Candy Crush Saga Level 2628 Tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2628 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
First clear the chocolate from under the dispensers on the right side of the board using any combo you can make. A stripe/wrap or a colourbomb/stripe will do the job as long as they are well placed.
Once the squares below the dispensers are clear you'll get stripes and wraps dropping which you should switch together repeatedly to clear the blockers on the left side of the board and grow the popcorns at the top.
You will only get the special candies dropping from the dispensers if you make a move directly under them, no specials will drop during cascades, so you need to keep making moves under the dispensers to keep the combos coming.
A lot of the combos will self destruct but this doesn't matter as they will still be clearing blockers and the popcorns.

Clearing right side of board isn't too difficult but struggling with the left side.

Space dash was a big help since I started with two color balls together and that opened the board. If you make a match that will open at least two spaces at a time under the dispensers, then a wrap/stripe combo will drop and that's what is needed.

Many stripe/wrap combos are needed

I need luck too. Cookie makes it sound so easy.

Need a bit more than luck, it's been reducted to 35 moves now, not even managed to clear the chocolate side yet after 1 day of trying. 10 moves taken away makes it near on impossible!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrr

well after posting it was impossible with 35 moves, on my very next attempt, it gives me a starburst and stripe together on second move!!!!!! Almost finished it but with one jelly remaining on move 34, so used a hammer. Not going back there!!!! Good luck everyone.

Wrap/stripe combo in a position to clear the top three layers of chocolate. After that, just keep using the combos it drops. After about 50 games without starting with the combo I tried it and boom! First time.

Very difficult level! Lucky board needed to get rid of chocolate and all jelly in just 35 moves, smh! Insanely ridiculous!

Used fish booster to clear space under dispenser on right side and then just kept making as many striped/wrapped combos as I could-got it on the first try. Had tried this level many times with no boosters prior to this.

I used all 3 boosters, 1 star, several attempts.

After being stuck on this level without using boosters, I had to give in. The key is to eliminate the chocolate first and I found that you will need a lot of stripe/wrap combos, which will start dropping down in pairs on the right once the chocolate is cleared. You can then use those combos to take care of the left side. Focus on trying to clear the blockers at the top because once cleared, pairs of stripe/wrapped candies will start falling. As mentioned above, the pairs of special candies will not drop down during cascades, so focus on clearing candies underneath the dispensers so they will drop down.

I started with the CB, stripe/wrap combo and Jelly fish. Kept resetting the game (on iPad) until the CB and a striped candy were next to each other. I found that this helped with clearing the chocolate quicker. Make sure that you do have some of the same colors of the striped candy towards the top of the chocolate, because those stripe/wrapped combos (once they start dropping) are the key to getting through this level. Hope this works for you guys and good luck!

This is a frustrating level for sure. The shuffles, the amount of moves it takes to clear the chocolates, the stripes/wraps don't necessarily fall together or line up where you need them, and what is the purpose of the color bombs under the popcorns because you don't really get to switch them. Closest I got was 10 left, all on the top right side. Plan on using some of your boosters or loosing a bunch of lives.

Top left side, ooops

I am only getting 35 moves, whereas the video shows 45 moves, no wonder I am struggling

Need a lucky board.

How come I have 35 moves only?
Some videos showed they have 45 moves.

King: I see too many people passed this level. We can't have that! Let's change the moves from 45 to 35! This is the scenario we see too often and that's not right.

I have been starting with a stripe/wrap after trying with no booster starts many times (now added a fish too) reset until it will clear chocolate on the right wiping out the first three rows. However many stripe/wrap that I can get to fall on the right to clear the stripe/wrap to fall on the left. No matter how many good combos I get, I am one or two moves short of the win and have no hammers left. They hit the blockers almost every time and still no win. what the heck? D

Well I just posted the above comment and I won the next game starting with the stripe/wrap combo and fish (don't think the fish helped) and I won with 12 moves left...go figure! Good luck all..D

Decided to keep trying still no luck cc please send me a lucky board

What happened to the chocolate booster? I had one left when they changed the layout of the game to make it look like an app on Facebook. They got rid of my chocolate booster! :(

Does resetting the game make you lose lives and boosters? If not, how do you reset?

Sami said...

As long as you don't make a move initially you can quit the game then start again. This doesn't lose a life or lose any boosters. You just need to quit, thats how you reset.

Why reduced to 35 moves? Impossible without boosters or the luck of a lottery winner :-(

I figured it out! Line up the stripe/wrap boosters to hit the chocolate under the right hand booster drop portals ASAP.This will give you another stripe wrap combo when you Clear a drop area for it. Try to have the boosters drop just out, not all the way down so that when you combine them they hit the booster drop portals on the left. Once the combos start dropping on the left use only these ones to Clear the top popcorns on the left. Fun once you figure it out!

Jez, I love you!!! Great tip, though it can take a lot of resets to get the stripe/wrap in the right place. Passed first time using your method. Thanks!
