Candy Crush Saga Level 1708

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1708 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Basically all you need to do to clear level 1708 is to clear the two cake bombs in as few moves as possible.
The first one will remove the licorice and the second will clear most of the jelly, just leaving a few squares of jelly for you to clear.
The ingredients will take care of themselves providing you don't leave the cake bombs too long so there are not enough movers left for the ingredients to get out of the exits.
A very useful booster for this level is a coconut wheel.

Really?! No comments? You have only 15 moves and there is no coconut wheel available! Ms. Cookie check the IPad board- this level stinks

I agree with anonymous above. This is the third level (that I know of) so far in this episode where IPad, Iphone don't have the coconut wheel available. I used a sprinkle plus wrapped/striped and reset till I got the sprinkle and wrap next to each other and combined. It did a lot of damage and I was able to clear the jelly but the last ingredient didn't fall down till I only had 9 moves left so I ended up having to use 2 lollipops to get it down.

Used a lollipop to break the last piece of the second cake, and a hand switch to get the last jelly. Another level that needs a lucky board.

Android the same. No option to use a Coconut wheel on any of these combination levels. I sent King an email to fix this. Also, on this level pc gets 18 moves instead of mobiles 15 moves.

Got on laptop with a coconut wheel booster. Interesting that mobile doesn't give you a choice of a coconut wheel on this type of level.. Have to remember that Ms Cookie writes her tips on the PC version which always comes out first. JS

Did this on my iPad with no boosters. Concentrated on breaking the cakes so looked for moves that would take out pieces from both cakes at the same time. Used all my moves to do this and got 1 star?

Horrible level on iPad, I cannot clear only one cake!

I did this on an iPhone so no coconut wheel. Played a many times and got close several. At least it's a quick try. If didn't break the first cake with at least 6 or 7 moves left I learned to just exit and start over. On my final try I broke the first cake and had 6 moves left and just one piece left on the second cake. Used a hammer to destroy that and then used the next three moves while the cherries were dropping out to blow up a few bombs and get some points. I didn't try using any boosters because there were so few moves in the game and I didn't want to waste them. If you are on a mobile device I'd advise resetting until you can start with three matching candies next to the bottom left side of the lower cake. That turned out to be the hardest piece for me to get to during the game. Good luck every one.

Just curious.....there have been so many complaints posted about how different the plays have differed depending on what device we play on. Has anyone ever received a explanation from King? I just don't get it!

All those bombs do my eyes in. I just find it hard to focus. Crap

I just have masses of bombs come out instead of more candies, the way Ms Cookie does. Is that because I'm on PC. My board is completely different for Gods SAKE.

I also have 15 moves and no coconut wheel but I finished the level on the second attempt. Clear the first cake and the blockers are replace with bombs. Don't worry about them and concentrate on clearing the other cake. The blast from that left me with four jellies to clear which was easy enough. Maybe I got lucky but it can be done.
