Candy Crush Saga Level 1170

Hints and tips for level 1170 Candy Crush Saga
You will need to grow both popcorns to complete level 1170. It is not easy to hit them with striped candies, but stripe/wrap combos will do the job as they don't have to be exactly in line to hit them.
Wraps on their own will work well too and since there are only five colours on the board it's quite easy to make special candies.
A colour bomb/stripe combo may also be used, but there is never any guarantee that any of the stripes will go where you want them, but worth a try.

If anyone has any tips for this level, please help. I've played this level so many times and usually will quit with half my lives left because I know it is futile. This is absolutely the most frustrating level I think I've played so far. Clearing the jelly is easy, getting the two (whatever they're called) is impossible. Thank you for any help.

Very hard to align the stripes correctly. Tried a Fish Booster ~ no help. The game gave 2 Fish but no effect on the Popcorn. Still plugging away. Thresa

Managed to get 2 Wraps nestled against the top Popcorn and it took out both Popcorns.....After that the rest was easy. Glad to see this Level completed.

This is a tough level. I found that it was easier to get the lower popcorn because you can make specials on top that drop down to the bottom. Careful planning is necessary, but if you're this far, you know that :) Once that top popcorn changes to a sprinkle bomb, the field opens up a bit and it's easier to make specials for the top - even vertical stripes or use the sprinkle to eliminate a color.

Used the stripe/wrap booster at the beginning. Used the hammer any time I had a stripe lined up with the popcorn. Made this doable!

This level is UNBEARABLE.

This is the one that makes me say Buh Bye - enough. Terrible level. TERRIBLE!

I started by using my 2 boosters:stripe/wrapped & sprinkle. Then used 2 hand switches. I was determined to get past this almost impossible level. NC

I have gotten to 1 jelly two times!! Fish is of no use and can actually mess up a carefully planned move. I did use sprinkle booster with stripe/ wrap but still couldn't get that last popcorn!
I agree with the strategy to make a wrap or horizontal stipe up top and if you can't use it there next to popcorn bring it down to align with lower corn. Hand switches were very valuable in getting to I jelly but still not done- very frustrating!

Second go with the sprinkle and stripe/ wrap combo where I rest the board till a wrap could be set off under one popcorn and two hand switches to hit popcorn left and done!!

I rarely use hand switching, but after two days of failing to pass this level I used these boosters and passed first time. Switching a vertical to shoot up the middle was particularly destructive.

Horrible level!! No fun and really undoable.....
Time to quit, bye bye CC !
Good luck everybody!!

Used 2 boosters stripe/wrap & sprinkle, first try no-go, 2nd try with a hand swap to move a stripe to get the popcorn did it. Yes I've noticed too that candy drops have changed. Guess we were getting too many FREE bonuses!!! What a crock, they give us a chance to win these bonuses, then take away the opportunities to win them.

No boosters..wraps wraps wraps!! Difficult level that took perserverence. ..20 tries later done but realised wraps were the only way. Gl

I have enjoyed this game and sadly spent a good amount of cash on it over the last few years, but I am finally done. The levels are getting very repetitive but more diffucult, almost impossible and absolutely no fun.l I figure I have 1169 levells to play if I feel like it so I have removed my goals to finish all new levels. Sad day for you King because you just lost a lot of cash.

Finally got this after many tries. Was able to explode a wrap by the top popcorn and once it was gone, managed to make 2 stripes above the lower popcorn. 2 stripes aimed at the bottom popcorn did the trick. So glad to be passed this. Very difficult to get combos in the right place. Good luck everyone!

Can not believe some people quit this game after coming this far. You have to be kidding....right? You let it beat you!!!!! What fools you've been. Lol. It's a game, you all need to remember IT'S A GAME. Do you really think the makers are going to care if you quit? I've been quite on this subject till now,I've read all the tips and hints for levels I find difficult. You fellow players leaving cause the level is driving you crazy.....Bye bye. Nobody cares to be honest. The rest of us enjoy the challenge, onto the next level for the true players.....LB. Australia (land of the never quit players)

Focus on the lower section whenever possible. The cascade effect will facilitate the creation of more special candies on either level. If you make a stripe on top that is too low to shoot at the popcorn, bring it down to the lower section. Once a popcorn is popped on either section, you have more room to make and aim special candies. On either section, make stripes whenever possible, regardless of their direction, in the event you can match with a wrap.

For the record, I was stuck for 2 months on a level that was back in the 700's. Hang in there.

I'm not ready to quit either, but this is one tough level...

Anonymous said...

Ha! It is doable...with some patience and boosters..

Anonymous said...

anyone else have 5 candies in their game? makes it extremely difficult to form special candies in such a small area

Anonymous said...

oops meant to say 6 in my above comment!

Anonymous said...

This is the worst! I really don't want to quit, but I don't want to be on this level forever either. Hope to get a good board soon, or I am out of here.

I have six colours on the iPad not five ... Is this level only doable on the PC?

Brian said...

This was not as bad as some of the comments suggest. No bombs, chocolate or licorice. Followed Marcia's tips and got it after about 12 tries with no boosters.

Tough level!!! No tips to offer yet.... I'm still STUCK!

Anonymous said...

I'm hoping to discover some super power move that will cause the popcorn to explode that no one has discovered yet! In the meantime.... I just keep losing this one! :(

Anonymous said...

I finally got this one!!!! This was SOOOOO hard! And I really don't have any advice that you don't already know. It was VERY difficult to get things lined up to pop the popcorn. Hang in there! You'll get it eventually.

Anonymous said...

Give me some action here! If I get vertical stripes, they don't line up to use on popcorn, horizontal ones don't fall in the right places and no match to use them. Yet another lame level. Thanks cc.

Bite me!!! Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Goodness I'm so close to quitting now. I'm just using up all my stash. Use every booster you can lay your hands on because this is really horrible. When all my boosters are gone I'm finally quitting

Just passed this around my 6th try. I started with a choco ball. I got it on top of bottom popcorn. I used 2 switches to get a stripe next to it. That set off the top popcorn. Then another switch somewhere and finished from there. Btw, I've only spent $2 on this journey to this level, so just hang in there.

Anonymous said...

Wow.... Just making moves and going no where.. Not fun. At this level you would think that you would know how to make the combos needed.. Not happening for me.. Done for awhile. Best of luck to those who hang

LB Australia above said what I have thought many times. It's a game and it is challenging, just plug away and figure the game out, come here for great tips and morale support and beat the sucker!

Anon lafy said...

Yes, a particularly challenging level. After many tries, I managed to get the top popcorn 'popped' and the bottom one hit but was stuck. Then a sideways green stripe landed right next to it. I had no chance of matching it, so I tried hitting it with a lollipop and bingo! It popped the popcorn. Now there's a useful tip for someone, I hope.

The rest was just mopping up the remaining jellies.

First attempt managed to get the bottom popcorn fairly easily then top popcorn.

I agree with the Anonymous above about the people who come on here and keep saying that they're quitting. King doesn't care, I don't care, no one cares if you quit. This is meant to be a blog for hints and tips. And it's a GAME!

Another crap frustrating level. . Can't get combos to fall in right place. Tired playing it

Anonymous said...

I have been working on this stupid level for almost a week. Read this blog, went back and got it on the second life without any boosters. ???

Georgia said...

I'm not saying this to brag but to encourage. Got this on the third try after reading the comments. This blog has been extremely helpful. I used the tip about the hands, watched how the candy fell from the top and finished with one hammer. BTW, I'm nearly 80 and CC is my favorite game. Hang in there!

C/candycrush here.
Hard level, frustrating. Takes a couple of days effort.

Tried fish booster twice, plus wrap/stripe plus colour ball once. All useless as you get one and that's it. Don't bother.
-----------

You'll need colour ball/stripe combo twice to get it. Double wraps are great too.

I just wanted to say that this is a great blog. I have found the blog and comments so helpful getting through the hard levels on CC. I also think it's a shame to quit now! There's been worse levels than this. Also, you don't gave to spend lots of money, although it's cool if you want to, I've got this far without paying for any boosters, just using the ones I got for free.

thanks everyone for the tips and hopefully will get through soon :-)))

Here i go again, having to type a disparaging note asking why? Looking for how's..... I see it's just another chance at a lucky board. *UGH*

Anonymous said...

Another nasty one, very few side stripes or wrapped being able to be made. This makes it almost impossible from the start. Yet another one that will require a good board that allows moves to be made to be able to complete it. At the mercy of the CC gods once again!!!
:(

Anonymous said...

Thank you LG Australia. I've been wanting to post the same thought for months. I've been wanting to quit whenever I have difficulties with a levels that require a lucky board. After getting this far I can't quit. Still trying to get through this level.

Came on here again read the comments and second go passed with 13 moves left and no boosters ( always seems to work after reading the blog)

Well unlike lucky Mike - just above - I wasn't able to pass this using no boosters after coming here. I did give it a shot though, because sometimes it works for me too :) Then I gave up and used the advice from the poster who used 2 hand switches. I also started the game with a sprinkle ball and a stripe/wrap booster (lots of boosters, I know!, but those of us who have been playing throughout this holiday season should have a ton of them as King has given them away the chance to get them - treasure hunts, treasure chests, mini games, etc. - every day from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. So thanks to King my booster stock is up there.) Playing on my phone so I backed out until the wrapped candy was near a popcorn and the sprinkle ball and stripe were pretty close together. I was able to pop the bottom popcorn with the first few moves and get a start on the top. It still took careful playing and watching both the top and bottom boxes to get the top popcorn to explode but once that was done a few moves finished the game.

I am not a purist obviously. I like playing but I don't want to spend a week - or a month!! - on a single level if I can avoid it. Not that I haven't spent several days occasionally stuck but with the help and advice from the good people of this blog I am usually able to get through with just a reasonable level of frustration. And if several of the bloggers advise using boosters, and if I have them to use, I do what it takes to put the nasty ones behind me and move one. So a big thanks once more to those who have gone before and good luck!

I used a wrap/stripe booster. My plan was to use the advice previously given to keep resetting the board until they were beside each other against one of the popcorns. However, after one reshuffle, I saw I could make a sprinkle on the first move. So even though my wrap and stripe were close but not side by side I decided to play. I guess I got lucky in that a stripe formed over the bottom popcorn twice during play. When activated both popcorns were hit. Once they burst, I knew, even if I had to purchase more moves, I was going to clear this level. Fortunately it was really easy to rid the board of the few remaining jellies. Don't give up!

Anonymous said...

I found this level easy - got it first try. At least it gives many moves to start.

Very difficult without boosters which disappeared from me. Guess I'll need a lucky board.

Anonymous said...

I've never really considered giving up before but this level has made me think seriously, I can't seem to get anywhere near the popcorn!
Makes me wonder how I got this far! Have tried using all three boosters together and no boosters but nothing seems to help!

Horrid level! Dumber than a box of rocks!

After reading some of the comments on here I decided to try using boosters. The first time I made a mess of them lol. I played a few more games then thought I'd try again so I used the three of my boosters. I did what one blogger did and thats to reset until the wrapper was by the popcorn. It took quite a few tries as invariably one would be there but the other boosters would be in the same square, so that was no good as it would set them all off. So I continued to reset until the wrapper was next to the popcorn, which was at the top and the sparkle and stripe along with the fish were in the bottom right square. The sparkle was next to the stripe. So I set off the wrapper first as soon as it matched three, this exploded twice on the popcorn. Then I set off the sparkle with the stripe, which I made sure first beforehand there were a lot of the same colour. When I set this off it cleared nearly all the jelly, and the fish did its bit. After that I played and got lucky with making two horizontal stripes to hit the popcorns in turn. I finished with 25 moves left.

It took three of my boosters and luck with the stripes that did it for me. I also played slowly and carefully.

Good luck everyone

Why do people hoard boosters and not use them??? I'd have completed this level 10 times over if I had any of the damn things left!

Silverdollarbill said...

Got it on third try. Looked @ this blog, then started with all 3 boosters, & keep using free switches to match up stripped & wrapped candies, combining those did the trick!

I had to use one hand switch and one lollipop hammer but got it on first try.
