Candy Crush Saga Level 1189

Hints and tips for level 1189 Candy Crush Saga
You need to collect 10 wrapped candies, 10 striped candies and 150 yellow candies.
The yellows are the hardest to collect as there are so many, the only way to collect enough is to make as many combos as you can. Making combos will help in two ways, that will collect the stripes and wraps you need as well as bringing down the yellow candies. The more candies you remove, of any colour, the more yellows will fall giving you the orders.
You will get a lot of the special candies you need from the lucky candies locked in the center of the board, although luck is needed so you don't just get yellow candies.

The hints above say it all - this level is all about luck! I am still waiting for my luck to change......................

This is a very, very hard level again. Don't use a colour bomb to remove the yellow candies, because they won't come back for a couple of moves. And if they come back, they come one by one. Remove other colours and focus on combo's. Still waiting for my 'lucky' board!

Good luck from the Netherlands!

Amazingly, a lucky board came after a day of trying! I did it with 17 moves to spare! Never got closer than 41 yellows remaining before and wasted a lot of my hard won candy drops too!.....................

Got it with extra moves

Very difficult level. My one suggestion would be to reset until you can make a wrap on your first move. This took many resets each try, but these were the only games where I even came close until that final, lucky board.
Good luck.

Got it second try. First time, I got rid of all the chocolate, but still needed 34 yellows. Second try, it kept coming so I was chasing it as well as making combos. I did match a colour bomb with a yellow and had no problem having yellows appear right away. Needed 3 yellows on my last turn and luckily there were 3 waiting to be matched as I couldn't get the colour bomb beside one. Good luck all. Next one looks horrid, as I hate bombs more than chocolate!

This seems like a level I could pass with a lucky board. Only problem is the game is still freezing up on me. Driving me nuts when I get so close.

Man I am tired of this board, I keep getting close but no cigar. I'll keep trying, I made it this far. sighhhh!!!!!

Used all 3 boosters, 3rd try was the charm. Tried dozens of times before that never got close

I used a special candy from my stash and made sure I could make a match with the first one. It took about 8 tries (getting as low as only 11 needed) when I finally was able to finish with a wrap/ stripe combo I made at the end which required a hand switch!!LOL
What a wicked level!!

After struggling for ever over this level I came on here looking for tips. Took on board not to match a sprinkle with a yellow to produce more yellows and yippee it worked, completed on 2nd try with 8 moves left. Thanks, Liz

Really hard level. Waiting for lucky board.

I used a chocolate bomb and reset the board until it was beside a red candy. Switching them unlocked all the reds. Working from the top I was able to create four or five wraps out of the yellows, sometimes even more when the reds turned into wraps. Still took me about six or seven tries. The wraps weren't a problem, but I never had enough yellows. Eventually used a switch hand to collect the last three ones with my last move.
Good luck - Gabi

surprised there weren't more comments on this level - it was awful - I was on it for DAYS! finally got a good board where the chocolate was cleared in the first few moves - the popcorns cleared simultaneously which gave me a chocolate ball combo. look to make any specials before you combine the two chocolates. after that, remember you're not on easy street yet - pay close attention to making wraps - the stripes will come easily. Making the wraps and specials will help get enough yellow.

I seriously don't know how many more times I can this mind numbing level. Sick of it!!!

That levek sucked more than I can say....thanks to cc for making me use coibs for lives just to complete this...argggg

I got through this by using a hammer at the start to free one of the red specials. This allowed me to pull some of the yellows together to make a wrap, which I set off down by one of the chocolate corners. This gave me a flying start. I did need to use another hammer near the end to get the last few yellows.

1189 is a HORROR! An absolutely horrible level.

I did not think Candy Crush could get even MORE boring but then I got to this level...no skill - just luck. I need to find a better game!

this level is hard, annoying, but kind of interesting and entertaining atleast. I do not look forward to the next level. Because it has LOW COUNT bombs and that is worse than popcorn and chocolate put together. I will be happy to have this stupid episode ever. The next episode had better be a lot better than this!

Too much of this level is based on luck, you would think they would make the higher levels based on skill

After finally passing 1191, I thought the worst was over. I was wrong. This one is unbearable as well, and I am beginning to dread playing candy crush altogether. What a shame, because I really used to enjoy it... These are horrid levels with no fun whatsoever.

What is the deal with this episode?? Almost every level has sucked.

Another brutal level. Used a color bomb and a check. I closed out game until I could color bomb the reds. The check booster helped get all the wraps I needed. I used one hammer to get rid of final f'n chocolate. I had to use these boosters about 8x until I finally won. Also sometimes used color bombs w yellow. Don't see any down side to doing that. Yellows flow freely right away. Finally DONE!!

Not sure how to pass this one.. Get all the stripes and wraps needed but never enough yellow.. Break time from cc..

Well, I've been following this blog forever. I'm going to jump right in. Everyone has been such a big help. Thank you. This level was fun for me. It took 10 tries. Looking forward to reading your comments.

A really frustrating level., especially as I succeeded once after 'buying' 5 extra moves - but my screen froze. GRRRR!!!!!

It has taken many tries (with tick boosters) but I just did it - I was lucky. No particular strategy or tips except to say you will get it eventually. Don't give up.

Just thought I completed this ridiculous level to find "Oops, there has been an error." What else can you do, but press OK. Pure luck required for this level and just when I got mine, it left. Not sure if I even care to continue. Maybe I'll just go back and play some of the lower levels for a few days to cool off! Good luck all.

Getting the wrapped candy is the key these clear the chocolate and open up the level. Then just look for combinations the yellow candy will form.

Newme07 said...

Exactly!!

Horrible level. When all the chocolate is cleared no yellows will appear. Can't even get close

Hi all.

Got this one on my 2nd attempt with 13 moves left.

Good luck all.

My only tip is forget about the orders to collect because you'll get them anyway, I just concentrated on clearing the chocolate and any chocolate sprinkle bombs I got I matched with any other colour than yellow and somehow I completed it.

A hard level, took me several days. Usually I could only get one or two of the orders at most & it was usually the yellows I was a long way off collecting.

You'll know when the fates hand you a possible board. It will be when you clear most of the board, including the chocolate, & get down to about 70 yellows left before turn 40. I got that by having 2 colour balls fall next to each other-twice. Not my doing-luck.

Don't think you've got it in the bag though-you still have those wraps to get.

My advice. Go slow, look for wraps & stripes every move. If you get down to about 4 wraps needed by say, 15 moves left, start looking for where you could make a wrap 'if only'. If you can see a couple where the missing piece is only one spot away, use a red hand to switch.
I did this 3 times to bag my wraps & the last of the yellows and it was well worth it.

Does anyone else feel like they're in the Hunger Games, where someone is watching your moves, and when you get close, they throw you another curve? Several times in this episode, when I've won, the screen freezes, and I don't get credit for the win - and I've used up a boat load of boosters. "Hard" means out of your control. Grrrr pretty much says it all.

Anonymous said...

Another of those levels where the lucky board is needed or you are never going to get it. some of the previous levels have been fun but we are back to the boring old stuff where you try & shift candy around until you get a lucky break. Boring CC!!!

Anonymous said...

Gosh that was a VERY lucky board in the video....fancy getting all those wrapped candy from a reshuffle...goes to prove how much luck is involved in passing some of these levels!

Anonymous said...

As usual - the advice of "just keep making combos" just doesn't cut it on these 6 color levels. Your odds of making combos is WAY too small!

Anonymous said...

Wow - even using a sprinkle bomb AND a check mark AND the paint brush charm wasn't enough!. That's including getting rid of all the chocolate and all the popcorn but one within two moves! There is just too much luck needed to get the yellows.

Come on King. I've been on this for over a week, lost over 300 lives and can't even get close. Where are all the yellows?? I know this is like every other level and takes a lucky board, but can you change the percentages of lucky boards so we have at least a 1 in 100 chance of getting one instead of 1 in about 6 or 700?

Anonymous said...

What a cheating level this is! The wraps just aren't counted. On numerous occasions I've swiped two or even three together and they are not coming off the total. King need to get their act together big time.

I just knew I shouldn't have bothered! I had a good board and thought this is it, I've got a lucky board. I was right down to about 39 moves and was working out how many yellow candies I needed per go. I was getting them ok and then not many more came along. I was right down to about 12 I think and ran out of moves. As I had 14 gold bars I decided 5 extra moves should surely do the trick. So I used 9 gold bars. I only managed to get 3 yellows and unfortunately I was left with 9 to more to go. I won't do that trick again. 😟 It just goes to show that using 9 gold bars just for a mere 5 extra moves does not always finish the job.

Oh well off I go again.

GC said...

OH my word! I finally got it. But I had to use a handswitch to move 3 yellows together and I was prepared to use 3 hammers on the last 3 but there were another 3 waiting to be matched. I was left with 1 move. I hated this level. It certainly didn't do my heart rate any good lol. I'm so glad to be over this one.

Good luck everyone.

Gosh this level is difficult. I'm finding it hard to beat the chocolate and its really annoying. Sometimes it feels like the chocolates spread at super fast rate! I'm getting bored with it too.

Anonymous said...

haven't been able to end a game with needing less than 60 yellows, not sure how to get them if they won't come down. still waiting for that lucky board.

Unknown said...

I didn't want to wait for a lucky board so I used a chocolate bomb plus stripe/wrap and reset until the chocolate and the wrap were together. This blew up the whole board and the little chocolate that was left was under licorice so I left them alone. Getting the remaining stripe and yellow was easy as I had so many moves left.

Anonymous said...

I just cannot wait to finish this section, it's been a nightmare from beginning to end. Lowest yellow amount needed so far is in the 40's. So fed up with it.

Anonymous said...

Been on this board for days. Took all my boosters and a lot of cunning to get rid of the lemons. It gets soooooo boring when people are doing their best but get foiled by King.
