Candy Crush Saga Level 374

Tips for level 374 Candy Crush Saga
There are 2 ways to beat level 374... There's the careful way if you're worried about the bombs..
Try to get as many purple candies as you can before you destroy the cake and release the bombs.
Then play carefully near the bottom of the board, looking all the time for specials such as stripes, wraps and colour bombs.
The second way is for the brave!
Destroy the cake as quickly as possible to release the bombs, then LOOK before every move.
You're looking to make colour bombs and colour bomb combos to maximise your score.
Keep your eye on how many purples you need as you don't want to collect them all too soon, the more moves you use the higher your score will be.

I passed this level, by knocking out the blocks in the first section, before clearing the cake. This gave me extra purples to my count. I also used a freckle with a striped candy.

Thank you! I followed the above comment and got through finally on one try.

I wasn't very successful knocking out the blocks on the left or right first. Even though i tried to avoid clearing the center cake, it seemed to clear on its own, the hammer clearing all the candies and both sides dropping down.

I finally learned to take advantage of the board full of candies and concentrated on creating chocolate/striped and wrapped/striped combos to wipe out the low numberes candies and whatever purples were on the board.

Clearing the blocks first s very good advice. Worked 1st time for me. It means the bombs come down in more manageable numbers.

Quite simple this one, keep an eye out for chances to make colour bombs amongst the bombs. I made several then made combos with striped candy to get a score of 780000

When you say clearing the blocks in the first section...what do you mean by that? I am so stuck on this level! Thanks!

What blocks are you talking about clearing out?

I wasn't sure what the previous comments mean by " knocking out the blocks in the first section, before clearing the cake". When I tried to do that, I didn't have enough moves to beat the bombs when they dropped and get all the purples I needed.

I got lucky. I will say this...DO NOT quit when you have a bomb that says "1" and it appears you have no moves. Keep playing and make your final move. You might be surprised!! I was, and I won.

Good luck! PM

I scored 6.4 million points on this level. So many chocolate bombs...if you mix choco bomb with striped you will NOT GET AS MANY POINTS as you want compared to mixing a choco bomb with an ordinary candy.

I was trying to avoid breaking the "cake" in the middle because I knew the bombs would drop and I thought that I would run out of time to clear the purples. Wrong. You do want the bombs to drop fairly early because then, when you break the cake and the board gets cleared, there are fewer bombs on the next board. I also got three chocolate balls on the first drop after the board cleared...and then easily made a few more. Scored over a million points. (I kept thinking this must not be a difficult level because you have to score so few points to beat it. Just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I come here after I've tried a number of times on my own.) Do watch out for the bombs as it's a pain when you still have moves left but the bombs end your game early.

Get the bombs to drop using vertical stripes before clearing the cake. Then usual combinations does the trick. Game has plenty of moves to finish the job.

I have no idea how you all manage to clear this level. The tipps won't work for me. No matter what I try, all I do in the end is fighting the bombs. Unsuccessfully so. In more than thirty tries I never even got one chocolate ball. Only a few striped candies which didn't do much to help. I came this far without too much trouble and without boosters but I'm so frustrated with this level that I was actually glad when I ran out of lives. I just can't see how I can ever beat this one.

Dying here. !! I have read the comments several times...tried breaking sides out...not breaking the out...breaking the cake. Not breaking the cake. Combos..combos..combos....and I am still chasing bombs and losing. I am missing something. ...hoping some others will share their success....

This level is really hard. Too many bombs coming down. Will keep plodding on though

When some of you talk about clearing the blocks in the first section, are you talking about the meringue underneath the dispensers? This level is hard! I've been able to clear one side of meringue with a vertical stripe a couple of times and it does make the bombs come down in a smaller group. I've tried to just clear purple candies and avoid the exploding cake as long as possible. I've gotten close to reaching the goal but there is always one or two pesky bombs that end up at zero! Kaboom! Yuck!

I agree with the comments above this one. I am not having any success either. I have tried following all of the tips but so far not even close. Hopefully I will get a lucky board eventually and make it.

I finally passed this level, thanks to the suggestions above! I worked on just clearing some purples first and then made a vertical stripe to free up some of the bombs. I kept clearing purples and when the bombs were close to exploding, I cleared the rest of the cake. The board cleared, giving points for all the remaining purples. Once everything set up again, I was able to make a sprinkle. I matched it with a stripe, which took care of all but three bombs. I kept an eye on those until I get rid of them. I was so concerned with the bombs that I didn't realize I finished clearing the purples. I had 10 moves left. Got 3 stars and 1,451,060 points. I hope my suggestions can help others. Stay strong!

Target: Collect 150 purple candies

* This level was a bit tough but very doable. What I did was in the initial board i eliminated the purple candies until the pudding cake was cleared.
* The cannon will go of and again will eliminate more purple candies.
* More time bombs would fall down but focus on eliminating purple candies, when the time bombs go down to less than 5 moves you must eliminate them. Be mindful also of opportunities for chocolate color bombs and swap it with purples.
* The more you make combos the more purples would fall down.
Good luck! - LEI

I hit as many purple as possible before letting down the bombs. Then I let them down and tried to use all but one of the fifteen moves, then I broke the cake with my next to last move. This cleared then board of bombs and let down new ones. I cleared more purple then, As soon as possible, I made a color bomb+stripe, which cleared most or all of the bombs. The few left, I cleared, then repeated the process. This let me use most of my moves, and I won.

Can you clarify what is a combo...i take by the sense that is 4 candies which make a stripe, right? ANd a frekle? Not familiar with this words :-) thanks

I really should read all these tips BEFOR I start a level. -_-

I tried 100s of X to beat this level following the comments above and could not finish the order. My success was elimating as many purple in the first stage and not worrying about the cake. It eventually takes care of itself. This eliminated bombs when I initially started the second phase allowing me to concentrate on a choc bomb and pruprle stripe. Following this process I completed level on 2nd try with three stars. Good luck! Cac

I've spent half a day on this level off and on. Gave up using the phone and tablet and went to the Macbook which got me through this level.

Also tried not to break the cake which causes the time bombs to drop, but gave up trying that too - as the cake self destructs from indirect moves made along the way.

Two color bombs next to each other didn't do much for me, and found they were no way near effective as they are on other levels.

Key combinations for me were:
Color bombs and a stripe. Or two wrapped candies - now those clear big time, and also clear the time bombs that are about to expire.

My strategy was to plan each move carefully. I eliminated as many purples as I could before the cake cleared. The time bombs can be distracting so just focus on matching colors to make stripes and choco balls or striped and wrapped. I focused on the bottom of the board because the older bombs are there and need to cleared quickly. Tip is to focus on making special candies and TAKE YOUR TIME! Good luck!

I agree with trying to take the blocks out first. It may take a bit to find a vertical stripe, but if you can get the bombs to drop before removing the pie, the hammer takes out a bunch of the bombs and therefore purples. I was not trying this, and had no luck on this level, and then passed it on the first try by doing this with 6 moves left. The combos just dropped out of the sky. Also, I found stripe and pkg wayyyyyy better than a color bomb at getting rid of bombs as the stripe/ pkg combo cleared 3 levels of old bombs in one go with nothing left over, unlike the color bomb which can leave stragglers. And even one straggler ends the game. I gave up color bombs for pkgs.

I really don't like this level! Boring and seemingly hopeless!

FINALLY cleared this level with no boosters. Pure luck!

Thank you so much for the advice about taking the blocks out first. Been stuck on this level for ages now, and after reading this I managed to clear it with 1'667000 points first time, Thanks again...Kev

I've gotten 13 million points and still can't get it..getting close. Need more gob stoppers.

This level has gotten very boring. I have tried several of the different strategies others suggested and not even close.

Very frustrating level. Really need a lucky board.

c/candycrush here.

Bad, looks and feels impossible some turns, but is do-able within a couple of days.

Boy oh boy, isn't it amazing how fast this pizza cake clears almost by itself. When you wanted hat to happen in earlier levels, no way.
And look at the top left and right meringues as one they clear, down drop more bombs than you can imagine.

You do need a good board but
-don't worry (too much)about bombs coming down, try to get them down before the middle pizza cake is cleared if you can.
-don't bother storing special candy too long if the middle cake isn't clear as it will clear all o a sudden and you'll lose the special candy anyway.-the cannon will clear the board, including the first lot of bombs. It might give you some special candies too.
-once pizza cake is gone and bombs are there, you need a colour bomb/freckle, ideally next to a striped candy or at least next to a purple.
Unless you can do at least 2 special combos, you won't get through.

This can be a challenge but the high score will please you. My tips:

In a worst case scenario, once you release the bombs you have 15 moves remaining, so:

1. Before you clear the cake focus on purples without hitting the cake or releasing the upper blocks. If you get a choc sprinkle and you don't have many purple on the board, combine it with a plain of which there are lots. This will allow more purple to drop. Once you get to 35 moves remaining, try to release one upper block (but still avoid the cake). Work on these. Once the bombs get down to 6 or so, clear the cake so that the cannon will wipe out those bombs.
2. Now you have a fresh board full of 15 move bombs. Play from the bottom. Make choc sprinkles and focus on colours on the bottom, any colour. The purples will crush naturally anyway. A striped and wrapped at the bottom will also clear severa' rows of bombs about to defuse.

You really need several choc sprinkles to get this level out.

OMG, so frustrating, I read the tips mentioned but my cake got done by itself too fast. I always end up with almost whole page of time bombs! maybe I just don't have the luck. anybody has the same problem?

Need a chocolate bomb plus striped candy after you have cleaned the cake.

Its is mixing any of the special candies. Really surprises u have made it this far, without knowing what a combo is!!!!
