To Unknown, since you are playing on Android, better play the Chocolate Box instead of collecting sugar drops. Now it’s limited to 5 sugar drops per level. The Chocolate Box is a new feature of Candy Crush Saga added in late December 2019. It is on Android and on Windows 10 on PC. I don’t think it is on IOS yet because it does not show on our iPads.
All the player has to do is to complete a task (among 4 tasks) from each color (red, yellow, blue, and green) from the Chocolate Box to win some boosters (a set of hammer (lollipop) color bomb, and stripe/wrap booster. You don’t collect gold bars, hands, or any other boosters other than the 3 boosters I mentioned before. I completed the last three episodes (levels 6141 to 6185) on mobile by practically “hammering” my way though the episodes with over 200 hammers. Now I have over 600 hammers and could have 1,000 by Wednesday. I am eagerly waiting for the new episodes (on mobile) to be able to use my arsenal of hammers. I also play sugar drops while doing the Chocolate Box to earn hands (I have only 23 right now), gold bars, and the other boosters.

det said...

I play on the PC with Win 10 but do not have the chocolate box.

det said...

Rick, how are you getting all your hammers?

Rick said...

Det, that is strange your PC does not have a Chocolate Box. My Win10 PC has a Chocolate Box but it goes only to level 6185, the same the level on mobile. I can go to level 6186 and beyond but it has a black background and I cannot see the jellies. That is why I play only on my Android tablet.
I collect my hammers by playing the Chocolate Box on my Android tablet. I have over 800 hammers, over 900 color bombs and stripe/wrap boosters now and I can hardly wait to use them on the new episodes this coming Wednesday.
I don’t play the Chocolate Box on the PC because I have to go to lower levels to complete some tasks on the Chocolate Box. It’s much faster and easier to travel the level road by swiping the tablet than rolling the mouse wheel on the PC. My Android phone has a Chocolate Box, too, but I don’t play it there either because the screen is so much smaller than my tablet.

Dexter, candy pet, chocolate box must be attached to the way I am connected to Candy Crush. I logged in as my friend (she plays on an android tablet) on my platform and all of the above options are there, so not sure what's different about my profile (I connect through facebook).

det said...

I checked on my mobile and android tablet and I get the same options as I do on Win10. The Candy Quest seems to be the same as the Chocolate Box.

Rick said...

Det, Candy Quest is quite different from Chocolate Box.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CANDY QUEST AND CHOCOLATE BOX

CANDY QUEST

Candy Quests is a of feature in Candy Crush Saga that was released for the first time on January 2019. It appears in Windows 10 and in Mobile devices.

List of quests
1. Candy Collector: Olivia needs help collecting 200 Candies for her holiday gifts!
2. Top of the Charts: Help Hilda soar by being #1 on a leaderboard!
3. A Real Lifesaver: Send 10 Lives to friends! (It's what Mr. Yeti would do.)
4. Booster Explorer: Help Captain Sweet Tooth pillage Candies by using Boosters!
5. A Troll's Quest: Can you handle whatever the Bubblegum Troll throws at you?

You have to choose one quest between two from the five available options and then you must complete it within eight hours. If you complete successfully the quest you'll be rewarded with three free boosters:

A lollipop hammer, a striped and wrapped, a jelly fish, two color bombs
Once you get a reward, you'll have to wait a certain lapse of time until you get a new

CHOCOLATE BOX

The Chocolate Box appeared in late December, 2019. The player can choose some of the given small tasks to complete, in order to win some boosters.

There will be a large box with 16 tasks. Each task has one of the following colors: red, yellow, blue, and green. To complete each box, the player is required to complete one task of each color.

The player must choose one of the tasks and accept it, so that it is active and can be completed. There are many task contents to choose, but only the active one can be completed in a successful game. Tasks can be completed in latest progress or past levels.

The player can switch to another task at any time, however, any progress of the previous incomplete task will be lost.

When a task of any color is completed, all other tasks of same color will disappear from the box. The player can choose any task of another color.

After completing all four colors, the player can claim rewards, and a new chocolate box will appear. Each day, each player can complete three boxes.

Possible Tasks Edit
Win 3-4 levels
Win a hard level
Win a super hard level
Win a level for the first time (with golden crown)
Collect 300-350 purple, green, blue or orange candies
Collect 110-150 red candies
Collect 5 color bombs
Collect 20-25 wrapped candies
Collect 40-45 striped candies
Collect 15 jelly fish (Fish from Bobber do not count)
Use a booster (UFO (booster), Free Switch, Lollipop Hammer and so on).

NOTE:
It looks like the Candy Quest has more rewards than the Chocolate Box (a jelly fish more and an extra color bomb) but it looks like it's harder to complete the quests. Also, once you get a reward in Candy Quest, you'll have to wait a certain lapse of time (8 hours) until you get a new candy quest. In the Chocolate Box, it says you can complete only 3 Chocolate Boxes per day. However, It appears continuously even after I played it 3 times already.

det said...

Thanks Rick. After going back and forth between the different platforms, all of a sudden I have candy pet and the chocolate box and 3 UFOs I didn't have before. No rhyme or reason to this game lol.

Rick said...

I don't have Candy Quest on My Power Ups on my tablet or the PC (yet?). Candy Pet comes out every Monday. You have to collect candies of certain color on each stage to feed Didi or Rami. When you bake, you are given one hour of color bomb. You have to wait between 15 minutes to 2 hours for each stage. On the last stage, you collect a hand, a lollipop, and a color bomb as a reward. Since I have a lot of color bombs now, I won't have to wait for Didi or Rami to give me an hour of color bomb, but I will still use it to save on my color bombs.

det said...

I played 3 colors on the chocolate box and have to wait 12 hours to continue.

Rick said...

I don't seem to gave that restriction. I just completed 3 Chocolate Boxes in succession and a fourth Chocolate Box came up, but I will play it later.

Ditte said...

Not all people have the same features. I haven't had a pet for some time. No chocolatebox or quest either. Neither on android nor windows 10. I have the space race/Dexter on windows 10, but haven't had it on android for some time. There I have the weekly race. I still have the good old unlimited and untimed sugardrops. As I understand it the test/experiment with a limit of 5 sugardrops will end sometime in February. Then we'll see if all get it or they drop the stupid idea all together. I don't think I've ever been in one of their testgroups, so usually I get the new features last or not at all, if they decide not to go with them. Some people have never had the BOT.

det said...

I've never had Dexter. The chocolate box only gives me 1 each of hammer, c/b & wrap/stripe once a day so not very beneficial. Yesterday is the 1st time I've had the candy pet in months.

Rick said...

Det, you can get more than one set of boosters upon completion of the Chocolate Box. I used to get only one set but I discovered a trick to give me more than one set after I played it about 60 or 70 times. I have over 900 hammers now (in addition to a thousand each of color bombs and stripe/wrap boosters). Do you think I would have completed the Chocolate Box over 900 times to get that? Even if I have the time, I won’t waste my time doing that for the sake of one hammer, one color bomb, and one stripe/wrap booster.
However, (sorry) I cannot divulge the trick. To quote Anonomous, he said “Rick, some people know a few "tricks" but they don't post them any more because of the King spies. As soon as we try to help each other, bam the trick no longer is allowed to happen.”

Rick said...

I agree with Ditte that not all people have the same features. (I don’t know how King is able to do that.) I don’t have Fantastic Five for more than a month now on my Android tablet but I have it on my Win10 PC and iPad. I have, however, 2 sets of Treat Calendar on my Power-Ups, that is why I get 2 sets of boosters everyday.

Anonomous said...

Done to 6297 and done for today. Not too bad... just hands and hammers for a few. Second episode is fun and easy so far. Just like last time. Gotta figure out Rick's trick:) OC

kik said...

6320 done, fun Wednesday for a change :)

Rick said...

Completed 3 episodes up to level 6230 on mobile. Like the 3 previous episodes before, I was able to complete all the 45 levels on the first try. Before, I have to tackle 3 episodes with as few as 10 hammers and 3 hands and I was very hesitant in using them. Now, I have over 900 hammers and 32 hands this time. I used a lot of hammers but I was able to complete 5 or 6 Chocolate Boxes and collected some more hammers in the process, resulting in just a net loss of 43 hammers.
The hardest level is 6204 where I used a lot of hammers. Also in level 2617, I did not notice the chocolate order right away. I was one move short to collect the order, had to spin 3 times at a cost of 14 gold bars. It’s a good thing I was able to collect 15 gold bars by completing the Episode Race 3 times.
Till next Wednesday.

Rick said...

To Anonomous, it looks like you are playing Candy Crush on Win10 on the PC. Although I haven’t tried it, I don’t know if you can do that trick on the PC. It can be done on the phone but a little harder. The most ideal device to do it is on the tablet.

For those who want to get boosters from the Chocolate Box, here are my tips for each task. I go down to very low levels to complete most tasks (see my tips below). I am so used to it that I can complete the 4 tasks from the Chocolate Box in less than 10 minutes. As I have said, it’s much harder to navigate the level road map on the PC than on a tablet or a phone (rolling the mouse wheel vs. swiping the tablet or phone.)

To collect 300-350 purple, green, blue, or orange candies, or 20-25 wrapped candies, you can play level 1476
To win 3-5 levels, I played level 1 (one) repeatedly
To win a hard level or super hard level, go to level 62
To collect 110-150 red candies, go to level 111 or 906
To collect 5 color bombs, you can go to level 202
To collect 15 jelly fish (fish from Bobber do not count), go to level 3211

det said...

Done to 6230. Nothing too difficult - just have to pay attention which I sometimes forget to do lol. Have a great week.

det said...

I meant 6320 Rick threw me off with the 6230 - mobile is 90 levels behind.

Ditte said...

I didn't think it was that easy or fun. I thought 6277 and 79 were difficult. In 82 I used a hand and a hammer to get the last jelly. 6295 really difficult to get the 2 popcorn in the top. Had to use a few hammers there. In 6296 I found it difficult to get the licorice, until I got a CB/CB to start with. In 6316 I used a hammer for the last jelly. 6318 difficult to get enough licorice. Ended up using a checkmark. 6319 also difficult, I used a hand to set up a CB/CB and finally 6320 also took a few tries. Sometimes I didn't grow enough frogs and when I did I didn't get enough blockers or chocolate. When I finally passed I started with CB/CB.

DONE UP TO 6305 WITH SOME HAMMERS AND HAND SWITCH.

Anonomous said...

Yes, Ditte.... after I had to go to work on Day 1 it got much harder on my return. I was on a roll before I had to stop. To add to the list of difficults 6306 took a lot of hammers and hand switches. Now stuck on 6310 and have to go to work..... so struggling a bit now. OC

abcd said...

6320 done with 1 ufo and 5 extra moves.

Rick said...

I have now over 1000 each of lollipop hammers, color bombs, and stripe/wrap boosters. Thanks to the Chocolate Box. Getting these boosters is like picking apples. It's like a dream before to have a hundred of them, but now I have a thousand in reality.
Looking forward to Wednesday for the new episodes. I cannot wait to use them.

What's the fun in just hammering your way through the new episodes? Not meant as a critisism as I do the same myself in Soda Saga where most of the new episodes would take forever to get through without lots and lots of hammers. But for me it has taken the fun out of it, spending more time collecting boosters (often by playing the same old levels over and over) than playing the new levels.

sleepless wherever said...

Rick needs to disclose privately for obvious reasons.

Anonomous said...

Done. 6316 used my last precious hammer to get the last key. The rest was pretty straightforward. Now out of boosters. Getting tedious to keep doing the one trick that works for me over and over again. Till next Wednesday.... Back to Best Fiends an alternative game I enjoy. Not addicted to it.... nowhere near the top levels.... but I play it sometimes. OC

Rick said...

Ditte, the time I used to collect boosters by playing old easier levels saves me time in playing new much harder levels. Since I have that many boosters, I have completed the last 90 levels on my FIRST and only try. I did not have to repeat or replay any of those levels.

Anonomous said...

To each his own. However, I have been enjoying many levels over the past two weeks where I have puzzled out the levels to win without using boosters. Bragging rights lol. Now, that is not to say that I am not one who uses the power boys when I can't pass, but it is fun to play the old way and to see if you can in fact pass with some puzzling skills:)) Also, while not intending to be judgy I am a tad envious of the Chocolate Box glitch that no one else seems to know anything about except Rich. No one in the group I go to has mentioned it and there are some pretty high powered players there. Anyways.... more power to you Rich.... I like a powerful booster or two but I'm also not playing this just to hammer through the levels. OC

Rick said...

To Anonomous, it’s disheartening to read that you have to use your last precious hammer to pass a level. If I can only give you some hammers but that’s not possible. I had the same feeling before when in one level, I need a hammer to complete it but I don’t have any left. So I have to buy from King (3 hammers for 19 gold bars).
I don’t feel guilty if I use boosters to complete levels. That’s what they are for, anyway. Besides, the new levels now are getting harder and harder. Even Cookie admits that some levels are not passable without using boosters. I won’t rack my brain to complete levels by not using boosters. King does not hand out medals to such players anyway. So, for me, it is to complete them as soon as possible, get them over with, and save time.

Ditte said...

"complete them as soon as possible, get them over with". And that's exactly why (to me) it stopped being fun. It's become something to get over with as quickly as possible. The fun part should be playing the new levels, not spending time playing old levels to "save time" on passing the new. Shouldn't/wouldn't it be more fun spending the week playing new levels instead of playing the same old levels so the new levels can be gotten over with quickly?

det said...

I agree with Ditte. No point in playing if it isn't a challenge. A little frustration is worth the woohoo feeling of getting through a difficult level after it seems like it's an impossible task.

det said...

I'll admit I've bought the pig on occasion after being on a level for more than a day. It's not worth buying anymore as they have reduced it from 60 to 30 gold bars. So will rely on boosters collected from the sugar drops.

Ditte said...

Back when I started playing we didn't have sugardrops, space dash, BOT, space race, daily spin etc. We did get the occasional booster, but I think it was less than one a day maybe only one a week if that? I don't remember having more than a couple of boosters and I hardly ever used them, because they were so rare/hard to get. Much more fun back then, when it was all about playing new levels rather than collecting boosters to be able to pass the new levels. Not having to scroll back to build the BOT or going in and out of airplane mode to keep it. Only "trick" I used back then was changing the time on my phone to get lives.

det said...

It was a much better game in the "Good Old Days". I hated the timed levels though - don't miss them at all.

Mermaid Crush said...

Dear Everyone, I'm stuck at home after having had a minor surgery and now STUCK on 6142 with no boosters, gold bars or any hope of passing without some luck. Thus, I'm posting for luck. Please please *PLEASE* lucky board, come my way! Thank you!!!

det said...

Mermaid Crush, just tried 6142 and got through easily with no boosters. Try to make a cb/wrap or wrap/wrap as often as possible. Good luck.

Rick said...

I do have fun playing old levels to complete the Chocolate Box. I have the most fun in collecting the prizes when I can get as much as 15 hammers (+cb and s/w). I get sometimes 10 or 11 and most of the time 7 or 8 in about 10 minutes of work. Compare that to about an hour work of completing the sugar drops (180) when you get only 2 or 3 hammers (now it takes longer because of 5 drops limit per level). In fact, I’m having so much fun that I play 3 or 4 boxes in one sitting.
As for new levels, I am having fun hammering away spawners, slices of cake bombs , or growing popcorns. It is still a challenge because I have to complete the levels. They only get easier to complete and it saves me time. Having fun is not the same for everybody. Doing some things might be fun to someone but not to others and vice versa.

Ralph said...

FWIW, my approach towards revealing Candy Crush tricks is summed up by Sir Francis Bacon (and Sir Humphrey Appleby):

"He that would keep a secret must keep it secret that he hath a secret to keep"

King fixes tricks fairly quickly when they become aware of them. Even if the exact sequence is unknown, they'll eventually figure out if they know what areas to look in.

Discovering a new trick is indeed fun. It's like solving a puzzle. Taking advantage of that trick during normal play isn't nearly as much fun.

If I can end the week with more boosters legitimately won than used, the Candy Crush week has been a success. A monumental waste of time but a success nonetheless. :)

det said...

How do you get the last fruit in 6326? Cherry and nut stay in the left bottom corner.

Ditte said...

6335 done. Some took several tries but nothing too bad. Used a fish for 6328 and a hand and coconutwheel for 6329. 6334 difficult until I got a cb/cb start so I could get the key quickly.

Ditte said...

I also struggled to find out how to get the last fruit in 6326, but kept trying to hit it with wrap/stripe and suddenly I got it, but don't know how....

det said...

Thanks Ditte. I'll just keep trying.

det said...

Ditte, same as you, I don't know how the last fruit finally went down, but I'm done 6326.

Ditte said...

Yikes 6337 is nasty. Closest I've gotten with a checkmark booster is 9 licorice short. Might have to wait for it to be changed. Only one video and he as usual just blasts his way through with UFOs and partyboosters.

det said...

You're right Ditte. Not enough licorice on 6337.

Ditte said...

6350 done. I got down to 8 licorice on 6337 and used some of my goldbars from the sugardrops to buy extra moves-twice :-( 6342 also difficult, licorice keep falling over the jelly so used a UFO and 2 hammers. 6348 also difficult. The rest pretty easy, some very easy.

cj said...

The key to 6326 is when to blast the bottom left corner so the cherry doesn't drop there. If you hit it right the 2 nuts fall in and the cherry stays on top. Don't waste a check mark or a switch. They don't work! cj

Rick said...

Completed again all the 45 levels on my first try.

Ditte said...

6365 done. I recommend a checkmark for 6351 because the licorice is buried under lots of layers. In 6363 I used a fish, a UFO and a hammer. All in all not a bad week apart from 6337 which is impossible without extra moves and/or UFOs/partyboosters.

det said...

Struggled with a few levels, but completed 6365 with no boosters for the last few levels.

Was able to get 6337 on second try with the check mark and a lucky roll of 15 extra moves ( I only used 5 of them though)

Done.... followed Ditte's tips in the end on 37 and used a check booster. On 63 just a ufo and fish. Struggled a little with the last one but got it with no boosters. Fun week... only had to restock boosters once. Ditte has become the new Cookie. Thanks for all your tips, Ditte.... without you this game would be so much harder. I always check now what you think and do likewise... ta dah... done for another week. On with enjoying Sunday..... OC

Something different happened with Space Race this week. I came in SECOND place. This was probably due to competing against someone who knows about level 3309 and really took advantage of it.

In less than 10 hours (last time I had checked) and someone swooped in and earned around 19,500 CBs. Ran the math to make sure it was legitimate and discovered that it really only should take about 40 minutes of concentrated effort to hit 20,000 CBs.

Oh well ... it was bound to happen sometime :)

Rick said...

Candy Crush has a new feature "Tiffi and the Beanstalk" in my Android tablet. I don't know if it is available on the other platforms. You have to clear 5 levels to get the rewards (all 7 regular boosters). If you miss to complete any level from 2 to 4, you slide back to level 1. The first 4 levels are very easy but the last level is hard. The cherry is blocked by a popcorn each on 4 columns. It is only good for about 60 hours and mine just ended. However I was able to increase my hand switch boosters to 75. I used some of my 1400+ lollipop hammers I earned from the Chocolate Box to grow the popcorns on level 5 to get the hands. Although the hammer has more uses than the hand, I need to use the hand occasionally too.

Rick I am curious... did they stop the Chocolate Box trick after you posted here or are you still able to make the trick work??? OC

To Anonomous, the trick still works for me. I played also the Chocolate Box in conjuction with playing Tiffi and the Beanstalk. I don't play the Chocolate Box anymore now because I have almost 1500 hammers in addition to 1600+ cb's and s/w's. King might discontinue the Chocolate Box anytime, but I think I have enough hammers already.

What is going on with 6301. It says ‘oops’ before the game board opens up. I lost five lives without playing at all.

Well, I guess my cc days are over. I have tried to play 6301; and I lose all of my lives with ‘oops’. Maybe I should have stopped long ago. It has been fun.

Pat, others have the same problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

According to Cookie, some people have a serious glitch on this level (6301) it just says "oops" before a move can be made so hopefully this will be fixed as soon as possible.

@PAT For level 6301, select the check mark booster if you have one available. That will stop the "Oops" message but you're going to need at least 8 of the check mark boosters to show up on the board to have a chance of completing the level.

King appears to have reduced the layers of the multi-layered icing and increased the number of moves in an attempt to make the level easier but forgot to correspondingly reduce the number of icing blocks needed to complete the level (from 63 to 55).

Thanks, det. I will just catch up on my novel reading. Since the new levels come out tomorrow, I might not have the same problem on my tablet.
