Hints and tips showing how to pass level 589 Candy Crush Saga
Forget about the orders, just concentrate on making downward stripes to kill the bombs and stripe/wrap combos to keep the chocolate under control.
Colour bombs are really helpful as you can use them to kill the bombs as well as collect the orders you need.

This is by far the worst level in this episode. There are only 12 moves to kill those initial 3 bombs which are spaced across the conveyor. If by chance you happen to hit the conveyor but not a bomb, another 12 move bomb appears. After at least 30 tries, I have not even come close to keeping the bombs under control. Vertical stripes or colour bombs are needed but both really hard to come by. Horizontal bombs seem to be plentiful but are useless without a wrapped candy to combine with.
Good luck to everyone with this level! I think I'm going to be stuck here for ages.
Greetings from Canberra.
There is no way this can be worse than level 578 where I and all my friends are stuck! I may never get to play this level...
Passed 578 by sheer luck and after numerous tries, then everything after that was easy EXCEPT for this one [589]. This one involves more skill than luck so may be stuck here for awhile
Passed this on the 4th try. Used stripes and color bombs once and striped/wrapped combo twice. May have just been a lucky board!
I found that the level was not that hard by following these steps:
- first prepare vertical stripes (rather easy) to shoot down the bombs
- As you do this, look for opportunities to make chocolate bombs (ideally combined with stripped candies)
- As you start using the chocolate bombs, it gets easier to get rid of the time bombs while taking care of your order
I was able to finish in about 15 attempts and lots of turns left
Good luck!
It's not easy but it's nothing like as tough as 578. At this stage of the game I expect some tough levels like this one, but 578 was just taking the mickey.
I think that anyone who has got to this level knows what strategy to use - vertical stripes, choc bombs etc - it's just getting a board to implement the strategy! So far I have only managed to clear 2 out of the 3 initial bombs - oh well, digging in for the long haul again! AS
Not such a long haul after all - finally got a board where I could make lots of specials and cleared it with moves to spare. Just hang in there and make as many specials as you can. AS
No bombs/stripe combos but I did unleash a good amount of stripe/wrap combos.

Guess I got lucky. Passed on 2nd try. Combos are the trick.
Posting on this board seems to bring good luck, so her goes!!!!!!

I thought this would be hard, but finished it in about 7 tries. Combos are the way to go. I was able to get a stripe/wrap twice that knocked out two bombs.
I truly don't understand what you mean, Got it on the first try and had at least 5 colour bombs during the game.
A real piece of cake.
Best regards from the Netherlands!
Here we go again. After a few fun levels, we are back to one that seems impossible without a very lucky board. Guess I will be here for a while.
I beat this on about the 10th try. I was so busy looking at the bombs I didn't even notice I'd won. It's a good thing, too, because I had two bombs with one count each and no way to get rid of either. This is my favorite type of game but the bombs took all fun out of it.
OMG what a horrible level, only tried it 10 times but never got past the bomb count down of 12 moves. What is more worrying is I had some excellent boards with some really good chocolate bombs and stripped candy's, yet I have still not managed to take out all the initial bombs.
Looks like another level that's going to be as boring as hell, but I guess with only 12 moves per try at least its over quickly...
Nightmare is all I can say ...
Woohoo! Lucky posting board!
After umpteen other tries I started with a colour bomb and it worked.
Posting on this board is lucky!
I am currently stuck on 589 and I think it is worse than 578. Having read all the warnings about 578 I was saving all my daily bonuses up for 2 weeks in preparation for this "terrible" level. I did throw everything I had at it, colour bombs. stipes/wraps and fish and got it on the 4th go. But I think 589 is tougher. Good luck with it.
Will try posting for good luck! Lol
I almost did it on my first try. Had only one purple jelly left to go. The level seemed easy to me so I didn't use a lollipop hammer for it. I have to wait two more minutes to get another life and spent the time reading the comments. Now I'm actually afraid that I missed a very good opportunity to finish the level and will be stuck on it forever. :-) - Gabi
Okay, not so bad at all. Four more tries and I had it. 10 moves left, three stars. I had two color bombs that helped wipe out the bombs and a stripe/wrapped combo which took out two bombs at once. And just before the next bombs could become dangerous I was finished. Very easy compared to 578. - Gabi
I was initially like, wth? I read the comments here and then was lucky enough to spin the wheel and get the jackpot and got every kind of booster. I selected the three startup ones and went for it. You do have to keep an eye on the bombs, combos and rely on skill. It takes both skill and luck. I passed it on about the fifth try. It is a hard one but not anywhere near 578. We're at this level because we're not quitters and really good at the game. Have faith. ;) Good luck!!
By sheer luck, I managed to pass this one on my first try with at least 12 moves left. Combos really helped and I used zero helpers.
Got the three bombs early then combinations. Quite enjoyable.
Not too hard actually. I guess good strategy and luck too, but only 4 tries to pass this one. Good luck all!
Actually, I have made stripes, wraps and chocolate candies but still was unable to clear the board! I guess other people have cleared it, so it can be done, it defintely is frustrating...
well i got close after i watched the video and realized i was to worried about getting rid of the bombs. and should just concentrate on making vertical stripes to reset them to twelve and the combos just seem to cascade and make themselves after that. i hope now that i have a better grip on what to do. once i get my lives again ill be able to kick this level too. good luck everyone
I tried everything on level 589. Couldn't clear the bombs in time. Finally got lucky enough to make two color bombs together, combined them, and all I needed, after they got through clearing all the candy, was eleven red, with six moves left on the two bombs remaining. Now, on to 590. Good luck all!
I have played 588 levels of this amazingly addicting game, and have read this blog for advice, but have never been as frustrated as 589. I have played it dozens and dozens of times and only once I cleared the original bombs but can't clear the new ones anyway. this level is ridiculous! I can't even get close so I'm losing hope!
I got it by getting one bomb with a vertixal and made two sprinkle chocs and used infdvidually to take out the color of each remaining bomb..somehow gave me yime fir anothe vertical and voila done. Took about 20 goes. Not an easy level..bombs took me out majority of games...so if u clear them concentrate as colors run down quick..the only other good game I hsd I was left with 3 purple. Next level is easy as so waiting now to unlock next station. Happy crushing
I hate bombs. You don't have a chance here. I got level 578 easily by some miracle. Only 4 tries. This is insane.
After one month of trying, I finally finished this awfully hard level, and honestly, it only happened because of pure luck. A generous board seems to be the only way to beat it. Don't give up, if I did it, so can you. Now, I hope I won't see another bomb for many levels to come.
Greetings from Canada ;)
I used a daily free spin sprinkle matched with a stripe to get me started. First, I made some vertical stripes then when the bombs were at about 3 I used that combo. That then gave me some breathing space to make more verticals but really, the combo achieved a lot of the orders and all I had to do was focus on the remaining orders.
I hate chocolate & bombs and this level combines both in a horrid way. Will keep plugging for now.
When I first started this level, I was obsessed with getting vertical stripes lined up to kill each bomb. That took too many moves.
Someone said in a comment above to try to make combinations on top and not to worry about the bombs as much. That strategy worked much better.
Keep your eyes on the bombs, but really work for combos you can make on top. A couple of stripe/wrapped combos wiped out the bombs for me.
It might have been a lucky board but I got 3 stars with 12 moves left. You have to recognize the lucky board, so don't be overly obsessed with the bombs. Good luck!
I come here so often and find it so helpful but have never posted before. For this level, ignore the bombs at the bottom, make as many matches as you can, and when possible make chocolate bombs to take out the coloured bombs at the bottom. I did this first try after watching a different video with a different method.
Ridiculous! Hard! Will try to focus more on things other than the bombs.
Did not find this to be difficult at all. Completed it on the 5th try.
Having a very difficult time, the darn bombs go off so quickly . . ahhh.
