Candy Crush Saga level 865

Tips and tricks for level 865 Candy Crush Saga

Please "LIKE" and "SHARE"------>

Level 865 is a jelly level with 50 moves to clear the jelly.
All the jelly is hidden under the chocolate apart from a few squares in the separate box bottom right.
There is no jelly under the popcorns, so you can ignore them completely if you want. The popcorns will give useful colour bombs if you manage to grow them, but don't waste moves on them, just use them if they turn into colour bombs from other plays you make.
There is a frog hidden in the chocolate, which can be useful for getting those spare few jellies in the bottom section if you can't get them with combos.
Uncover the frog to see what colour he is, then match a colour bomb with his colour to grow him so he can be used.
The first few moves are very restricted due to the small playing area and the encroaching chocolate, so just work your way into the chocolate until you have space to make your combos.

Awful level as are so many with 6 colors. If you don't get a good part of the chocolate destroyed in the first 20 moves then just quit and try again. You'll be shuffling and shuffling and shuf...

The hardest level in a long time. 3 days in and nowhere near. I think I will have to await the lucky board

So glad you guys are back.

It took a few tries, but thought it was a fun level. Think starting with a chocolate bomb might help , but I didn't try that. The tips are very good for this level. Knowing there is no jelly under the popcorn helped, so I didn't spend time trying to burst them; just went after the chocolate to get to the frog. JS

Thank you for the tip about no jelly under the popcorn. Had been focusing on clearing the popcorn but cleared the level in 3 tries after reading this blog. Thanks for the help!

Just completed the last level which was really hard for me. Now this!😊I am trying!

Make as many combos as you can. Use the frog to reach the difficult bits

One stripe wrap combo cleared choc..then color bomb cleared one color on popcorn..two choc bombs in box struck together cleared couple of jellies...5 attempts. .not bad

I was getting very frustrated with this level. Got it in one try after reading the comments, though part was a lucky board (got two wrapped next to each other near the bottom of the left board). A couple of tips...if the chocolate grows straight across the top of the board, you won't get any more candies, and unless you can make a special that clears some of that chocolate away, it's game over. I didn't concentrate on the popcorn at all. Feed the frog and then stick him in the 4 jelly cage and he knocks out the four jellies. I don't usually find the frog too helpful but this time it was.

Hardest level so far on this episode, eventually got it via the frog, was able to use a colour bomb to feed it the used it on the bottom right, this also grew the popcorn and after another hot I was able to combine the frog with the resulting colour bomb. I then used the frog again in the bottom right and this made three more colour bombs. Rest history. Regards AJ

2nd try, not too bad actually

JanC here. Three stars, no boosters, but it took at least 20 lives. And for at least the first dozen, I couldn't see how I'd ever get through. For me it was one of those levels that I improve through playing and after awhile, start to see the light. Then, it just takes a lucky board. For tips, maybe roll boards til you open with one that lets you take out chocolate first move, and at first, prioritize moves that make inroads in the chocolate. I agree with the tip to ignore the popcorn entirely, and feed the frog so you can move it to popcorn corner. It will take out all jellies there.

Oh God Jan C is back. I never believe a word she says about how easily and quickly she gets thru. Feed the frog as quickly as possible. Then move it to the middle of the popcorn section. After that it will probably be easy if you have enough moves left. A lucky board will help. I'll get it eventually.

5 tries, no boosters, 3 stars. First time I was able to get through all of the chocolate, I was able to knock out the jelly.

You didnt know she is the candy crush queen?

Took about 10 tries. Lucky with 2 color bombs and stripes. Pretty much cleared the board.

First try, three stars and no booster. Life is Good ;););)
Good advice to use sprinkle on same color candy as the frog.

No luck on the tablet, but first try on the PC. Started the game with a stripe and wrapper booster. After a reshuffle they ended up next to each other. Was lucky there and that put a good dent in the board. With the help of a few more stripes and wrappers I had the chocolate cleared. Worked on the frog until it was filled up and used it to take out the bottom right corner, with 12 moves left.

Yet another nightmare level. I'm quite good at candy crush usually, but some are worse at playing than me. Those are the people who are really getting fed up of the "need divine intervention" to complete levels. It was 20 wrapperss to complete one impossible level which had to be reduced to 10 via update because everyone was deleting the game. Welcome to another one. Get it sorted king because people are having enough !!!

2nd try, lucky board. Reset was my friend with a wrap/stripe combo in the near future. Used frog almost at the end in the popcorn box and the new choc bombs combined did the trick.

What is wrong with you all? The only thing I can figure is you're a couple of junior high kids.

It's really lame that the little eyes hiding in the chocolate made me laugh... I think this game is getting to me... Fun level though.

Plodding away through this level on iPad ... Will try on PC ... Think it's just an 'await the lucky board' level but not too frustrating

Done on PC. Ignore popcorn completely clear chocolate then activate the frog and move to rhs. Needed two hammers from bonus wheel to finish the job.

c/candycrush here.

Really tough level, it has taken me a few solid days of effort and I was starting to despair.

First off, you can ignore the popcorn, no jelly under it. If you do manage to break it, you get a colour ball, but focus only on clearing the chocolate.

As you will all have realised, this is in the lap of the gods at the start, but if you can make inroads, look to make special candies or combos to help clear things.

I got through without boosters & no combos except a stripe/wrap which was a huge help. Didn't manage to grow froggie either. I did get a couple of individual wraps plus a couple of lone stripes which saved the day for me on the last move.
So take heart, it can be done, even in a less than brilliant game.

I did use a fish booster & colour ball a couple of times in some previous games. Wonderful help, sensational score but I still didn't get through. Worth a try if you are desperate though.
And I was prepared to use a lollipop hammer in my final game. If you get down to about 2 jellies, don't hesitate!
Good luck!

I've tried everything and still no luck. How's about time for a lucky board. Waiting patiently.

Used my fish and went right through it.

Tough level but not as bad as the first few in this episode. Need lucky board. I ignored the popcorn and the jellies in that corner cleared with other combos. Towards the middle, I started getting spontaneous sprinkles, which let me clear the board. 3 stars, no boosters.

WOWEE! That was a tough one. I had to use some of my gold bars to 'buy' more moves to finish it. I reset the board to get a good start but that chocolate seemed to grow really fast! Anyway, it's done now.

JanC and Anonymous are THE WORST!

Hated this level. After 15 tries of constant reshuffles & constant chocolate I was praying for lucky board to relieve the torture.I got one & really started taking out the chocolate & cascading combos down to frog & thought all well until I had just 3 lower jellies left & candy bomb just created that my moves ended.I wanted to scream but noticed I had accumulated over time 9 gold bars..I could not imagine failing again so I broke down & used them for xtra 5 moves...Got the jellies on 2nd xtra move...So glad its over..Sorry I caved in but I was going nuts...Good luck li

Laney says ugh. Finally got it with extra moves, 4 switches, & a hammer. Used all the bank. Got sprinkles & stripes combos. Most of popcorn grown. Used switches to grow frog & moved him to rt. lower. Then used hammer on frog & switches to move 2 sprinkles together. What a biach.

I think c/candycrush has the best comments. I always look for her tips first. And Bill, the master of succinctness.

I think this is the first time I have come here just to complain. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to pass the time while the dogs were doing their thing by playing this level. I looked at that wall of chocolate and went "ugh!" but I ended up with ONE jelly. I hadn't looked at this blog yet and seen the 'no jelly under popcorn' hint or I so would have used a hammer and been done with it. So far today after many lives have not even gotten close to the frog, let alone grow it. And, to add insult to injury, King has now decided to label levels "HARD". Well thanks, King! Cause I couldn't have figured that out by myself! What are we supposed to do? Skip the hard ones? Gird our loins? Do we get anything extra for getting through?
I find that label gratuitous and kind of insulting. If you get a great board it's still not going to be hard right? And if you don't, any of them can be.

That's it. I'm done grousing. Thanks for the tips. Bad on me for not reading before I played :(

865 is rubbish. My board just kept reshuffling until there were no more possible moves. I gather there are punters who pay good money for this crap,

connie said...

This is the hardest, most boring level yet. The chocolate is relentless, opportunities for moves are minimal, and boosters aren't even helpful. I think I might just quit cc right here after days on this of no progress

Took me almost a week of playing off and on to win the last level so I'll have to see how this one goes. Surprised the last one wasn't put in the hard category. I finally did it by using one of my free fish boosters. It was put in an odd location with a color bomb/striped combo released it were it did so good. Just glad to have it over.

Anonymous said...

Strange--took me almost a week to complete level 864 and won it this afternoon with help from a fish booster. Moved on to 865 the hard level and won it on my third try with three stars and no boosters. Makes no sense but I'll take it. I think lucky boards often have to come into play.

Anonymous said...

This has got to be the most boring level EVER!!! In 2 days and countless lives I have only seen the frog's color 2 times. The chocolate takes over to quickly and then shuffle, shuffle and shuffle. I am not one to complain on this blog but I had to say something. I'll keep trying. Some say if you complain here then they go back to the game and win. Here's hoping.

Very poorly designed level
Abysmal
Cannot make inroads in chocolate as there are simply no moves available
Come on CC give me a break!

Nothing fun about this, guess a person must get a very lucky board. Played numerous times to no avail and getting annoyed. Anyway good luck all !
