How to beat timed levels in Candy Crush Saga

Do you struggle with Candy Crush Saga timed levels? Timed levels are a part of the Candy Crush game that a lot of people struggle with.. Me included!
But if you follow a few simple guidelines you'll pass timed levels in Candy Crush Saga without too much stress!

  1.   LOOK.... Before you start to play take a few seconds to look around the board and see if there are any chances for stripes or wraps, or maybe even a colour bomb! Those few seconds at the start will pay off.
  2.  THINK...  Don't just blindly switch anything you see! Try to work at the bottom if you can so you can take advantage of any cascades caused by your moves.
  3.  PLAN....While you're making one move be planning your next, keep looking all the time, don't wait for the candies to stop moving before you look for another move. Try to anticipate where the candies will land and be ready as soon as they stop.
  4.  +5 Candies....Candies which fall down with a number in them give you extra time so should be matched if possible! Don't miss them, they could mean the difference between winning and losing. (see image) Extra time candies will only fall if you get cascades by matching combos or colour bombs, if you only make matches of 3 they will only fall every few moves and it won't be enough to keep the game moving.
  5.  RELAX....Before you start take a deep breath and relax! The worst thing you can do on timed levels is to panic. Just play as if it's a normal game but just a little faster!

TOP TIP. If there are bombs on the timed level watch your points, once you have enough points for a star and the bombs are getting close to zero, just stop playing and let the time run out!
If there are countdown bombs on the timed level they will give you very high points if you destroy them. Hitting a colour that has bombs with a colourbomb will give huge points, often enough to pass the level with one move.
TOP TIP. One of the members of our group has suggested reducing the size of your screen on PC to 75%. This makes it easier to see the moves and faster to make the moves. Try it and see if it works for you.
