Candy Crush Saga Level 1240

Hints and tips for level 1240 Candy Crush Saga
To get the ingredients collected in level 1240 you will have to clear a way through the cream blockers at the bottom of the board, then get them through the licorice on the left.
Use stripes and stripe/wrap combos to clear both cream and licorice.
Once you begin to get candies in the left side you can begin making matches there to clear the licorice and move the ingredients down to the exits.
The second ingredient will drop when you have cleared the first one from the board or on move 14, whichever comes sooner.

This is a fun one. First try. JS

Fairly easy level. Passed second attempt, because absolutely nothing matched on the left side on my first try, even when the candies were falling into the licorice.

Coconut wheel. Didn't check for tips on my first attempt; just winged it. Learned quickly that the licorice blocked any movement on the left side. Second attempt, still without checking this site, I used free coconut wheel and aced it! Whee!!

Finally a board that requires some skill and planning. Got it on third try.

I didn't get a single candy over to the licorice side on my first go, but it all happened on the 2nd when I took the good advice from Carmen and used a coconut wheel. No problems then. Thanks, Carmen.

How come everyone seems to have so many boosters I don't have any coconut wheels and can't do this level at all. Do you all buy boosters or are you saving what you get when you spin the wheel?

You accumulate boosters from the sugar drop challenge !

Third attempt need a bit of luck with combinations to break through the bricks. Wrapped wrapped candy very useful in clearing the liquorice.

Like others passed on my first attempt. Just kept the cascade going and making lots of wraps and stripes. However we all know at this level of the game the "yyeeessssss!!" moment of getting Sugar Crush is shortlived when you look at the next level lol :-)

Wheel spins, sugar drops and the chests give you the boosters for free. So far I have spent a single penny/dime on this game.

Toward the end I was able to make two sprinkles & got them within one candy of each other. I used a hand switch to bring them side by side & switched them. This cleared all the licorice & both fruits dropped from the right side & completely through the left side. Done!

Focus on breaching the wall first. If you take out licorice before they can be replaced by candies, the licorice dispensers will drop one new licorice every move. Drip, drip, drip. Very annoying. Once the wall has been breached, you need to kill the licorice. Blasting away with h-stripes will get you nowhere as the dead licorice is immediately replaced by a new one. Even a stripe-wrap combo is practically useless. It hits only three licorice, and one of those will be replaced. What you need is a mass extinction. Two c-bombs or a c-bomb stripe combo helps. Or you can take out the candies below the licorice and then attack the licorice from above with wraps.
Despite what Ms. Cookie writes, the ingredients are released on moves 30 and 14, not before. If you're running ahead of schedule breaching the wall and clearing the licorice or clearing the first ingredient, you'll have to burn moves while you wait. If possible, make moves on the right so the licorice dispensers don't get a chance. Who knows? One stupid licorice can make the difference between success and failure.

Won 2nd try by skilfully applying coconut wheel and planning how to use the hammer. I bet the next one will accept the same strategy and plan. Off to the Sugar Cube hunt.

First try, no boosters. I got a great board that had so many cascades I was ready for the fruit way before it came and then it seemed forever for the second fruit... but it was fun.

Got it first time, 3 stars no boosters. Two wrapped together at the end on the right side caused an explosion that finished taking the fruit through the portals on the left side.

OK - what the heck was the big STAR type Pinata...whatever it was, things started blasting all over the place. When it was done I still needed one ingredient and it didn't drop until I only had five moves left. Luckily I'd followed all your advice and before the last ingredient dropped, I just kept making special candies...all over the place. Finished with two moves left and got three stars. Didn't use any boosters. Whew...and thanks again.
