Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2790 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 2780 can be quite a hard level as there are so many licorice and marmalade to clear.
First you will need to get the candies dropping into the top part of the board by clearing some of the licorice at the bottom. Here is where you will need a bit of luck. As soon as you get some candies into the top you need to try to make some matches there. If you can't start to make matches in the top half of the board you may struggle to complete this level.
The top half is the "bottom" of the board so making moves there will create cascades which you need to have any chance of clearing the level.
Although you are working in the top part of the board you should check the bottom before every move to check for colourbomb patterns.
The best combo for clearing level 2780 is a colourbomb/wrap, especially if there are plenty of candies of the right colour in the top.
Next best is a colourbomb/stripe.

Its letting me use boosters. I am using the space dash and also I used a check booster on 2784. I'm playing on my PC so I don't lose the space dash. I haven't played on the phone today.
What is the space dash????
@msnega You're playing on a PC and level 2784 let you use a checkmark booster? Are you sure about that? Level 2784 is not a Candy Order level. It doesn't have a checkmark booster available. At least not in my version of the game.

My mistake, disregard my previous comment. I used the check booster on 2783, I'm still trying to get through 2784, any tips will be appreciated. The space dash is where you get all the boosters when you pass the levels without losing a life. I think its available to everyone.
I finally finished 2784. I had to use two lollies real quick before my time ran out to clear the board. It was worth it because I was on this level for a long time.
I just played today and completed Episode 187 (levels 2781 to 2795). King introduced 6 hybrid time levels (timed levels with another type, in this case, jelly). What makes the hybrid levels difficult is that you are under time pressure and can't hardly think or plan your moves. The hardest I think is 2784 because you have to deal with licorice covering double cream blockers. I played it at least 15 times and have to buy extra time to complete 2784. The next hardest is 2793. I completed the other non-hybrid levels in the first go but none of the 6 hybrid levels.
Thought CC had learnt their lesson when they lost so many players with the proliferation of timed levels in some earlier episodes. Looks like the "Time Level" programmer must have been sent on a holiday as a reward and now he is back in full swing!!! 6 timed levels in one episode is too much, I really do not like, and certainly I do not enjoy playing timed levels so the end is nigh for CC and myself.....
I was looking for comments about 2780. None here, but comments on levels in the next episode. Please, folks, stick to the level in question.
I watched three videos of people passing this level. They all had 24 moves. I have 20 moves. Not even coming close on this one. Lucky board is necessary.
One of the easiest episode ever (with the help of the SD...), although I combined only 36 stars on my first try.
I don't know how King determine Super Hard levels, 2779 was the easiest in the episode and this is not the first time.

Very easy enjoyable episode with the help of SD. Finished every level on the first try but I have to say with a gold crown on every level you're unable to go back and tell what type of level it is by the color. Only finished with 34 stars for the episode. Not liking the new info side bar showing your boosters, stars, moves, requirements, etc.. Find some of it too small and very hard to read. Good to see Gil back but where is Carlton and Lucia. Til next Wednesday. Looks like we're really in for it with six new timed levels. Thanks to Rick for keeping us informed of what's ahead.

Wow another level I"m struggling with.
Yes, Sharon, not a bad episode thanks to the space dash. Not good news about the next episode if it's riddled with timed levels. I'm too old! My 80+ year old eyes and reflexes don't handle them well. The new graphics are bad enough! Hope to see y'all next Wed and we'll see how long I can last.
I also struggle with the timed levels Carol the elder. Apparently the new ones also have jellies. I just went ahead and looked at one of Cookie's videos. Good luck to you on the next episode.

Space dash is not available to everyone, more's the pity.
And as timed levels are not fair to those with physical limitations of any sort, there should be some alternative way to pass. Like the Tooth Fairy (which I only get when there are no new levels to pass, rendering it useless, but it would be useful in a timed level for those who need it), which could be made available for gold bar purchase or by some other means.
Only 20 moves make this very hard. Tried double chocolate sprinkles with no success, posting for luck.

Not sure what CC did on this level from yesterday today but licorice is dropping where licorice didn't drop yesterday. Came very close many times yesterday and today nowhere near passing.
I completed level 2780 but it will not advance to 2781. I am playing on iPad and all updates are current Anyone else have this problem.King has not replied to me.
Ipad and iPhone will not go to 2781 until next Wednesday. (october 4th) Mobile devices are always behind the PC. STarted with each of the boosters after many tries with no boosters. I was then able to make moves up top on the third move. Stripe/ wrap combos work very well clearing all the jelly. Good luck everyone! Back to collecting sugar drops. Until next Wednesday.
@ Sharon, Rick and Gil....I just can't believe you are doing all levels in just 1 try, and saying that the episodes are "easy and enjoyable". I just can't believe this anymore. You all are lying or cheating (with or without your helping accessories). Proove me otherwise......
Many otherwise impossible levels are easy(ish) with space dash.
this level was very frustrating. After two days on it I gave up and used a hand switch to move a wrap next to a colour bomb, which left me with 5 jellies to go. I had to use 2 hammers to finish it :-(
typical lucky board level.....keep playing mindlessly until it works.

Sorry it's not about this level but could someone please tell the answer, I'm at the end of the game and wait for the update on Wednesdays for further levels, how come some people are already playing the next levels xx
@ SiouxD (and others as well), the game on mobile devices is running 2 episodes behind the game played on PC. New episodes are available on Wednesday.
2780 is impossible.
I am also trying of Rick's bragging and also ppl who comment on levels beyond the present level. If you have passed this level, post your videos so we can benefit from your wisdom, or else, do not comment on levels that are not current levels. Only Ms. Cookie gives enough tips here. Can someone please tell me how on earth this can be completed. The whole board is liquorish and combos have no effect. Not enough room to make colour bombs. And space dash/2 colour bombs together just leaves all of the top in liquorish.

yet another seemingly impossible level. I play on PC so dont get space dash that everyone is talking about! how unfair is that :-( seems pc players will soon be unable to play as levels are far too hard for us with no boosters and no way to get extras beside sugar drops once a day
They are complete bores. They should start their own mutual appreciation blog. They could call it 'Space Dash Worship.
I completed this in the 4th try with no boosters. When I'd opened it up a bit I managed to get a colourbomb/wrap combo that got rid of most of the liquorice. I then had ten moves left to mop up the rest. Finished with 4 moves to spare. You can do it folks. It's actually relatively easy if you work on getting the right combos.
For those playing on PC, if you use Facebook then download the Facebook Gameroom app. It's worth hoping Facebook just to sync with Candy Crush if you don't. Playing on Gameroom gives you the same features as Android or IOS, so you'll get your Space Dash (aka Mort's Helmet). Play level 2000 a few times to fill it up. Personally I only do this as a last resort as I prefer to try to beat the levels without starting with boosters.

Also, Gameroom is ahead of the mobile apps, so you won't have to wait for updates to move to the next level...
And no level is impossible Lucia. Incredibly difficult and tedious, Yes, but not impossible...

Currently on Android its 24 moves, probably nerfed in the recent update. I didn't encounter much issue passing, considering i played without using boosters and space dash. 1 star though.
And i find it really odd that some are asking "why i don't see new stages on X and ppl are playing new stages on Y"... If u are a newbie i can understand, but at over lvl 2700 and ur still asking this, i find it really dumb.

This level is so frustrating, tedious, & impossible!! 20 moves to clear 75 jellies? Each one has to be hit twice! Plus licorice!! Can't be done with free boosters!! Need extra moves! Which have to be purchased!! Piggy bank of gold bars $2.99??!! I say it's ccurate forcing loyal players to buy boosters!! Obvious by the long list of people pisting!!

Tried many times on iPhone and ipad and the closest I could get was 4 jellies left a few times. Tried on the PC and got it first go with no boosters.
I messaged King about these ridiculous levels and the differences in how many moves there are depending on whast you play the game on. They practically wernt interested. CC is just no fun anymore they more interested in making money out of us all. Over them ;(

This one sucks...I've been on it for 2 days. I used to sit and wait for Wed new levels, now I'm 40 levels behind...no skill involved in this one, just have to wait for a lucky board...and btw, I started reading these posts and thought I was reading about the wrong level...what's up with everyone talking about higher levels????
Why can I advance further than this level (2780) on my Phone? On the pc I am at level 1805. Read that new levels come on Wednesdays but have been stuck here for over a week (and I think others are playing later levels on phones). It says "under construction". I have restarted my Phone - what more can I do?
Once again cutting moves as the low lifes do just about every level I can hear the players deleting as I type And that's good They need to realize people are tired of them cheating

At first was trying to clear bottom first....got nowhere...then read cookies tips and tried clearing top...just too bad never get any matches there. A lucky board would be nice...I played up 3 hours free play plus some other lives and never got close.
Need some luck with this one, Striped candies exploded at the bottom don’t always kill the licorice at the top even when it hits. Been stuck on this level for too long. Zzzzzz

2780 this level is hard this level is inpossible this level is shit i think it,s time to say good by c.c. playing it for tree day,s on my laptop and telefoon and can pass this level in 20 moves i have no boosters and when i have to remove one gel than i have no more moves i get not the right candy,s in the video it,s easy they get the real candy,s to pass this level i wand to play whith pleasur not whith anger and frustration good by c.c. after vijfyears.

I play on PC. There are no portal 'markers' so I don't know where the candy will fall from or to.

That was my comment above about portal markers. Just played this morning and the markers are now there. I didn't win but at least I'm not playing blind anymore.
Getting nowhere with this one. Agree with the other 91 posts that this is a tough level. It's hard enough to eliminate the marmalade and the licorice without the licorice falling back onto the board from the dispensers. As for making colour bombs in the top. HA. I've played an entire game or two and was unable to make even one move in the top.

I have NEVER had space dash and I have mde it this far so Lucia you are incorrect! I also disagree how they select who gets space dash it is basically king giving you a cheating pass!!! Those toads probably couldnt pass levels on their 50th try without their almighty dash bullshit! Would love comments to help with what real boosters to use or helpful strategies ��

Impossible with only 20 moves and no boosters. No way !!!! Cannot even get the combinations (colorbombs and wraps or strips) in those amount of moves. Will work on acquiring boosters and King can work on finding me a lucking board.

I've found some of these levels (while difficult sometimes) rather clever. They are doable, might take a few goes, but so what? And they definitely cost fewer lives when Cookie has already told us what we need to do. How many times would you have played this level before you figured out that the bottom was the top? Cookie, you are the best!
