Candy Crush Saga Level 1718

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1718 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
There is jelly under the popcorn so they need to be cleared using stripes and wraps.
A sideways stripe between 2 of the popcorns will hit them both.
A colour bomb switched with a wrap is brilliant for clearing the popcorn, but not so easy to make on this restricted board.
However any moves used to hit the popcorns will pay off as the resulting colour bombs will unlock and remove the jelly. You don't need many moves to clear the jelly once the popcorns are dealt with so don't worry if you seem to be running out of moves.
A fish booster may help with level 1718, but either a colour bomb or stripe and wrap may be even better.

I don't mind hard boards. What I can't stand are boards like this; one possible useless move, followed by another useless move, followed by a reshuffle, then another useless move.....you all get the idea. The classic 'wait for a lucky board' board.

I had a lucky board on my first try and I dind't notice. I was 1 move short of completing it and now, after three days on it and can't even came close to finish it. What a boring and pointless level...

The popcorn on my board did not have jelly under them. I lucked out and was able to switch a wrapped candy next to a chocolate bomb and it wiped out lots of jellies.

Agree with above comment all useless moves am finding it difficult. Do not attempt to use boosters as I did and was forced to use them on useless moves. Am going to stay with it and be patient and hopefully good moves will come.

I did use all three boosters to start and lucked out that a stripe popped up right next to the sprinkle ball. Combining them did a lot of damage. Later was able to match up another stripe and sprinkle. From there it was easy to get the remaining jellies. JS

Thx. Used all 3 and done!

I played on the PC and there were no jellies under the popcorn. I can't see finishing this level without a sprinkle bomb combined with stripe or wrap. Sprinkle + stripe opened it up for me.

This level is driving me nuts..... get one good move and the next 5 are useless moves at the top or where there are no jellies. sigh Guess my lucky board will have to come along before I can move on.

Playing on PC - did not have to remove all the popcorn (unless a fish had eaten the jelly under it?) Started with all 3 boosters, and wasn't doing well, then got a wrap one away from a sprinkle, so used the hand switch to get them together, which won the level. Only one star though.

Not enough moves this makes no sense W T F

Impossible level!! 3 days not even close!!! Help!!

This level is doing my head in. Useless moves at start then when you start to get on a roll, you are out of moves.

Looks like there's a bug on the iphone version, I have a line of candies that have been dropping for about 10 minutes now!

Hooray I passed it.300+ games later. Next.

Playing on the computer, it's not necessary to remove the popcorn to clear the level (though it helps). The level starts with jelly under the popcorn, but hitting the popcorn just once will clear that jelly. I have noticed this with some recent levels played on the computer (but not on mobile) that when hitting chocolate or licorice with jelly underneath, the jelly clears immediately and does not require a second hit. That is what is happening here as well, so to complete the level, hit the popcorn at least once. This leaves the central column of locked candy as the hardest part of the level because you need to either clear the popcorn at the top or get stripes or stripe/wrap combos, or in my case, a colour bomb generated separately from the popcorn set against a wrap. That went a long way to helping me pass this level on the fifth try, though I needed a swap hand to set up a three-candy meld to take out the last piece of jelly.

Got the middle popcorn but the order two are impossible to hit waiting for the lucky board

Didn't realize you didn't need to get all the popcorns busted before you could win. Thanks for that information, Took a few candy crushers along with a sparkle ball and fish and one switch as well, but I finally got through it! Thanks for the hints! Thank goodness for the daily wheel, have to start saving up my extras again!

Still waiting for a lucky board!!
Boring.......

I like. This board and the one before, no bombs, liquorice or chocolate just good old fashioned candy crush what's not to like!

I feel like my version has a glitch; switching a colour bomb with a wrapped candy only gets rid of the same colour pieces as the wrapped candies (it doesn't make them into wrapped candies and then start them exploding). I've been on this level for more than a week. Not happy.

Playing on a mobile device so I eventually started with all three boosters and reset until I got my color bomb next to a stripe AND my wrap near a popcorn. It still took 3 hammers to finish but I didn't want to waste anymore time on this boring, no fun, level. If I'd read these comments first I might have tried on the PC to avoid having to hit the popcorn so many times.

Ugh...another absurd level

I am upset because I just lost all my boosters. My 33 lives stayed but I worked hard for all those boosters. Almost 40 sprinkles, 30 combos, 40 coconut wheels, 30 fish, and 15 checks. I hope I can get them back.

Miserable level without boosters. So, basically boosters are greatly appreciated. I had the treasure chests for one day and that disappeared before the time it's supposed to end. What gives!!!!

Whoop whoop !!! Fifth try....No boosters !

Otro nivel aburrido, y difícil. No soy optimista para pasarlo. Es solo cuestión de suerte o de cuando los desarrolladores lo deseen. Suerte

Help!!!! This isn't even classified as a hard level

Anonymous said...

I misread the instructions and thought it said there were NO jellies under the popcorn so I didn't bother trying to blow up the final one until I was down to needing three jellies and noticed a jelly under the popcorn but it was too late to get it.

Completed the level on the second attempt with no boosters. It was straightforward as I had the chance to make several sprinkles and matched them with stripes.

Played on Android tablet & phone, plus PC. I might have a problem! I found PC much easier than the multiple times on the tablet and phone, or mauybe the lucky board just popped up on the PC. Without boosters I was able to get a sprinkle ball and a wrap together and that was the ticket. Cleared most of the board and then was able to get a stripe on the same line as the popcorn to finish.

Try on mobile for color bomb and wrapped boosters to be next to each other. Make sure there is one candy of the wrapped color over at least two, ideally three, of the popcorns. Then use boosters liberally during the round to make color bomb plus wrapped or striped combos.

Please give me a lucky board soon. This isn't classified as hard but it's giving me fits. Please help

CatB said...

OK, I passed on the phone with no boosters.

I had no boosters cuz I used my three last boosters: Sprinkle bomb, stripe/wrap, and fish and guess where King stuck them? In those little spaces on the very botttom single columns blocked by 4 tiered jelly.

But i hate fish anyway. I got a board which formed 3 sprinkle bombs - just luck, I guess.

I plan to use your approach. It seems do-able.

Why on Earth isn't this marked as a hard board?

Anonymous said...

Another horrid board where there are few options to make any decent moves, almost as painful as pulling teeth with pliers. Will be bored to death until the lucky board comes along...cheers CC for being consistant with the sh*itty boards :P

I am sick and tired of the CC game. Not my game anymore, too Many changes in moves etc. Cant waist my time! For me it stops here and now!

I hate this level! At first I thought it was fun, that was for a brief time. It does say hard level, but not boring, waiting for a good board gets old very quickly!☹️

Ugh. Played at least 40 times, need some luck or a new game!

Board very restricted. Limited available moves that are useless. Suggestions?

You know it’s a crap level when the board keeps reshuffling because there are no moves available. 😡. Need Lucky Board PFL
