Candy Crush Saga level 877

Tips for level 877 Candy Crush Saga
You have 50 moves to clear the jelly on Candy Crush Saga level 877.
The jelly is hidden under the chocolate and cream, with licorice to block your moves and generally make life difficult.
The most difficult jellies to clear are in the bottom row, which can be cleared either using a colour bomb, once the cream is removed, or a stripe/wrap combo switched along the side or bottom of the board.

  2. JanC Just curious as to what level in Dreamworld your in ? All us players at this 850+ level are adept & DW after 500 on average more difficult than Reality with unstable moonscales to contend. Was just curious to see your progress on that side & love your insights On Reality..You are sure to be inducted in the Crush Hall of Fame once all levels achieved..

    2. I've been stuck in dreamworld 272 also, for like 10 months. Hate it! I seldom play dreamworld anymore cause I can't get through level 272

  3. Looks like we have a select group of players at this level fighting for their space? Where is JanC? No hall of fame as prior player suggested if she backs out now ? Where is our super star?

  4. I am on this level (877) and on Dream World 266. which is near impossible for me :(

  7. Is that your comment above JanC ? Is our future hall of famer trailing player on DW 610?...JanC you cannot afford to be humble any more as you are losing your edge...We are but a few select players at this level & you will need to become the center again if you are to prevail...Good Luck C

  10. JanC here. Got 877 on my second try, three stars. No doubt a lucky board. Unlike my troll, I am hopeless at dreamworld!!! Hats off to all of you who can do it! I think I'm on level 72 or so, and find lots of DW

  11. Found that working my way down the board helped. Managed to somehow get rid of all the chocolate with a sprinkle/stripe combo with 24 moves left, which made it very relaxing to carefully plan my moves. Still needed to use a lollipop hammer for the last jelly :-/

  12. JanC here! Another easy peazy level for myself! Gang, not hard here, just used a colour bomb and a couple hammers I bought and finito!! 3 stars 1st try! Good luck fellow crushers!!!

  13. Jeez... This one was tricky but fun. Many tries, 3 stars, 1 lollipop hammer to get the last corner jelly. Lots of sprinkles needed, stripe+wraps, and sprinkle+stripe needed to get close.

  14. I hate to be the bad guy but I honestly feel JanC is something less than she proclaims. Not only am I tired of her claims of beating these levels on 1'st try but fact she admits she cannot win on Dreamworld? If she is truly the player she says on Reality she should as well be beating DW...I believe JanC is not all she claims & from here on to the end I cannot honestly believe any thing she says..She is inconsistent & makes no sense..JanC why not get your act together & join us in an honest quest to final victory.I am no longer your fan !!!!! Sorry

  23. Thank you Jay, I finally beat this one following the advice to open up the board as quickly as possible taking care to make those horizontals and wraps which you really need at the bottom! The key I found was to really take your time- the two bottom corners were the toughest but this is beatable!

  27. Fun tactical level that's still challenging. It's difficult to get the corners, but horizontal stripes along the bottom help.

  30. c/candycrush here
Rating, quite hard, especially as I tended to play the whole 50 turns before losing. But also quite an enjoyable level.

The hardest part is the bottom so if you are lucky enough to get a colour ball or stripe/wrap combo try to knock out some of the bottom.
I got through with 2 or 3 stripe/wrap combos that popped up near the end. Some extreme talent of course but mainly luck.
No boosters either. I had been prepared to use a couple of hammers too.
Hang in there, a good board will come eventually-has taken me a few days but concentrate on those bottom bits if you can.

  31. Need a good start to unlock the popcorn then usual combinations. Chocolate a nuisance needed hammer from bonus wheel to get the last jelly.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Got root? If so, you can have reusable boosters.

    Google "titanium backup" "reusable boosters".

    ReplyDelete
  33. Took several days, a lot of lives and a lucky board to finally get through this one. Work your way down the middle of board, take out the popcorn as soon as possible and make lots of combos. 3 stars, no boosters on PC.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Read all the comments & tips & after several failures knew level was doable but could take time & be frustrating with so much to clear & tough bottom corners...Got close a few times & then got some luck & able to open board down middle & got some bomb/stripe & stripe wrap combos to do major damage...started clearing up sides & had few vertical stripe matches & ended up with single jellie on far bottom left & 1 move ..I had spin hammer booster & my patience thin so flipped a coin & came up hammer :)))) Got it with spin booster...Level fun & doable with patience..Hope you have more than me....

  35. How many times have we seen posts where players are so frustrated with a particular level that they swear they are quitting? I feel that way about all of the JanC posts here. I'm quitting this blog because of the "tween" -like posts that have bastardized this once great site. Are you JanC people really middle school gossips? Pathetic if not.

  36. I wish the trolls would stop wasting our time!!

I have just cracked this level, which was getting boring, to be honest. I got down to one double jelly so I used my last hammers on it. The best combos are sprinkle/stripe and wraps. Don't waste your sprinkles - look carefully for useful moves.

  37. Fuck off, you childish troll.

  39. 877 is MUCH harder than 875. This one should definitely be rated Insanely Hard on Wiki. I am surprised it was only rated Hard. This level is almost impossible on mobile due to the lack of cascades which are more evident on the facebook computer version. I've played hundreds of times for 2 days solid. That Jan C girl should play on Ipad without any boosters. Let's see how well she does then. If you don't have significant headway after about 20 moves start it again. Way too many hard to reach multiplayer blockers at the bottom which are too well protected by licorice and chocolate. I'm absolutely sick of this evil horrible level!! This may be the worst yet!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Getting nowhere on iPad with this level, despite plenty of sprinkles and strip combos ... Going to try on the PC

    ReplyDelete
  41. Finally! Used a sprinklle, a wrap/stripe and fish booster that I had from the daily wheel. Was left with one double jelly which I took out with two hammers.

    This was a tough one!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well done to jan c (real / fake / yet to come) for succeeding. I'm not finding it easy at all its ridiculously difficult and to be honest I'm still recovering from 875. Helpful tips are welcome please, like the ones we used to have on this site before the Jan c hating ensue. Off to try again for the umpteenth time.... Here's hoping I get that lucky board

    ReplyDelete
  43. Victory is mine... After an excessive amount of tries twas a merry fortunate.blend of two colour bombs and a series of colour bombs with stripes and using up all the hammers for the bottom row. I would suggest saving up as many hammers as possible from the daily spin to have at the ready for one game (if you can stop yourself from trying to play until you've saved them) good luck everyone

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks May 5 anonymous poster for some actual tips instead of useless commentary. Would love to have some lollipop hammers for this level, but they are one of the daily spin options that never hit the mark for me! If only I could use coconut wheels on this level - I think I have 25 or so! Might try one of my chocolate bombs but not ready to use a precious booster just yet.

  50. First try - two lollipop hammers used - 3 stars.

I have found that the first try on any level seems "easier" - so when I got down to two jellies, I used the free bonus hammers.

  51. This one was deceiving, looked so easy. Tried many times without using boosters without any luck. Finally gave in and used a sprinkle bomb and fish on the same try and passed the Level. Booster gave me Fish 3 different times. Wahoo...Thresa

  52. Tough level. Not liking it! Will come back when I have helpful advice. None yet.....

    ReplyDelete
  53. I caved and used a fish booster and a color bomb. I was ready to move on! Thank goodness for boosters!

    ReplyDelete
  54. My only tip for this awful level is to make lots of wraps on the left and right sides at the bottom to get the corners. Afraid like others after about 60 tries I caved and used the lollipop several times. So glad to see the back of this one.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Use sprinkle and stripe to wipe out bottom chocolates. Use wraps--more effective than stripes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Stuck on this level 877 for several days and on Dreamworld level 237 for over a year (quit playing it and only go back every once in awhile hoping King will take sympathy on me and give me a lucky board or just take sympathy on me and let me pass). Know I will get both eventually because have3 been a loyal player for a long time. Just would like to get on with it now as am bored with both these levels.

    ReplyDelete
  57. This is very very difficult. It looks easy. To get the bottom is quite hard. But I said that about 875 also

    ReplyDelete
  58. I got through this after two tries and reading all the helpful comments (first). King has now decided to label the levels hard for us - like we couldn't tell lol - but it does send me here to check things out before playing. I decided to use boosters first, and second, times through. I used all three. The first time I backed out until my sprinkle ball and stripe were adjacent to one another. The second I decided to try the stripe/wrap combo. That cleared a lot of the chocolate and helped loosen up the popcorn. Also lucky because when the popcorn opened I had a striped candy underneath ready to use.

So here's my thought's about boosters - those of us playing now (in summer and fall of '15) have the added advantage of collecting the 'sweet treats' that King has provided (at least on mobiles, I don't play on a PC or tablet so I can't speak to that). But I know have a lot more boosters available than I did in my early years of CC. And we also get the occasional gold bars. Between these and the 'special' challenges - like collect 10,000 candies of one color ( go back and play level 666 for whatever color you need), I usually have plenty of spare boosters to use and am not nearly as frugal with them as I used to be. And re the daily spin: again on my iPhone I find that if I stop the wheel the very first time it gets to the lollipop or hand switch (my favorite boosters), I can get that one probably 8 times out of 10. Hope this helps somebody.

Thanks to all of you for your tips.

I rarely post, just so excited NB to finally pass 877 after countless tries. Used sprinkle/color bomb booster plus fish booster. Both earned from playing. And took suggestion from one of you posters. Thank you!

  60. I was stuck on this level for two days. Almost had it on the first try... has two square left. If I had known what a hard level this was, I would have used two of my lollipops, but I try to save my daily spin rewards. Decided I couldn't take another couple of days on this level especially since I haven't come close to completing it since. Decided to use the fish booster and cleared the board. Good luck and thanks for the tips. They've helped me many times.
