Candy Crush Saga level 864

Tips for level 864 Candy Crush Saga

Please "LIKE" and "SHARE"------>

This is a jelly level with 40 moves to clear the board.
There is jelly under the cake bombs as well as the popcorns, so everything has to be cleared to complete level 864.
First have a good look around the board to see where you can start to best effect.
The chocolate needs to be cleared fairly quickly or it will take over and block your already limited moves.
A colour bomb/stripe combo early on will take care of the chocolate, although it will mess up the board and make other specials less easy to see.
Stripe/wrap combos will be very good for growing the popcorn as well as clearing the cakes.
The popcorn will stop the blast from stripes getting through to the cakes so the sooner you clear them the better. Wraps are great for growing popcorn as well as clearing the cakes, switch one beside a popcorn and you get 2 explosions so the popcorn is nearly grown.
Once you get the colour bombs try to switch them with another special, but best of all is 2 colour bombs switched together, this will clear the board and some of any remaining cake bomb.

First try on this one. Was able to control chocolate and make timely stripe/stripe and stripe/wrap combos. Also managed to make choco/stripe and choco/wrap combos. Think I got a great board. JS

Only one comment? Where is everyone? This episode is still not on my iPad. Someone told me to download Puffin so zi did but it does not work well. It is slow and often freezes.

What is the secret. By the time I clear the popcorn and get to the cakes, I only have 2 or 3 moves left

Make as many combos as you can to kill the chocolate, cook the popcorn and destroy the cakes. After that it's very easy to take care of the jelly underneath.

If you can break the popcorn and reveal 2 Choc bombs together, switch them for really fast results.

Finally on my IPad

second attempt - I got two colour bombs together, made it easy. Regards AJ

JanC here. All I can say after 20 lives on an android tablet: brutal!!! Have tried all tips, matched countless sprinkle balls, wraps, stripes, combos galore, & not come close so far.:(

Finally got it! One star, but who cares...lol. 2 chocolate balls together plus lots of combos. Needed to use my hand switch at the very end. Whew!

JanC again. 24 hour break fromcc did the trick. Came closer than I ever have on my first two games today, then made it on the last move on my third try. Two stars, but hey no boosters (believe me, I was ready to use my precious hammers, but in the end, didn't have to.) Not a hate-able level really, just harder than the other commenters here indicated. Could it be the lackluster cascade action on a tablet that I've read about? I have no way of comparing; I've only played on iPhone or android tablet. Anyway, over loads of lives yesterday, could only clear the tarts (if at all) too late in the game to have enough moves to clear the jellies beneath them. But today was better; maybe it was the eclipse :)

Easy level or did I just get a lucky board first try. All types of combos help.

5th try, no boosters, 2 stars. 2 sprinkle + sprinkle combos clear the cakes. Then just worry about clearing the jelly under them.

Hi it's Kath... 7th attempt, no boosters... Sprinkle/sprinkle combo does the trick, I was lucky enough to get a few extra sprinkles and make combos with a striped.. Good fun!!!

Anonymous said...

Again, third try, lucky to have three sprinkle-sprinkle combos, they took care of everything ;)

Finished this level on the second try. Needed a hammer to take out the last part of the pie. After that a stripe and wrapper combo on the bottom just about finished it off. Matched a few candies to win. Good luck!!!

Have come close a couple of times BUT not enough moves! Hard breaking the bomb cake! UGH

After a few tries, what worked for me...

Ignore the chocolate for as long as you can, and concentrate on the combos as choc will be destroyed in the cascades.

And yes, another impossible level, based on pure luck....pffff

Many days and many lives and still not close. Going to try on my lap top. That always seems to work when it seems impossible on my ipad.

c/candycrush here
I'm in awe of people who managed to get through in only a handful of turns.
Some goes I barely got anywhere.

Just got through today-no boosters.

Everything in the starting explanation at the top applies.

I had forgotten nothing went through the popcorn. It was so hard to clear the cakes.
A colour ball/wrap combo is a bit of a waste in this game although wraps are great NEAR the popcorn.

My take on it. Kill the choc asap but not at the expense of making a great combo. You need the choc gone by the time you get down to 30 moves.

I managed to clear both cakes at once with only 8 moves left.
Luckily after the blasts all the jelly from one of the cakes had gone.

So it can be done.
But my guess is you would usually need to have those cakes cleared a min of 8 moves out to give you the time.

Attack the ufo then try to match chocolate bomb with a striped candy did this twice which got rid of both cakes. Then bit of luck to clear the last bit of jelly.

Kfmconsultimg said...

Same tips as c/candycrush above. I didn't get a UFO as Bill said or it would have been easier to open the popcorn. Make as many combos as possible. Took a dozen lives to clear the first cake but was able to finish after that. 1 star, no boosters. This episode turning out to be harder than the last one!

Anon lafy said...

Yes, I was wondering where the UFO was too! This level was a bit of a challenge but I finally got it with no boosters. I did manage to get two sprinkles together which was a great help. The chocolate was a bit of a pain! I abandoned several gos when it overwhelmed me.

What UFO? You must be thinking of a different level.

I absolutely loathe this awfully boring and difficult level. Once again, I'm just waiting for a lucky board. Ugh.

Anonymous said...

I wish I was able to describe just how much I hate this level. I have wasted so many lives while trying to beat it, and no way am I getting any closer to winning. Very frustrating.

Anonymous said...

861 and 863 were tough but this one is worse. This one reminds me a lot of 437 but here there are chocolates instead of the third cake. Awful horrible level especially on mobile!

Anonymous said...

And the popcorn blockers of course which are so annoying!

Cannot believe my luck tonight...After just getting past last level with lucky last move I get this on 1'st try..no boosters...Read all the tips & comments & while going after chocolate I get an early big candy bomb/stripe combo that opens up some space & get on next move a wrap/wrap double explosion over popcorns & get another quick bomb/stripe combo that busts all popcorn & gives me 3 candy bombs & 2 side by side ..After hitting that it all but cleared the cake bombs & with plenty moves I picked off the few remaining cake slices & got perfect hammer layouts with easy matchs to eliminate remaining jellies..Fun level & winning wasn't bad either.I got very lucky but level otherwise with patience & focus is doable..Stay with it

Looks like I'll be here for awhile.

Not so bad! Just took my time looking for combos and got lucky i guess.

Has anyone managed to pass this level on Android? Seems impossible!

Anonymous said...

Well, it is possible! I just passed this level on an Android after MANY attempts. I have no clue how I managed this, but I did have, for the first time, 3 chocolate sprinkles next to stripes.

Dexter Frantz said...

I was surprised I got this the 1st time and
figured if I hadn't I'd be stuck at this for days.
I waited for a board where I'd be able to control the chocolate.
I was able to beak the popcorn and finally match a choc. ball with a stripe.
That cleared both cakes at once.
By then, I was low on moves and completed it with no moves left.
One star but have never cared about how many stars I get. Of course 3 is better but completing some of these nasty levels is my only goal.
Good luck!

Passed in about 10 lives by using free fish -

Anonymous said...

JSN: Have used about 20 lives so far. The game is hard and requires some luck, but I feel that there's skill involved, too. Not like some of the levels we've been through recently that are all luck. I have yet to free even one of the pizzas. Maybe a fish would help...

Anonymous said...

JSN: Just wasted a fish. What did work was using my lollypop hammer to get two candy balls next to each other. Still looked to come up short, but I got a second candy ball - candy ball combo set up on its own, and this left me with just the one set of jellies under the second pizza, which I was able to take care of. Nice to be done with this one.

My only tip is to ignore the chocolate as it disappears in the cascades. Tricky level. Getting the side bits of the cake are the hardest even with the six colour bombs on the board! Enjoyable though I guess.

I'm happy for you guys that passed this level easily, but I've have an AWFUL time with it. I've even gotten to chocolate balls together two or three times, but that doesn't do anything to the cakes. 😖
