Tips for level 461 Candy Crush

This is by far the hardest level in this section.
You need to remove all the jelly but most of it is covered by chocolate.
At the start the chocolate is confined by locked cells, but once the two bottom cells, left and right, are opened the chocolate is released and quickly takes over.
With so many holes in the board moves at the bottom are limited so keeping the chocolate under control is very difficult.
The best way to deal with the chocolate is to make as many special candies as possible and blast it as many times as possible until it's destroyed.
Stripe/wrap combos are good, as is a colour bomb switched with any other special candy.
The fish in the middle will help a little, but better if you can switch the fish with a stripe or a wrap, as this will give you 3 stripes or 3 wraps, which are obviously better than normal fish.
Once the chocolate is gone work on making more combos to get the jelly. Stripes and wrap combos are best, or colour bomb with either of them..
If you are struggling with level 461 you may find a jelly fish booster helps.

I was stuck on this level for over a week, I finally did it this morning, after the 'wonderful' sign I then got an error message and now it says I have not completed it............so annoyed!

Anonymous said...

Get rid of your obvious combos before letting the chocolate release. Then build combos to get rid of the chocolate asap (not easy and luck is involved).

Once chocolate is gone, it will not reappear. Then you must get lucky to be able to make combos to eliminate the bottom. Good luck!! PM

Level 461 is a boring and another stupid level that makes the player crazy with no fun. I have stuck here over a week.

I am thinking of giving up the game.

I think this is my last level, pretty sure i wont be able to beat this one:( sigh

Anonymous said...

I finished it. Took me about 15 tries. You need a lot of luck. I got a lot of combined candies.

Shawn said...

Stuck on this level for two days and finally beat it without booster on the last move!
You really need luck on this level to make combos because there are 5 colors and so little space. But even with combo, you have to pray it is at the perfect position, otherwise, you will still end up with hopeless board and a lot of moves doing nothing.
I only made a color bomb and stripped combo and it clears almost all jelly at the bottom.

Another impossible level.:(

This has got to be the worst level in the whole game. C.C. you've taken the fun out of it with this one :(:(:(

CCS has become more about getting lucky than being fun anymore. tired of playing boards over and over until I get that one lucky one so I can get past it. I get it, they make money selling boosts and the harder they make it the more likely someone will pay for help. It was fun up until soda swamp, then it just became boring and frustating. Good luck to the rest of you, I'm out.

Anonymous said...

After about 100 tries, I have not even come close to removing the chocolate, let alone clearing the jelly underneath, which requires two additional hits on each square.
No fun any more. Just frustration. Would like to have a bit of a chance at getting through this level which makes previous difficult levels seem like a walk in the park.
Time to give up Candy Crush, I think, and get back into more productive pursuits.

Took me two days but finally beat this with no boosters and had 16 moves left.

I cleared as much of the jelly as possible before deploying the fish. Also dont want to open up the chocolate at the bottom until you have to.

Did a stripe + fish combo, a stripe + wrapper combo, and got extremely lucky with the rest.

Anonymous said...

Been on this level for at least two weeks. Up until this point, there have been a few levels that I can count on one hand where I felt the solution was close, just needed a little more luck and kept playing. The big difference I see with this level is the fact that you better get lucky x 10 or you're not beating it. Had fun up until this point, but unless they fix the "randomizer" for this level, forget it.

Anonymous said...

Beat it in one try! Extremely lucky, cleared most of the candy first, then one color bomb+striped candy immediately followed by two wrapped candies together finished the entire chocolate area. 13 moves left.

Anonymous said...

Been stuck here for nearly a month. Can't even clear the chocolate in 9 out of 10 tries. Did, however, clear all the jelly TWICE but it told me that I hadn't cleared all the jelly. Would seem to be a bug. Time to give up I think. Sick of this level!

Finally got this one - it was tough. Just a matter of making combos and not making mistakes.

Anonymous said...

This level is ridiculous. Been on it 2 weeks.

Anonymous said...

Been on this level for 3 days and the frustration is building once again. Was only able to clear the chocolate maybe 3 times, and had just a few jellies left each time but just didn't get the right candy dropping down to finish it off. Most times the chocolate spreads and spreads and spreads and spreads and spreads. TOTALLY FRUSTRATED!!

Anonymous said...

Ho hum. Been on it for ages and just managed to get 2 colour bombs next to each other. Fantastic I thought - finally a chance. They electrocuted everything BUT NOT THE CHOCOLATE which they didn't even touch, which they have done on previous levels. You obviously need some major artillery and a lot of luck to even have a chance of this one!

Anonymous said...

Nothing like making useless move after useless move to get nowhere near finishing off this level. So tired of it.

Anonymous said...

Been this level for a month, finally today get through by :
1. 2 wrapped candy;
2. 1 stripped candy + colour bomb;
3. 3 stripped candy;
4. a lot of luck!!!
noting to do with the fish if without mixing with wrapped candy...
good luck!

Anonymous said...

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss!
Literally hundreds of tries and it just happened. Finally had the right bits fall into the right places at the right time. No colour bombs / double wrapper / double stripe, just a lot of lucky stripes. Done with 9 moves left. Still not sure how I did it, just extremely glad I did!

Anonymous said...

I'm getting closer. Had a few tries with just two or three jellies left. Waiting for luck to come my way, but already must have at least 250 tries.

Anonymous said...

This level has given me cancer...

Anonymous said...

This level is horrendous. I see why some people want to quit. I am still hanging in there because I will not be defeated LOL. If others passed it, I know eventually pass it. May take me a few years (smiles) but I will do this.!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

No more cancer for me... :)
I just passed the level after maybe 500 tries. No kidding, this level is one the hardest. Keep trying and trying. This level is like lottery.

Anonymous said...

I can't believe there aren't many more comments here. This has got to be one of the top five hardest levels in the game. I must have had over 300 tries. I just don't really care anymore if I play or not.

YE said...

Finally passed this level yesterday!
Don't destroy the wire that releases the chocolate!!!!
Try to make wrapped + wrapped as many as you can.
Avoid using the fishes until the end.
With pure luck ,I made color bombs 2 times and chose the colors that would destroy the jellies.
And good luck..The next level is no joke either.

Anonymous said...

I think I have reached my limit. This level is impossible. Been on it for over a month (never spending more than a week on ANY other level). One thing when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but the closest I've been to clearing this was on my very first try (one jelly) have not been close since.

Anonymous said...

So disappointed to have come so far only to get stuck at this level. Been at it for 2 weeks. I really want to play on but can't get past this one. I try to not touch the two at the bottom that release the chocolate but sometimes its your only move. Impossible to get a wrapped and striped together and when you do its not enough. Had two chocolate balls side to side a few times and even that doesn't do it. I wish they would make it easier. The most I have been stuck at a level is two weeks and that happened just twice in this game. Don't think I could go with three weeks. Just not worth it.

Anonymous said...

Boring Boring Boring... there is so seldom more than one move there is little or no skill involved.

Jennifer said...

This is definitely a frustrating level. Even though I know that the last 200 levels are all luck based, and I try not to let them get to me, (because I know I just have to keep playing enough and eventually the game will give me what I need to win), this level is still getting to me.

I have only been close one time, and that was still about ten jellies away.

More frustrated about the fact that it has been MONTHS and the app still isn't updated, so I can only play this impossible level on my computer.

Anonymous said...

so tired of seeing the "You have failed to clear all jellies" screen. i make no progress no matter the number of times i play. i have more fun going back to older levels to improve my score. seems like KING has cut their own throat with this one ... can't make money if there aren't even boosters that will help ... can't move to higher levels to spend money ... seems they'd be missing our money by now.

Anonymous said...

I finally did it! After two and half weeks and over 500 lives I was lucky enough to finally get to a point where the chocolate stopped coming. Had a wrapped and striped near it. Caved in and bought lollipop hammers and used two to clear the board. On to the next level but that one is tough too but at least I'm not playing this one any longer - I was so tired of it. Good luck! Love the new daily booster wheel on mobile.

Anonymous said...

I have tried to clear from the top, from the bottom, in the middle but no luck. I have had countless of times where the first draws are such that there are no alternatives but opening up the chocolate. I have seen countless of opportunities to create wrapped candies etc but what happens? exactly that one piece that destroyes it all comes down. Is this fun? NO. It is really annoying when it is so obvious that the programme is set in only a desctructive way and gives you no chance tho think at all. I have even tried to buy extra Draws and boosters but no - no luck.

Anonymous said...

I also caved in! I've played this level for almost a week which is longer than any other level. Managed to clear the chocolate a few times and once had only one jelly left. Finally caved in and bought the stupid lollipop when I once again had only one jelly left and just smashed the damn thing! Moving on! :D

Anonymous said...

This level was the end for me was stuck for MONTHS got to bored finally gave up! Way to go candy crush I was an avid player too! I think if your stuck more than 24 hours you should have the option to skip. Oh well sionara candy crush its been fun

Ames*One said...

This was a tough one, and thought I'd never pass it. But finally got lucky and managed to make a choco ball/stripe combo that cleared out all the chocolate in one go, with over 40 moves left to clear the rest. After that, it was much easier getting combos with a wide open board not having to worry about the chocolate. Definitely one of the harder levels requiring both luck (mostly) and skill. Keep trying and you'll get that lucky board eventually!

Anonymous said...

On my fourth attempt, I got two wrapped candies right above the chocolate, which cleared almost all of it. I ran out of lives with one jelly remaining! I'm happy we have the daily booster wheel. It helps to have a special item when you need it!

Anonymous said...

Stuck for weeks. Thank I goodness I got an offer from one of the other Saga games; get to level 9 and receive 5 lollipop hammers. Used 4 of them to finish off this darned level! That's was the only way I even came close -- worst level yet!

Anonymous said...

I have gotten down to one jelly twice in two days! This morning, I got a lollipop hammer on the booster wheel. Just waiting for another one jelly game to smash that sucker and pass this! Although it's pretty hard with the chocolate, I still say jelly levels are my favorite!

Anonymous said...

Agree with all the nay sayers.
This ones even worse than 410.
Takes all the fun out of playing.

Jo said...

Fed up yet again. I'll battle through because everytime I say I'll quit I always come back and then finally manage to do it. (Cleared the choc about five times so far and still with 20+ moves wasn't given any chances to complete it!!) But I wish the designers would build levels that require skill: having holes (like the frustratingly positioned ones on this level) or stupid numbers of whirlwinds (on previous awful levels) take all the fun out of playing and mean you can usually only do one move, so it's just boring and painful and goes on forever.

ARM said...

I beat this level on my third try. My only strategy was just to make whatever special candy I could find, prioritizing chocolate bombs. I was lucky to get two of them fairly early. Rather than waiting to combine with a special candy, which can eat up a lot of moves, I saw a lot of reds next to chocolate squares and I zapped those. I was then lucky that the holes made in the chocolate were almost entirely filled with orange candies, so I used the second chocolate bomb on those. DO NOT combine the two chocolate bombs if you get that setup. It won't zap chocolate (chocolate looks out for chocolate, I guess). Instead, use them to zap candies adjacent to chocolate. After the chocolate was gone, I just made whatever specials I could and lucked out. Good luck all and don't quit. Always look for specials!

Anonymous said...

Yet another frustrating level! The booster wheel is also being difficult. I already had one lollipop hammer. This morning I got another one but the game didn't give it to me!!! What? It sure would be nice to have both to pass this level if I need them!

pennyalis said...

I have been at this level for over three weeks now. Countless lives used and I have only been close once. I have tried most of the strategies posted here, with no luck. I keep hoping for that magical board, but nothing so far. I am almost to the point of quitting. I play CC with facebook. When I log in I am not able to save the lives that friends have sent me. If my account is full, then I am out of luck. Not sure how to get "around" that one. Any suggestions?

Anonymous said...

I'm stucked in this level for over a month!!! Two times I just left 1 jelly, I got SO nervous 👊👊👊 I wish one day pass this level!!!

Anonymous said...

I am quickly beginning to hate this level! I've been playing for over a week and have burned hundreds of lives. Most of the time, the game ends with 15 jellies remaining! I have a lollipop hammer saved but ever since I got it, I have not had a game with only one jelly remaining. I had two of them before getting the hammer. This level reminds me of 147, which I was stuck on for over a month! It's getting pretty boring. UGH

Anonymous said...

Since King has graciously decided to let us keep spinning the booster wheel, I am saving up lollipop hammers! I really don't like this level!!!!!!!

lorraine said...

Have been stuck on this level for a couple weeks now, just too hard no matter how I play it, now it keeps crashing and uses all my lives, come on king how are we suppose to pass :(

Chrissie said...

Like the rest of you I've been stuck on this level for weeks.

Played it hundreds of times and have got rid of chocolate about 3 times.

Most times there's only one or two moves to make.

It's SO BORING like watching paint dry!

The only thing that keeps me going is that with all the other horrible levels that one day a good hoard arrives.

It's a long time coming with this one.

And I don't want to give up having got so far.......

Please be kind Candy Crush soon.

Chrissie said...

Have spent more or less 2 full days playing this game to no effect.

I will have to get a life!

Didn't realise how much I hate to be beaten!

I've used a pair of gloves to change candies! 3 or 4 sprinkle candies I've won on the spinning wheel.

I would even buy extra moves if I ever got near enough!

My best ( a rare achievement) was 5 candies left.....

Am I just unlucky?

Is there anyone out there who has done this level?

Anonymous said...

After 2 1/2 weeks, I finally passed this level! I played it hundreds of times. I worked on clearing as much of the jelly as possible and then combined a striped candy with one of the fish. I got very lucky with a sprinkle/stripe combo and that blasted all the chocolate and most of the jelly at the bottom. I used 5 more moves to clear more jelly. When I had 10 moves left, there were only two jellies. I had 3 lollipop hammers that I accumulated from the booster wheel. I used two to clear the final jellies. I only ended with one star but I finally passed it! So, yes, to the person who posted above, it is possible to get through this!

Anonymous said...

I can understand why some people have quit playing. It is one difficult level after the other in this section. After a while it gets boring. Will keep trying. Hopefully I will get a lucky board soon.

Bill. said...

Finally passed with two bombs plus stripped candies. Very tedious.

Anonymous said...

I guess I have peaked. Only one person on my list has made it as far as me, he even passed me. I've played this level many many many times and haven't come close to beating it. I really wanted to make it to 500 but it doesn't look that's going to happen.

Anonymous said...

Finally passed this level. I had 3 moves left and 2 jellies to clear and no moves to make it happen. That is closest I have ever been so I used 2 lollipop hammers that I had collected to complete the level.

Unknown said...

I have been on this level for ages. I was playing it on my iPad. After playing it on my laptop for the first time. I passed it. This level is obviously bugged from mobile devices. If stuck. Play it on a computer.

Anonymous said...

I finally give in! I am through with candy crush. I got "close" and bought NUMEROUS boosters but still couldn't clear the level. This is ridiculous. I am finished with lining the king pockets. Good luck to all!

Anonymous said...

For me, not as bad as some of the real mind numbing levels. What worked
was staying away from the blocks in cages. This holds the chocolate back and allows you to clear as much jelly as possible before you begin the chocolate battle. Good luck

Anonymous said...

I was stuck on 382 for over a month, so I share your frustration. However, this does involve some planning. Take your time and look at the board to weigh your options. I had a color bomb from the daily booster spin, so I used it. I kept it safe until I had no choice, and used it with a striped. Then I was able to open the board, get another color bomb/striped and conquered the chocolate with 20 moves left. I cleared all the jelly but one. I had 2 moves left and a lollipop hammer from the booster wheel, so I used it. If you have tools available, use them!, booster wheel is good to store up weapons!

D said...

I finally passed this level today. I played it countless times, and they would keep asking me to take that arrow survey to say if I thought the level was fun. Over and over I pointed the arrow towards "no fun". After about three bad reviews from me I got a board with a perfect set up to make a chocolate ball right away . . . Do they program it so that if you give enough bad reviews they give you a good starting board? All I can say is it was a magical board and I beat it with 17 moves left!!! After millions of attempts.

Anonymous said...

I have complained before about these levels where you have to wait until King gives you that "lucky" board - but this one is really the worse one, in my opinion. I have played this a zillion times, and can only get all of the chocolates once ever 25, or so, games. When I do finally clear the chocolates, I have about 10 moves left. I have said I will throw in the towel, at least 10 times before - but then I would get that magic board. This is the longest I have worked a board - and it is possibly the most boring board!

I've also noticed that many times, I only get 3 candies to break - rarely 4 - and to score a sprinkled candy seems impossible. I have used them when I get them as a daily booster, but I think, in over the 100 games I have played - I've only been lucky enough to get a striped candy next to a sprinkle just one time. Several times my stripes act as a regular candy, so I do see another glitch on this board.

Gonna give it a few more days, but this is such a frustrating level that I think, this time, I am really done.

Anonymous said...

Stuck for ages. So frustrating

Been stuck now for over a month!!!!! HELP!! Getting effed off now! Playing on phone tablet and pc!! I need luck!! When is it going to give it to me :(

Anonymous said...

I've been stuck for weeks now. Very rarely clear all the chocolate but even when I do I still can't win! I even had 2 choc/stripe combos on one board once but that didn't even help! Have got down to one jelly about 3 times. Determined to clear with no boosters. I won't be giving King any of my money!

Leslie said...

Waiting for my lucky board, so I have been entering the Dreamworld and guess what?! level 61 is almost identical to this level. Very frustrating all the way around!

Anonymous said...

I cannot add anything to all the above. Lost count of number of lives. Cleared the chocolate just twice but had no moves left to have a go. Maybe I should call it quits. King can make hard levels but gettable. Why have a level that is impossible? This is by far the most boring level. What is the point in useless moves at the top of the screen? Seems to me that King is looking for as many of us to quit as possible. I hate being a quitter but am on the verge. Found playing on PC totally useless and iPad is a close second.

may attempts and still trying :( I found the best to use is two wrapped candy if you are lucky enough to get them. I actually had 1 jelly left and 1 move left so I also used up a hammer lollipop, but for some reason it did not register. :( ARGHHH!! I will keep trying as I can't let it beat me.

Anonymous said...

Finally managed to pass this one after getting to the point of giving up. It can be done but is one of the hardest I've come across. Hope the next few are better!! Good luck everyone.

Anonymous said...

me too....just passed after probably 300+ attempts. no booster, just got the right combinations. can't even remember which combos (at least 3) probably striped/wrapped. and a last lucky chocolate ball that nailed the 2 last blue squares with 6 moves to spare. hardest level of the game yet for me. so glad to be able to move on.

Anonymous said...

This is bt far the hardest one!! I have read all comments and never get anywhere. I have used at least a 1,000 lives, have cleared the chocolates many times but never get a move or combo to get rid of the jellis remaing. Have even bought many boosters....this is the level I think has done me in sad to say :(

Anonymous said...

One assume level after another all in a row. Just let us play so we can get to the end of this horrendous game. I wouldn't encourage anyone to start playing this game. Sorry I ever did. Someone please come up with something else we so we can all trash this game once and for all.

Try this:
Firstly, Don't touch the bottom right & left liquorice-trapped candies. Unlocking them leads to chocolate rampage.

Focus on the top to start with. Clear the blocks to open the top of the board but try to save the fish.

Keep plugging away, removing jelly, and making striped candies wherever possible.
Unleash the fish when you can't do anything else.
The fish can and will pop the odd piece of chocolate AND clear stage 1 of the jelly underneath. All the better if you tie fish to striped or wrapped candies.

I've come close a few times using this approach. Especially when I managed to get a sideways striped candy onto the bottom row and wiped out all the remaining chocolate..

I agree though, it's not a fun-to-play level at all. Relies more on luck than skill and that's bad :(

Silverjan said...

Well, I have never been stuck so long on a level as this one! Read all the tips and watching the videos, but never had anything remotely helpful. Once or twice I've cleared all the chocolate, but after that nothing useable down the bottom section to clear the jelly. Only time will tell whether I ever complete this but will keep going, after all I 've got this far. Unfortunately Amazon have not updated for the Kindle since it's arrival on there in October last year so that option is not working for me, just PC and iPad at the moment.

Brian said...

First off, this is the best cc chat board by far. All input is helpful.
Just wanted to share a screen shot. 11 moves and cleared all the chocolate. Used a fish to get the one in the center, so they wouldn't spread again.

Anonymous said...

Passed on second try. Have a lot of luck. Two five-in-a row bombs got with jelly at the beginning but still one to release. Finally i can release iit with 4 movements left.

Readed comments i have a lot of lucky.... For one time

Unknown said...

Just about had enough of this level. Played it about 50 times and think I've only cleared the chocolate 3 times!! There's no skill, no strategy, no clever moves.....just luck. At the moment I just seem to be 'going through the motions' until my lives are used up :(

Anonymous said...

This level was designed by idiots. The way to describe this level is just one big klusterf... All the comments are accurate. Been on this level pretty much non stop for 4 days. Every half hour with new life I keep plugging away and for what? Why? Just to be shot down again. Enough have only been able to clear chocolate 2 times. Any special I work towards making it does a reshuffle and divides the special up. CC uses divide and conquer strategy against its loyal players. Forces you to make ridiculous moves as it puts us in position of only one if that useful move at a time therefor not allowing us to strategize. Thanks for the great site and comments but I have other things in life I was involved in before CC and it's time to leave CC and get back to a real life. It's new year time to leave CC with the old year. Best of luck to everyone!

Anonymous said...

Adding to above comment I left out something CC pretty much only always you to play one side of the board at a time thereby forcing unwanted moves on us all the more. Just a trap waiting to set us up to fail.

Anonymous said...

This level continually forces you into only one move left which releases the chocolate way to early before it reshuffles. It is like the game is rigged in CC favor over and over again. I thought the game a little earlier with the pie circles and split board was rough this is a killer for sure next to that one.

Anonymous said...

Board repeatedly forces you into only one available move which then releases the chocolate then it reshuffles and won't allow any moves on the side of the board with the chocolate causing the chocolate to spread while only letting you move on the opposite side. Total crap

Anonymous said...

want to comment on the daily spins. Most time just get a sprinkle. I have noticed if I use the sprinkle it puts it on the board where it is the only possible first move to use. So it is wasted. If you lucky enough to get wrapped and striped for daily spin and use that it puts them on opposite sides of the board rather than side by side. Has anyone else noticed this when using the daily spins? Oh well I guess you get what you pay for. Lol

Anonymous said...

I have one bad board after another with a lot of reshuffles every game. Can't seem to make any combos because of the bad boards. I have never been able to get rid of the chocolate and it usually takes up most of the board. I went to the computer and the results were the same. Bad boards with no moves.

Unknown said...

Got to 2 jellies for the second time....so disheartening :(

I genuinely don't mind the developers trying to earn some cash, after they've programmed the game and I've been playing for free all this time. But please give us a chance to do it without stumping up for the boosters

Anonymous said...

finished on last move with only one jelly left, was able to kill the last fish, which finished off this dreadfull level...on side note, I can't figure how some got it done with one or 2 tries...It took me about 3 weeks. (no boosters used on this level)

Anonymous said...

After hundreds of attempts, finally got the choc cleared, 26 moves left to clear 6 jelly and then the moves just dried up with only 2 horizontal stripes available to be made. Yep failed again which only goes to show how BS this game can be and totally relies on luck. One more day and I quit. I am over pushing candy around in the hope that cc decides it is time I can pass.

Unknown said...

After 200+ tries I've got down to 1 jelly....aarrgghhhh!!!!

Anonymous said...

This level is a total joke. There is no way in hell you will get this unless you get a lucky board. You may as well buy a lottery ticket as you have about the same odds of getting this. CC is simply no fun anymore with stupid games like this that require you to be brain dead as any thoughts or strategy are nullified by the game. If you want to keep people playing you need to review some of the stupid levels CC.

Anonymous said...

This accursed level... worst in the game. Good thing for the daily wheel. I spent 4 weeks on this level. Finally, I used a jellyfish to keep the fish coming throughout the level, killed the choc, and used 6 lollypop hammers to finish it since I only had 2 moves left. Still haven't paid a cent, but without the wheel I would still be on it.

Anonymous said...

Thanks to this level I quit CC. You cannot win a game where the amount of moves to be made are so minimal that you can only break the choc in about 2 games in a hundred. You are not going to pass this unless you have a huge amount of luck. I have had a gutsful of waiting for the luck after 500 games and am finished. Judging by the majority of the comments above, I am not the only one.

Anonymous said...

No point to this level at all. You cannot virtually never make enough combos to break the choc up as most of the moves seem to be on one side only. By the time you are half way through the choc has broken so you may as well give up. Total waste of time. After close to 1000 losing attempts, I am going to get a life back & quit this game. Good luck to the poor suckers left. hope your luck is better than mine. :)

Anonymous said...

It is very sad that they have decided that the farther you get in this game that it is just luck and no strategy involved at all.

Anonymous said...

No brains required, just luck. After a week of horror boards & no luck, I give up. Unless you are prepared to spend quite a bit of money on boosters & extra moves you may as well kiss this level goodbye. So long CC, shame it had to finish.

Anonymous said...

You are this far along in the game and you should realize by now ALL the games are based on luck. Some more than others, true, but they all depend on what the board gives you. Frustrating sometimes, yes but you gotten this far, so you know your turn will come. Keep trying and HAVE FUN.

Anonymous said...

Almost ready to quit as this level is almost impossible to pass unless you get a lucky board. Have been on it for ever. Boards have become so bad I cannot even get the choc broken anymore.

Cathy Kewish

I am delighted to say I have finally passed level 461. I must say I am a bit disappointed in the fact that I only did by having to purchase 3 lots of 5 extra moves to break one stupid candy that was left at the end of the normal game. I note that all the candy that came down in the extra moves were not the colour I needed so I also had to use a swap bonus I had. ! Do not tell me this game is not rigged

4 days now still trying. Have gotten down to 3 jellies twice. Not even close most of the time. Very Hard level. Oh we'll I'll keep at it, maybe soon, hopefully lol

Anonymous said...

I am about ready to delete this game! I got all the jellies but one, and that took me forever! Very frustrating! I'm glad I have made it this far, but the end is near.. :(.

Anonymous said...

There have been a few difficult levels up to this point, but this one is really tuff ! Glad to see there have been a few lucky people that have passed it, I'm still trying, but getting very discouraged. The board is hard enough, but the chocolate is a killer !

Anonymous said...

I'm with those commenters who are ready to give up. I've been hooked on CCS -- using my spare time to work toward the finish. But this level is so over the top silly in its reliance on luck. While it's not completely devoid of strategy, the randomizer is so slanted toward killing combos that you cannot spend more than 1 turn trying to build a specific combo. Just basically ape the moves mindlessly and hope the winning moves eventually just drop in your lap. It's just silly...

Anonymous said...

Very hard level. Only able to clear the chocolate 1 in 10 tries if lucky. Usually not enough good moves to finish the jelly after that. Oh we'll I will keep trying and hopefully get a lucky board so I can get past this. Kinda boring now.

Anonymous said...

After 7 days got down to 1 jelly with 3 moves left and the game froze ! Not happy, may have gotten it, but will never know. Sucks

Anonymous said...

Wow. After stupidly trying to break cages initially, rethought strategy and broke as many jellies as possible up top. Wound up forming pkgs and stripes that I did not break until I broke as much jellies as possible normally. Set off stripe wrap combo and all my other stuff blew leaving no chocolate and I had over 30 moves left. Wound up breaking rest of jellies with 1 move left. This was my first try with this strategy. Had tried 3 x other way and never got rid of chocolate obviously. Real happy after reading rest of comments!!

SIGHHHHHH

Unknown said...

Finally completed after trying every day for 4 weeks!! Though I'd got the final jelly but nothing happened....then noticed there was one left :( Luckily my 2 remaining moves cleared that one, yay!! This level nearly made me give up on CC but I was determined to beat it without spending cash

Anonymous said...

Woohoo! 10 days and over 200 tries I got it ! Didn't ever think I'd get past this one. Glad I did. Good luck to everyone.

Teresa said...

OMG! I'm the one who put SIGHHHHHH above! I beat itI I was ready to quit, but played it real fast on my iPhone. I usually play on iPad. Somehow LADY LUCK gave me 2 sprinkles beside each other! Keep it up! I mostly win by luck, so if I can beat it, YOU can beat it! I will say the "helpers" who commented to try to get rid if the chocolate are correct! Damn that chocolate! Oops! Can I say that on here?

Anonymous said...

I just now hate the creator of this level.....so frustrated level...I give up...Hey its no more fun your game. And if you think you made it harder, we will spend money on it, think twice baby. Good luck everyone. Creator of this game is obviously laughing at us.

Anonymous said...

I think I'll be on this for a while. The annoying thing is trying to get at the jelly at the bottom of the screen. When it forces you to only move in areas at the top of the screen, you just want to give up and say a long string of profanities at it. Why do I play this? I used to have fun..

Anonymous said...

In addition to being nearly impossible to beat, I've experienced 2 glitches with this level that make me want to just give up the game.

1) While on my computer (not phone), the game with randomly end with a "No more switches available" message.

2) The fish don't do anything. They just disappear.

Anonymous said...

Probably tried this level between 50 and 100 times, it really is all down to luck, somehow i got a chocoball and a striped candy combo twice. Had one more jelly to get and i got that by using a chocoball with 4 moves left. just keep trying until you get that lucky draw

Anonymous said...

This level is pure evil. In all the levels I've done up till this point, I always thought I was in with a chance of beating it, not this one. This level brought about strange emotions. Earlier hard levels made me angry when I got close but didn't complete them. I was usually happy at completing these levels. After 5 days, anger was replaced with care factor 0 whether I got it or not. Went through the motions of attempting the level expecting to fail. When I finally got it after roughly 200+ lives and 12 days I felt next to nothing, not joy, happiness or even relief. I was an emotional void. I made sure I saved all candy hammers (2) till the final 2 jellies only. Never used them unless I was assured of winning. This level needs more than luck.

Anonymous said...

This level is a joke, but fortunately it's a pretty humorous one. I haven't passed it yet in the 200+ times I've tried but I've come close a few times.

I'd get choco balls and right before i could match them with a striped candy, a fish would come and explode it. of all the random luck!! Oh shit, this happened 4 times!

I'd get down to a few jellies and explode a fish. And they wouldn't do anything! Some one commented above they saw the same problem. Convenient bug dickheads.

Then there's the ever classic, "no way i'm going to win" - I have like 20 jellies left and 4 moves. Then, all of a sudden, mayhem happens! Shit's exploding everywhere, landing perfectly, creating more and more combos that explode themselves. Then!!! just as i'm about to hit the jackpot.....it stops with 1-3 jellies left. DAMN! But THEN.....pops up the "pay to continue?" This has happened 6 times with 10 or more jellies left.

All the game wants is money and I have yet to spend a dime on this game! So go ahead and suck my balls candy crush, you ain't getting shit from me. You're about to IPO and you're still trying to suck 99 cents from my pockets. Nice try! And I know you don't care about 1 person's money, but when someone asked me if they should start playing CC, I told them to play Hit It Rich instead (Bah-ZYNGA!!! see what I did there?)

So yeah, at this level your game SUCKS and is BORING. Whoever the powers may be, I put in my time. Can you please flip the switch for me and give me that oh so sought after lucky board so I can continue my miserable existence with this miserable game? Because I will never pay you a dime for this or any other King game. Thank You!

Anonymous said...

This level keeps loading up without any moves, but "suggests" I magically move a candy out of its cage to make a match. Thanks for sucking away lives without even letting me move, CC. What on earth..

Anonymous said...

Stuck on this one for several days. I like a challenge, but this is crazy. May be time to stop this craziness!

Anonymous said...

Came here for tips, but only find that luck is the key. I'm not the lucky type, so will give it a couple more days and then call it quits. Even with combos and destroying all the chocolate, I can't get the right candies to clear the rest.(sigh)

Anonymous said...

Same here - not one lucky board -
I will quit - played this level for 2 weeks without coming close to win.

Unknown said...

Used stripe & wrapped that I got from wheel. Kept restarting until I could drop them into lower left or right corners - took quite a few restarts. This allowed me to clear all chocolate on 2nd move, as well as break most of the cages. If they happen to be placed in the corner, the chocolate could be removed first turn. The rest was basic cc.

Anonymous said...

just used a color bomb booster on this level that i got from spinning the wheel. put it in the very bottom left corner between the chocoloate and the locked in candy. was gone in 2 moves. Can't imagine how pissed i'd be if i had bought the booster. this level is terrible

Anonymous said...

To those of you thinking of quitting, don't! This is one of the hardest levels but if you made it this far, it does get better. Once you pass this, the levels are better until you reach 500. 500 is a tough one had but 501 through 530 are pretty much a breeze! I'm on 530 now and very close to passing it. Sad that I have to wait for King to add some more! Hang in there!

Anonymous said...

was stuck for a while. I got lucky having two wrapped candies, which got rid of half the chocolate and then got a color bomb and stripe together. Ended it with a lollipop.

Anonymous said...

This level is rigged. Watch how the candy float down when chocolate is busted.. some will disappear and then regen new colors.. be careful and watch and you will see what I mean. This level is so borked

Anonymous said...

This level SUCKS!! I have never been stuck on a level for this long (2 weeks+)! I refuse to spend any money on this game, as I have not thus far, and am not about to start! But this level definitely makes me want to quit!!!

Anonymous said...

hoooooooooooooooooo finally completed this level after 1 week. sooooo soooooo happy. till now one of the super super level

Anonymous said...

i am hoping for some insight to this level, been on it quite a while and i clear the center to have more work space but it doesn't give you the moves you really need! have only cleared the chocolate a few times and too late in the game to clear the jellies!! arrrgggg! i will keep trying but at this point it seems hopeless!

Anonymous said...

finally!!! got the lucky board!! had to use one chocolate muncher but got all the right combo's! it was a miracle!! you do need to know to make the combo's but i feel a lot of luck is involved with this one!!!

Anonymous said...

I have been on the level for weeks, after using two free boosters on my Ipad I carefully cleared the board only to get a message I left wo jellies. I certainly did NOT since I took my time using the boosters because I was that close. Pisses me off!!!!

Anonymous said...

This one took me a long time. I saved up bonuses from spin wheel, which included a number of hammer lollipops to use towards the end.

Anonymous said...

Finally got this level, on about the sixtieth try, though I had to use a couple of the chocolate/jelly/licorice munchers that I got somehow (I was thinking of buying hammers to get the last two jellies, but tried the munchers since I already had them). I didn't get a sparklie/stripe combo in the winning try, but I did get a wrapped/wrapped combo near the chocolate and that took out a lot of the chocolate (a nearby stripe and another wrap caught in the blast certainly helped). I cleared the rest, only the second time I got all the chocolate and then concentrated on removing the rest of the jelly in that tricky lower section. When it became apparent that I was not going to get the last two pieces conventionally, I used the munchers. One thing that helped in getting this level was to keep the chocolate contained as long as possible, and to clear the blocking cream against the fish to open up the board and get more room for vertically-blasting stripes. The fish themselves were neither a help nor a hindrance.

My board keeps freezing ? to many reshuffles ,been playing now for 4 day and I've yet to clear the chocolate , I love candy crush but there have been a few howlers for levels ,this one is one of the worse , tried everything that previous posters have recommended but unless you get a decent board you have no chance at all , to get to this level and be stuck on this is horrible ,I rate this as second worse level yet .

Anonymous said...

Hi,
I was on this level for ages. What helped me was clearing the middle column first, while not releasing the chocolate. This gave me better opportunity for combos. The double bomb was most effective. A little luck didn't hurt either.

Anonymous said...

Bored now - I don't mind difficult but it's just plain boring making the few moves that the board graciously allows you before it shuffles and moves any combos you may have been trying to build up. I see that many people who have written above have used boosters (free or paid for) and I have no doubt that the recent stock market flotation is behind this level. Wonder if this comment will post/stay up!

Anonymous said...

Got through this boring level this morning after 3 days and countless lives. So wish I could pass on pearls of wisdom on how to do it but in the end it came down to luck and 2 lollipop hammers. I did manage to get only my 3rd chocolate ball/striped combo, which took out most of the chocolate and triggered a cascade which took out the rest - again, only the 3rd time I had managed to do this. Of course you want to preserve the bottom "cage" for as long as possible - but too often it is broken by a fish or a cascade or it is the only possible move on the board. Don't feel at all clever to have passed, just relieved.

Anonymous said...

Absolutely the worst level ever, I've been here for AT LEAST 3 weeks and can't tell you how bored I am. If I don't get a lucky board soon, sorry to say, I will quit! :( I really liked this game too.

Anonymous said...

after 2 weeks I finally started to get a lucky board and with 27 moves left, the game wouldn't give me a combo. It kept shinning 2 blue candies with no 3rd in sight! you CC smart asses need to fix this or I'm done!

Anonymous said...

finally beat this after 3 weeks and a lot of frustration. The only advice I can give is I got 2 wrapped candies close to the botton which took out the chocolates and I had a fish left close to the end that took out the last 3 jellies. OMG so glad I'm done with this cuz I was ready to quit!!!

Anonymous said...

This is annoying.... after lots of tries just finished this level and after "wonderful" comment, the game got stuck. Same thing happend before at level 452 and 453. Please check if any issue with the app. At this stage of the game, these are quite tough level, and if this happens many a time it is annoying....

Anonymous said...

This level is such a pain. I thought I was never going to clear it, first time, I saw no hope. Finally, during my 100th trial, one colored ball and one stripe cleared all the chocolate first. Then I managed to clear a lot of below jellies with stripes and combos. Very very difficult level, no fun too because it was hard to form bombs with the layout.

Anonymous said...

I've just about given up. At this level for 2 months +. Not even close. Not fun.

Anonymous said...

Yes i agree with everybody. Stop giving advise on how to do the levels. We all know how to play it. The f@#*ing developers are the "guilty" ones. If you are lucky to get rid of the chocolate very quick. The game only give one possible 3 candy's combination for the next 20 moves.

Anonymous said...

Stuck on this level for far too long ... well over a month!! I've tried all the strategies my wits can connive but you can't get anywhere if the proper pieces aren't there. I'm really tired of this level!!

Anonymous said...

What a piece of crap this f^*%&$* game is. Please switch over to Candy Swipe and teach these Mo%^$%$ F&^%%$$$ developers a lesson.

Anonymous said...

I am so sick of this effing level. If I get lucky enough to clear most of the chocolate, it won't give me any good moves to finish off the rest of it so it just takes over the whole board. Complete joke! I actually got rid of all the chocolate twice, with 20 or so moves to spare, and then all I could do was make mindless 3 candy switches at the top of the board. I'm NOT PAYING to play this game. I love the challenging levels, but the completely unfair levels like this one are ridiculous!

Anonymous said...

I have been stuck on this level for almost a month. The first time I played it I cleared almost all and the game errored out. Another time, the game crashed right when I got them all cleared. I also have 6 pinwheel powerups that can't be used with this game...what a scam !

Anonymous said...

Hated 461, finally passed it using
extra time and hammer.
It was no fun just annoying

Anonymous said...

I can't believe how unfair this level is. Plain stupid. I don't understand the point - I'M NOT PAYING FOR HELP! It doesn't even give you a chance to use some strategy to clear it. You only have moves that won't break the chocolate so it just multiplies. If I'm lucky enough to get a color bomb, it won't allow me to make a stripe next to it and so it gets wasted on one color. The fish frequently don't even hit the chocolate. What a joke!!!

Anonymous said...

Ok, here's how I passed. Firstly - luck. Second, I reset until it looked like, 1 - I would get a sprinkle bomb and 2 - there was no easy way to open that bottom caged candy that let out the chocolate. I got the sprinkle bomb early and, lucky, it was next to an orange stripe near the bottom. (That was the best chance for clearing the chocolate.) I left that combo there while I cleared out some jelly up top and increased the number of orange candies as much as possible so they would be stripes when I detonated the sprinkle/stripe. t cleared out most chocolate and a lucky move cleared the last couple. I had over 30 moves left to clear jelly and just managed it with one move left. So sprinkle/stripe combo early was the key with luck.

Anonymous said...

I was at this level since last year and finally pass it. I was lucky to get the stripes and wrap combo at the right bottom of the board at the first few moves. all choc were cleared right away. everything get easier after that. i focused on clear the the corner and center jellies.
Good luck everyone...

Michelle dv said...

An evil level! It's so difficult to get those last few jellies at the bottom ... and that darn chocolate is dreadful.

I resorted to using a daily free spin fish and that did the trick. It gave me several extra fish and I managed to combine a few of those with striped. I had one wrap stripe combo as well as one sprinkle. So nothing to write home about. But the fish solved it for me and for that I am grateful.

Anonymous said...

After 3 weeks of playing at least 20 games per day I finally managed to pass this level. It was not fun, but I finally got a board that with the help of 3 (free spin) lollipop hammers allowed me to complete it on my last move. Very, very frustrating. Gramma

Anonymous said...

CCS just gave me full lives and 5 lollipop hammers, they were posted on my account, with Congratulations, then they took them away! What a rip, it cheats.

sprocket2 said...

Well, it can be done, but it took lots of luck. I played a couple of hundred lives before I got a chance to form TWO sprinkle balls early in the game. That killed all of the chocolate. I was then able to use two striped/wrapped pairs to wipe out most of the jelly. But I'm not ashamed to say that I also ended up using five lollipops that I got from playing another game to finish up. I wasn't about to end up again thinking I'd just do a better job next time. I was done! I think the people who got through this level in just a couple of turns were very lucky indeed. Anyone who has reached this point in the game knows they have to play slowly, watch the whole board, look for places to make special candies, etc. And sometimes the CC gods just have to be with you. This is one of those. Good luck to all, I'm off to the next level. And thanks to everyone who does post helpful hints. I appreciate all of them.

Brian said...

The only 'strategy' per se is: 1) Avoid releasing the chocolate as long as possible and 2) try to clear all the top jellies without using your fishes. That way you can use the fish to clear the 'trapped' chocolate. You also need one real good placement of a stripped/wrapped combo to clear out the chocolate. Even with all that I still had to use 5 extra lives plus one hammer. Once the chocolate was all gone it was easier to make stripes which when used with a hammer is how I managed to finally clear this board.

That's it, I,m done. Just too hard.
