Candy Crush Saga level 742

Tips for level 742 Candy Crush Saga
You have 35 moves to collect 2 ingredients. The exits are on the right side of the board below the licorice blockers, so to collect the ingredients you need to clear a path through the licorice.
The first ingredients falls down on move 21, with 20 moves to go, so make that move over the exits, not on the far left of the board so the ingredient is over an exit and doesn't need to be moved.
The locked bombs count down from 20 so have to be removed and once you begin to clear licorice more bombs will fall from the dispensers on the right.
Stripe/wrap combos are very useful and I found wraps fairly easy to make on this level.

I can't remember the last time I felt so defeated on a level. Do I really want to continue? Is it worth it? I can't even get close on this level. Surely I have better things to do with my time. So sad. I have enjoyed my time with Candy Crush, but I must take a break at the least. Good luck everyone.

Fruits drop on 21 and 6. Forget about the licorice on this level, it really is just a distraction. To beat this level you need to drop your fruits out on and exit column, preferable the column with only one licorice protecting it. Then simply use a vertical strip candy to blast the fruit down. The difficult is you only have 6 moves to get the last fruit in position, try to plan your vertical strip candy ready for when the last fruit drops on to the board. One final note is that the bombs that appear on the licorice side of the board have a habit of detonating just as your about to make your winning and last move, so just keep an eye on the count down...

Following Rooky's advice I had both fruits on top of each other, just above the 1 licorice exit, with just one move left I was lucky enough to be able to hit them with a strip candy and they both exited together...

Cheers Rooky

I'm the one who left the first comment. I took my break for a week playing only a few times. Today I got through. I used three boosters at the start of the game and then only need one lollipop. Very important is to note where you play when the ingredient is about to fall. If it falls far to the right or left you might as well quit that round. Also, getting rid of the licorice is problematic, so concentrate there, too.

+Thanks for the tips guys. Easy in the secomd attempt without using boosters 2 stars.

Thanks everyone for tips you do need to align both in the same row and set off a vertical, if you have more than one licorice below you it will be hard to make more than one vertical so try to clear these while you are waiting for the final fruit and also have a vertical ready. Don't forget when you are coming up to the last fruit drop to leave a match in the same row as the first one. A coconut wheel would make this level easy if you are struggling as it would help you take out the bombs and hopefully you would get another drop to help with the fruit at the end. Regards AJ

Essentially both fruits are in the same column preferably the least liquorice then vertical stripe. Quite a clever and enjoyable level.

My fruit did NOT drop on 21 and 6..did manage to get through this level after reading hint about working on the right..thx

JanC here. I either had a run of very unlucky boards or finally got one very lucky board because it seemed to go from impossible to easy with no change of play on my part. One star but no boosters or extra help in any form (except for the good tips here: many thanks) ... Sorry I have nothing to add except perseverence.

Been on level for awhile! Just saw your tips! Got it first try!! Sweeeeeet! Thanks for the help ! On to 743! BAMMMM

Great tips! After weeks of frustration and almost giving up, got it on the first try today after reading the comments with 7 moves to spare. Pretty sure I had a lucky board too!

Rooky's tips helped me beat this level after about 20 tries. Need a lucky board to get past the first set of bombs, then drop the ingredients down the exit with only 1 licorice, then get lucky with a vertical stripe to drop them all the way down.

Thanks to all your tips, I finally passed this level after two tries!

Ok read the hints...then played using them sort of...
Used a coconut wheel got rid of a couple bombs and finished of the last 1.
Managed to get 2 wraps together...took out all the bottom ......fruit went right in.....rembered that the last one dropped on 6.
Made as many stripes as I could until I was on move 6.
Mixed.2 stripes and voila....in went the last fruit..
Thank you for great comment tips....

Lots of lives used trying on iPhone, PC and iPad. Finally made it on my iPad, no boosters and one star. Managed to drop the fruits in the same column on 20 & 6 with only two licorice at the bottom and a stripe ready to match. This was definitely a lucky board!

If an ingredient falls into the slot that's one column left and one row up from the one-licorice column, you are DEAD. There's no escape portal below, a border to your left, and one of those empty spaces to your right. I've never heard of being able to move an ingredient UPWARD, so it seems to me if you get one stuck here you might as well bail.

After reading the tips, got this level on the first try!!

Seems like I will be here a while. My boards have most unlucky so far.

Horrible level! Ready to quit! Not worth playing & no longer fun!

Very rarely do I get past the stupid bombs. How the hell are you supposed to get them? Then when an ingredient comes down, it's always on the left, so no hope of moving it over. Stupid level!

Rather annoying - my fruit finally dropped on 5 (took pics on 6 and 5) and I still thought I was going to get through but no I didn't. Really ticked off - been here for a week.

Reading the tips again... :(

I was on this level before a friend and I watched her just fly past me! I give up. No money from me!

It's important to know when the fruits will drop, allowing the player to set up a vertical stripe in the columns where they will come down. While most of the comments I have read talk about getting both fruit in the same column, I was lucky and was able to get rid of the first fruit very quickly. I had to use a lollypop hammer to get rid of a time bomb on the licorice side of the board that was down to one turn.

So frustrated with this level! It's horrible! Been here for a LONG TIME! About to give up.

I'm still stuck on this level but one tip I would give is if you get a fruit fall in the first 3 left hand columns it's game over, quit and start again.

One thing I've discovered on this level is that to get a fruit to drop in a specific column, making a move in that column doesn't guarantee the fruit will drop there, at least on mobile. I haven't seen this yet on PC, but when making a match in the center column, I've had fruit appear as far as two columns to the left. I have managed to move them over exit chutes a couple of times. Just a word of warning not to count on fruits dropping in the column where you're making matches. I don't know if this is a glitch, or something King has changed.

I finally passed this level using a color bomb/striped combo after getting the usual lucky board. I would not advise using striped/wrapped combos unless you have to as this releases bombs on the right side of the board. The only way you can get to them is some type of striped combos, but it will only release more bombs. Keeping these in check will cause you to run out of moves before you can pass the level, even if you let them go for awhile.

Such an annoying level and since when did anybody ever get a board like the one above? Bored to tears with this.

Thanks to Rocky...I was getting pretty frustrated with this level, and your advice to ignore the licorice was spot on! After reading your tips, passed the next time!

Tried everything...guess I will post this and try again. If that doesn't work break time!

Sick of this level, tried everything and as usual candy crush makes you lose so you will buy boosters. Ready to quit also.

Horrible level, with bombs get me or fruits drop on left side of board or moves run out. Frustrating to say the least may be considering quitting no fun and stressful

This level is rigged been on it 4 days can't get passed the bombs
