Candy Crush.
Has anyone found another game that challenges and satisfies as well?

Thanks!

I finally beat this level after hundreds and hundreds of attempts. One thing I did notice was that the life cycles of the bombs increased from 10 to 15 at some point while playing on a PC, after hundreds of attempts, but I am not sure why. Once the life cycle increased to 15, I was able to win pretty handily. Has anyone else seen this change? Mysterious...

Anonymous said...

Been on this level for 3 weeks now, this level will be the end of my candy crush experience, bored with it! And I'm guessing this is the level that candy crush provides so that maybe someone like me who refuses to pay for bonus items will maybe change their minds, not happening!!

Chris Durst said...

In reality you CANNOT finish this level without using boosters of some some kind, regardless of what the videos showed. Been on this level for over 1500 games and have been close a few times (one jelly left and 5 or 6 moves left) but a never ever a way of clearing that last jelly before either a bomb goes off that stuck in a corner, or no moves that will allow the last jelly to be cleared. It's a complete joke by the developers and a horrible horrible designed level.

Anonymous said...

Level 147 completely takes the fun out of this game.
I was looking for a reason to quit playing.....now I have one.

It was fun while it lasted.

Anonymous said...

Been stuck now for over three weeks. I am not stupid, I can make the matches and clear the bombs. Have been down to one jelly several times. I don't mind being stuck for a while on a level but this is getting ridiculous - not nice to make people frustrated. Have had two other friends go by me that were behind me. Now another one has just got out of this level too. Beginning to lose hope in this game!

Anonymous said...

This level was designed by the programmers to sabotage any and all attempts to pass this level fairly. Yes, frustration is their goal, as it's their hope that from frustration the player will BUY boosters. I've never seen so much cheating in a game, ever! You will not win unless you fork over money. I, for one, will NOT pay. Furthermore, I will let everyone I know that is playing CC, to give it up because KING is, ultimately, out to get their money. I quit this b!+€£

Anonymous said...

I was stuck on this for 10 days...and it was driving me crazy. I finally just beat it, right after viewing these comments for the first time lol. As if the game was saying ok ok, here. I beat it with no boosters or added extra moves. I feel like I just climbed Mt. Everest.

Anonymous said...

level 147 is pathetic, stuck on it two months, i once paid a couple of dollars for extra moves when I had like 2 jellies left so I got extra 5 moves, made one move and then it said game over, what the hell, rip off!!! This level i tied on Computer and iPhone, either way it is too hard, they one need to add more moves to this and second, remove the stupid pathetic bombs out they just are not needed in this level and there are too many of them anyways.

Anonymous said...

Is it possible to win this level by normal means.....no buying something. No cheating...getting ready to quit...i could have won a couple of times if I had bought something...but i refuse...been here over a month..

Anonymous said...

Rest assured that it IS possible to beat this level without cheating or digging out your wallet: I'm one of the people who survived it! You just need loads and loads of patience and a willingness to constantly reload the game (at least on the iPhone where doing so doesn't cost you a life if you do it before making any moves) until you have a really good first move.

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, so just concentrate on clearing the middle column first as it lets you create combos more easily and try your best to bring the bombs down so that you can clear it and jelly squares at the same time.

But yes, this level is Evil with a capital E. I hated that level with a burning passion, and swore for five minutes straight when the game forced me to suffer through it AGAIN as a mystery quest.

Anonymous said...

You have 50 moves to remove 52 jellies, however 22 of those require 3 hits to remove and the remainder 2 hits. This is the level where they REALLY want you to buy either additional turns or lives. All the shuffling , moves only in the upper corners , and the stupid bombs make this not so fun. Time to take a break and find a game that is challenging but not impossible and frustrating!
