Remember you'll want combos that do horizontal damage ... But even that won't go through the liquorice!
Just keep making combos.. A colour bomb/stripe combo will do most damage to the licorice.
The cake has to be destroyed at some stage as there are jellies underneath it and that will clear a lot of licorice and any open jellies.

Ridiculous level, keep going round and round in circles getting nowhere fast! Any help would be so great fully received!

Very difficult level. Eventually the following strategy worked for me. Try to clear the cake as soon as possible. I reset the board until I was able to clear several parts of the cake in the first few moves. I used a hammer to clear the last part of the cake. The cake will blow away the licorice. After that it is fairly easy to finish.
I wish the hard levels would ease up! Gets time consuming and frustrating! It constantly shuffles--the lineups are terrible! Can't seem to clear that cake!! Tried a million times! I can't wait to get lucky-and pass it! I want that cake--and eat it too!
Another stinky level that relies mainly on luck to get a decent board to pass. Every reshuffle never gives me a break on the left board....or much on the right board for that matter. I am fast losing patience after 2 days as it just goes nowhere ands is boring as hell :(
