Candy Crush Saga Level 1653

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1653 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 1653 can be a fun level if things go your way and a very frustrating one if they don't.
The first thing you need to do is get some popcorns grown into colour bombs as quickly as possible.
Use stripes and stripe/wrap combos if you can, and the coconut wheels will give you a couple of hits on some of the popcorns.
Although you need to collect wrapped candies to complete level 1653 they don't help much in the beginning, so make stripes instead and you will be able to collect the wraps later.
Once you have some colour bombs switch two together to hit the rest of the popcorns, don't try to use all the colour bombs individually unless you have enough moves to complete the game.
Switch the colour bombs together a couple of times to get all the popcorns and colour bombs you need, then switch a colour bomb with a wrapped candy.
The colour bomb/wrap will do one of two things... If you have the new combo which turns all the candies the same colour as the wrap into more wraps, that should give you all the wraps you need.
If you are still on the original combo, which removes two colours, you should still get enough wrapped candies from the cascades.
Below are 2 videos, the first is made with the original combo and the second is made with the new colour bomb/wrap combo so you can see how the level works with both.

Used chocolate bomb from daily spinner. Matched with stripe to get off to good start on popcorns. Once they are grown its smooth sailing

This took about a dozen tries with nothing happening. Then one wheel caused another wheel to activate, to cause the third wheel to activate, and then the fourth. Left with two choc bombs together. At that point, things started to happen and when the flying saucers took flight, the board cleared with wraps falling. Not sure what was mentioned about wraps the same color...I didn't get that.

The real Bill. First attempt get the popcorn then chocolate bombs together. The wrapped candy most difficult look for any opportunity.

Real Bill. Need to work on growing popcorn 1st. If not grown 15 move in reset. Wraps not to bad.

Finally got 2 sprinkles together, which released 2 more, one row apart. Used a hand switch to get them together, and that set off the flying saucers. Hardly had to make any more moves as the cascade set off everything, making more sprinkles and enough wraps as it progressed. That was fun to watch.

If you can, get two coco wheels together. Then it is a synch.

I was very lucky third time around especially when I still needed 19 wraps and ended up with a colour bomb next to a wrap! That wrapped it up (excuse the pun). Yes I thought it would be impossible but it ended up being fun. Grace from DU

I reached my highest ever score on CC 2,743,440 on the first try. Can't post my win on FB as it shows my continuing addiction to this game 😢

Would be nice if the next one is as much fun 😉

I played a few times and didn't get anywhere, even with a color bomb booster. Then, playing without boosters, I finally managed to get two color bombs together. I only had 7 moves left and thought I most probably I would have to try again but, wow! That move just set everything off. I still needed all of the wraps and most of the popcorn and color bombs at that point too. I ended up with 6 moves left and over a million and a half points. Thanks again Cookie!!

Great insight, I used check Mark booster first try (have a ton of them) Cleared the board with 24 moves left.

Used a hand switch to move two candy balls next to each other. Things went well after that, but I thought I might run out of moves before I could get all of the wrapped candies I needed. But then I was able to combine a wrapped candy with a candy ball which gave me my quota.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm not getting anywhere with this level!!! Can't seem to make many special candies at all.
