Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2517 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to collect 2 ingredients in only 13 moves to complete level 2517.
This is a very hard level due to the lack of moves and also the very restricted board.
The main focus of level 2517 is clearing the cake bomb and at the same time you have to collect keys.
Collecting keys will unlock the locked cells and allow the ingredients to drop as soon as they are released. Try to unlock the chocolate before the cake is detonated and if you can do this the cake bomb will complete the game for you.
If the chocolate is still locked it will only be unlocked by the cake bomb and you will still need moves to collect the ingredients.

I found this level boring - too few moves, too uninteresting. I used the coconut wheel booster and got through that way.
Very hard level. Too few moves and too many blockers. Hope I get a lucky board soon.
I really hate using boosters unless it is a last move that will clear the board, but I started with a coconut wheel and let it drop down to clear the chocolate and the board seemed to clear up and once I got the cake, everything cleared up.
definitely not enough moves on this one. The video above, how lucky to get a bomb next to a stripe, how often does that happen on an opening board?
Well I think levels 2516 and 2517 were written by the same King employee(s). Both levels totally boring and mindless. No fun, impossible to do, not enough moves - need I go on! I really thought 2516 was a bastard of a level but 2517 joins it in the ranks. Again one has to patiently wait till King deems it fit to give you the lucky board or spend cash on buying boosters. Sack the employee(s) that are creating these impossible levels please.
I want to use a coconut booster but afraid it might land where it will be just a waste. I need a luck like coconut/special candy or choco/stripe land next to each other. as now playing without any boosters, I don't have enough moves at all.
After I left the above post I took a chance and started with the only coconut wheel I had. It worked! I did unlocked the keys first and was able to mix the wheel with a stripe that appeared near by then it was over. Just like I wished it would. I'm telling you, players, post a comment here and your lucky board will show up! Thank you Ms. Cookie!

of all the boring levels in candy crush, i would rate this as probably top three. zzzzzz. hooping for a lucky board soon before I put a bullet in my head
ultra boring level! spent here 4 days, finally passed today w/my lucky board + 1 hammer.
wow is this just the most infuriating level ever. I don't understand why king would think that players that have gotten to these levels would break down and buy boosters that won't benefit. we are made out of stronger stuff than that! I have patience and will endure.
I spent 10 hammers to get out of level 2516 as I couldn't take it any longer. The mindless boredom. Seems this level is just as bad or worse so I am posting for luck or maybe I should just take a couple of months off. This used to be such a fun game. What happened King?????
I struggled with this level until i figured i'd worry about the cake bomb and not keys. I only opened one key, got the cake and the cherries fell out. Doesn't look like the keys are necessary... at least not more than one.
I have worked on this for days, and I can't remember the last time I did that! I have yet to see a cherry. I don't have a coconut booster on my pc and this level has not been updated on my apps so can't use any of those boosters. Its ridiculous!!!

I read all the comments and clearly the person who posted to put two sprinkles next to each other had it. I know we don't all get the lucky helmet at the same time but if you're fortunate enough to have it use a second sprinkle and reset till next to each other. This sets off a huge reaction where all the buoys are hit and game over. Finished first move three stars! It's clear with all the boosters king is offering that they're focused on making boards where you really need them. Not nearly as much fun as the early le elsewhere skill was key;(
I took a color bomb, a wrap/stripe combo and a coconut wheel for booster. After several tries I had a good constellation with bomb and stripes to destroy the cake rapidly. For the fruits I took 2 hammers. 10 moves remained.
Chocolate sprinkle/coconut wheel combo (my favourite) side by side on one of the 3 open rows. First try, 6 moves left.

Not exactly sure how it happened but got down the last move, needed only 1 segment of the cake to go, did the spin thing for extra moves and ended up with 15 extra moves, used a hammer on the cake and level completed with 8 moves to spare. Glad to be past this POS level.

This level is so hard.....I haven't even seen a cherry yet. I'm feeling like this one is impossible.....
I used a coconut wheel and concentrated on clearing the cake and opening chocolate at bottom. I cleared only one key, but after clearing the cake, the cannon boom dropped the fruit out the exits. It was so fast, I didn't see it fall.

In the end I used one of each booster option - Coconut wheel, Sprinkle and the stripe/wrap combo - glad I had them or I would have given up completely - is this game getting a bit tedious now or is it just me?!

Color bomb and stripe took out almost all the cake. I used a hammer on the last slice and fruit fell out and down and it was over... only matched one key and didn't need any more... not even sure I needed that one.
1 star, no boosters. I did spin the wheel and got 5 extra moves.
Just passed. No boosters, no em, no helmet. I manage to form a cb + wrap combo which really helps clearing the pizza and bottom row chocolate. 2 stars.
Are you playing in mobile? When you don't like the place of the wheel, just push the return button and start a new game . You will neither lose the wheel nor a life and can try again
IMPORTANT: 1) you don't need to get all keys...!!! You just need 2 keys to open the slots under the cake!! 2) focus mostly on the cake,but do the last piece of cake only if the chocolate in the 2 lines under the cake is open. You have the cake, you have the cherries. 3) as booster I recommend start with cb + stripe or wrap (return and start again until cb and the other is together). Coconut wheel for me did not help (ran out of moves).
Result: Had even 5 moves left with cb + wrap as a start.

Coconut Wheel cleared cake and then used 2 hammers to get rid of chocolate blocks. Finished with 2 stars.

After reading here I used just a coconut wheel, reset a couple times to get it in a good position. When I finished the cake, the explosion cleared the cherries. Only one spot in the chocolate was unblocked but it was enough.

Really? 13 moves? You are not producing games for geniuses. We are normal people trying to chill out and enjoy the moment of playing your game. However, you make this impossible if you (King) make the game impossible to achieve this goal. Very disappointed in your decision.

The coconut wheel does work, as long as it’s in the position to hit the cake in bothrows and then you are lucky enough to have a 2 nd one show up in the right spot.

Y'all may hate me for this. I hit this level with two color bombs (bonuses) and I let the coconut wheel play by default (since I have 20+ of 'em). I waited until I got a board that had the color bombs together, which wiped out most of the board. The coconut wheel was then positioned right under the cake thing - and took out the remaining pieces. I GOT THIS LEVEL IN TWO MOVES! I do feel the frustration of everyone else though, because I know this would be a "lucky board" level otherwise.
