Candy Crush Saga Level 1656

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1656 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 1656 is classified as a hard level by King, which is unusual for the first level in an episode.
You Need to clear the cake bombs but before you do it is a good idea to take off the layer of marmalade covering the jellies in the four corners of the board.
These four jellies have to be hit 3 times to clear them, once to clear the marmalade, then twice to clear the double layer jelly. Once the first layer of jelly is cleared from those squares no more candies will fall into them, so you are left with empty squares which are much more difficult to clear as you can't get them with a colour bomb.
If you remove the honey first, the two cake bombs will clear both layers of jelly for you.
Use the coconut wheel vertically to clear some of the cake sections.
A double colour bomb combo will clear 4 sections of cake too, so is a good combo to use.
If you are struggling with this level a fish booster is a good one to use.

What a utterly boring level, half the time they give you such useless moves that you waste the game trying to line up something to hit the jelly in the four squares. Waiting on the "lucky" board when it is ready to let me beat it.

Passed on first try. Destroyed cakes early, which left four empty corner squares with one layer of jelly. Combined a chocolate sprinkle with a stripe and that cleared all but one regular square on the board.

Agree with above comment, really boring without a lucky board. In the end used the fish booster and passed first try. My tip, if you get bored waiting for the lucky board, use a fish booster.

Agree a boring level. Chocolate sprinkle and stripe didn't help me with top and bottom right.Had to use two hammers in the end to pass

The real Bill. Took a great many attempts, clear the cake but need combinations to get the four outside jellies.

I've been on this level a few days. Because it's not on Android, and I'm playing on Facebook, it is particularly difficult. And yes, boring, as I never seem to get anything close to a lucky board.

Tried the fish a few times, but I don't keep many boosters on Facebook as that is my least favorite way to play. Anyway, I'm happy to see some of you have gotten that magic "lucky" board. I'll take a few days away and try again, or wait til the level comes to Android.

1st try. Used a fishy booster to knock this one out.
Simple and straightforward. Combos easy to make as JB said.
Good luck!

Anyone have a problem with this on mobile - today with the free Chocolate sprinkle, use a Chocolate sprinkle booster and reset until they are beside each other and swap them. Then set off Coconut wheel vertically which will clear both cakes and all four corners.
After that you'll just have a few jellies left.

Managed this on the third try. Used a fish booster and a colour bomb. Somehow made another colour bomb and using a hand switch knocked the 2 together. That cleared one cake and the coconut wheel cleared the other. Didn't even notice the corners disappear. Finished with 26 moves left. In shock! Good luck everyone!

Used a fish booster didn't do anything so now waiting for the lucky board

If you use a fish, on porpoise, you can dolphinitely beat this one on the first try.
