Candy Crush Saga level 409 Tips

Level 409 Portals now fixed!

There are two ways to clear this level.
The first is to break both cakes while at the same time moving the fruit across to each side  whenever a chance appears.
The second method is to move both the fruits to the same side and then it's only necessary to break one cake to get it down.

Grrr no cycle making this really hard and imposable. people that do get it must be really lucky.

Yeah really ridiculous this game has this many glitches

Good lateral thinking. I keep failing without the through of moving both fruits one side. 2 extra sideway- moves may be easier by breaking just one cake. This idea never struck me , I will try it from now on.

Breaking the cake does not help! Im getting so frusterated. Please fix soon

glitches!!! friggin annoying!! Can't even pass this level. eeeeeeeeehhkkk

Seems to be near impossible to beat this level without the portals. Whenever I do break up a cake I hardly have any moves left!

Ugh... even if the portals were working this level would stink, just not as bad. I hate levels where you have to move the ingredients sideways, it seems pretty much impossible to set it up other than pure luck. :(

Why do you not fix this level. It's broke for weeks and still not fixed.

it's fixed!

It is NOT fixed!!!!!!

Please fix this glitch and update the game on mobile.

Just completed it. I concentrated on moving the fruit to either side and any time I saw a combination, made that work. Did it with 6 moves to spare!!

Delighted!!!

409 teleport issue is not fixed on mobile version, which was released on 8/23!

ok the easiest is to break both cakes and find combos as fast as possible to do it. then just need concentrate on them ingriedients and moving them. i broke cakes with 30 moves left and 2 moves left when won.

Can't get past this one to save my life but...since there's only 1 level left to play after this on my mobile...I guess I don't really need to hurry! (Wish it wasn't such a frustrating level though. If I manage to move the candy and nut into position, I don't have enough moves to finish breaking the cake...and vice versa. I need like 10 more moves!)

Oops...I meant the cherries and nut.

It's the strangest thing how often it seems I post here about being "stuck" on a level...and then within the next few tries, I get it. Passed this level with 7 moves left. Earned 3 stars. Moving on...

Having to think laterally with all your contingent moves adds a fun demension.

Help!!! Plz !!! I've been stuck for days now. I can't seem to get the ingredients on the same side as the broken cake or able to move them from one side to the other. Also is there a bug? When the ingredients go thru the portals should it move to the top of the same column or to the next column with a portal?

This level is so frustrating. I can't even get a board where I can move the fruit over more than one time.

work on getting a chocolate ball then combine it with the same color as the bottom striped candy located in the middle of the 2 cakes. This will activate the striped candy and will break some of the bottom pieces of the cake, unfortunately not all. It will also release the top striped candy down. Once the second striped candy is activated, it will completely break the bottom pieces of the cake. The top pieces of the cake is easy to break with any 3 combinations.

The portals work exactly how they are set up for this game. It is not broken on any device

I have tried all options and never have enough moves to complete the level. I seem to use all my moves trying to get the nuts and cherries in the correct position. Is that a trick to getting the fruit over faster? Quite frustrated.

I had both fruit, one above the other, broke the cake below them and they did not drop through!!! Bloody great, a tough level and when by luck you do get everything in the right place, it doesn't work!

Please explain how the portals are supposed to work? I have played many times and have seen that the portals are inconsistent... that when one color goes through the bottom portal, it should come up on the top portal the same color, but instead a new color often appears, though sometimes it is the right color that should have come, but when that happens it must be just luck. The fruits always come through the portal right. Like when an apple goes down the bottom portal, it does reappear at the top as an apple. Sure wish it worked that way for every thing. Another issue is the lines. They drop two at a time when it should only be one line dropped. And another issue is that a wrapped candy landing on a stripped candy explodes for no reason. Sure does make the wrapped/stripped candy combo waaaay harder. In other levels, creating a wrapped candy on top of a stripped one works just fine, but not on this level. So because of the inconsistencies of this level, I don't think there is anything to do but move the pieces around and hope they fall into place. I've come close using this "strategy" but unless the pieces fall as they should, unless the glitches I mentioned get fixed, good luck because there isn't any other way to beat this level than with luck since this level doesn't work right.

Bouges I agree with you ..I also noticed that candies are sweeping over each other which is weird..and just when you think you have a sprinkle ball and a stripped everything moves all over the place and the board changes. I try to get the fruit to moved over but that is not as easy as it looks..anyway I guess this level will be another one of those that I play for days and maybe weeks...good luck...

Besides being annoyed, like everyone else, about the glitches doesn't it bother anyone about the character with the big drip coming from his nose?

Well, I have watched the video & read the tips. I have also spent a lot of time trying to move the fruit to the side. In fact I have spent whole games trying just to move the fruit to the side and not one sideways move at all. This game is really getting to the stage where you just want to quit CC all together. The levels are becoming ridiculous!!

Candy crush developers, are you all just sitting there high and mighty laughing at us trying to pass these ridiculous levels? Here's a solution How about once a week for a ten minute period you move people up who are playing a level they have tried over 50 times. People will go crazy they will set their alarms they will tell their friends, all those people who have quit playing cany crush will come back to it. Just think of all the publicity you will get.

Playing on iphone 5. Took 4 tries. We have had this strategy before. You have to get the ingredients moved over to the far left and far right. It takes a little work to maneuver them over but can be done. I got all 3 stars with 5 moves left. I made focusing on moving the ingredients my priority over getting through the cakes at the bottom. Because if the ingredients aren't lined up they won't fall through even if you clear the cakes.

DONE!!!!! This level has definitely pushed me over the edge. I've been stuck before but at least I knew what the strategy was. This level...there is no strategy. I've cleared BOTH cakes with anywhere from 25 - 35 moves left and CANNOT move the ingredients off the top. There are never any combinations that allow me to do that. I can't believe I have made it this far and am now completely frustrated with this game that I am now playing Disney's "Frozen - Free Fall". All you candy crushers....give it a try...it's so much less FRUSTRATING!!!!

Took me a while to figure out what to do. There aren't glitches. You have to move the fruit/nut over so it falls down to the cake pieces on the left and right of game. Someone posted earlier to have 2 same colour beside the fruit to move it over. That helped me. The hammer has to blast the cake, then the fruit will drop through. Very, very tough level, even when you know what to do. Have to admit, I had to buy some gold bars to actually do it. You aren't given enough moves to perform the task. Hope I don't run into another one like this.

Still can't move the fruit/nut where it needs to be. Have cleared both cakes very early with chocolate speckle ball+stripe. Just waste moves over and over. Also, spontaneous explosion of wrapped candy right as I have a wrap+stripe to combine. Watched it very carefully and it should not have exploded early. Happened over and over. I have enjoyed this game and got thru to 409 rather quickly, but this level just kills my enjoyment, so I will be leaving cc for awhile, until I think it might be fun again. There isn't even a booster that will help this level.

I tried the method of moving both ingredients to one side and breaking one cake, but that method was not working for me. What I did was to go with whatever method had the best start. If I could make moves to bring both ingredients to one side, I went with that, but if I was getting moves to get each ingredient to its own side, I went with that too. When I finally got this level, I went with the separate sides approach simply because the first two moves got the acorn to a column that it could exit from, while the fourth move got the cherry one over and about the sixteenth move got it into an exit column. The rest of the moves were used to break the cakes. The first one fell with a striped/wrapped combo, which also set off the centre stripes that cleared some of the righthand cake. However, to get that last piece of the second cake, I was fortunate to get a vertical-blasting stripe over that piece with two moves left. That set off the final shooting of the cannon (or whatever that is), which was fortunate because if that vertical blaster was set off on the last move, I would not have gotten the cannon blast (which leads to the question, if I bought extra moves, would I get the cannon and hence not use any of the moves I paid for, or would the cake plate remain with no way to clear it and the game unwinnable even in theory?) Yes, this is a luck level to some degree.
