Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2885 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Get 150,000 points in 18 moves to complete level 2885 Candy Crush Saga.
Forget about the top part of the board to begin with, unlocking the stripes will happen as you play and the score will come from colourbombs.
Look for colourbombs from the start and use them on a single colour, try not to have any colourbombs on the board when the cakes are cleared or they will be lost and won't score anything, use them first.
Don't switch a colourbomb with a stripe as it doesn't give many points, however switching with a wrap is not so bad.
As long as you keep making colourbombs and using them you should be able to get at least one star.
The score is very high with such a small board but the score is possible with huge amounts of luck, as you can see from the video below.

Completed level 2900
I can say it is hard to pass this episode if without boosters

I just came back from 28-day vacation and have to work through 5 episodes including the next one to catch up. I would say this episode is harder than the next one because I did not complete on the first try 7 levels against 2 levels (2890 & 2893) on the next episode. Since Cookie’s tips and the blog is not yet available for the next episode, I’ll post in here comments on some levels on the next episode and transfer them to the level involved as soon as the blog becomes available.
In 2889 try to grow the popcorn on the right as soon as possible because it is blocking the entrance to the bottom half for the licorice to fall. If you are 8 licorice short, you can pop the mixer if is surrounded by licorice to get the 8 when the mixer explodes. You can afford to hit the mixer several times but don’t knock it down because it is the only source of the licorice you need for the order.
In 2890. it is a timed level and a very hard one. The +5 candies are in the bottom row the the chocolate will eat them quickly. I’m lucky to be able to pass it on the 2nd try thanks to the fish. Use a fish booster. When there were only 3 jellies left, I hit the fish which took the last 3 jellies as time expired.
In 2894, use a CB combo. It will get you 6 yellow candies right away. A check candy booster here will also help.
Cookie thanks for your advice on this one. Needed a lot of freckles and single colours to reach the required score. All in all a hard episode that needed starting boosters and an arsenal of hammers and hands. Indy

I completed my new episode levels 2871 to 2885 this morning. I was so glad to be done when unexpectedly the next episode opened. What’s up with that?? Anyone else have this happen???

Having a lot of trouble with this one. Haven't come close despite using several choc balls. Waiting for lucky board.
I give up! Most I can get is 100,000 points in 21 moves. Even spun the wheel and got five extra moves. Absolutely horrid, annoying episode. King says they are celebrating their fifth anniversary. Well, as far as I'm concerned they're just p_ssing everyone off! Time to take a break!
Why do we need 130,000 points on mobile? Impossible!
2 possible answers..celebration of candy crush 5th anniversary or a means for the mobile players to catch up with the PC players...BTW. the next episode is a lot harder than this one. WAS going to save the second one for tomorrow but my cc buddy kept on playing so naturally I had to also keep playing
By the way, the most difficult level for me was 2878, I needed 2 hammers, 1 hand and 5 more moves from the free spin in order to complete on my first try.
I needed one more hammer on this level, 2885 and few fishes in jelly levels.

I followed Cookie's advice and didn't use the space dash sprinkles on stripe or wrap, but used them on a color to open up the top of the board. At first I didn't get many points and didn't think it would work. Then suddenly cascade after cascade erupted and the points piled up.
Hi Carlton: So very, very kind of you to ask. I really appreciate it :) After reading your post about the next episode being open I just kept on playing after I finished this episode. Finished level 2900 last night and posted on this blog but it was under level 2900 on the multiple 2801 - 2900 page. Unlike you I found the 1st episode much harder than the 2nd. I just haven't been posting much due to all the criticism directed at me from Kevin.

Tried double chocolate sprinkles, no luck.
Then single color sprinkles with a color, no luck.
Have used up so many color sprinkles with no luck.

Requirement is 150,000 on Android in 18 moves.

Words fail me that people have got through this whole episode easily ... for me the worst in months - used up all my booster and hammers and even had to resort to a Pinata ... are these folk for real that pass each game first go?

I am not facing any trouble to pass levels, espacially since King made up the Space Dash.
I tried this level for the second time, now when it required 150,000 and passed it easily with 230,560.
Don't see passing this level anytime soon. 130,000, 18 moves on PC, 21 moves on iphone. Why the difference? Have only broken 100,000 3 times. Very frustrating when you see others post that they only need 100,000 to complete the level.
King didn't make up space dash for everyone! That's the point. All levels are easy with space dash and impossible without it!We all want space dash!

Why do they keep changing these levels to make them harder after the best players finish them. If anything they should make them easier. They have lost so many players yet they keep making them harder.

This is such BS unlike video no stripes fall from top even when all cleared during final spin which is where videos get their win from also when candies burst they don’t count as much as the videos so they’ve cheated and rigged this level really good Ned,Ed’s to say WILL NEVER VUY BOOSTERS TO BEAT WHY? Because that will only encourage them to continue cheating their players in order to Get their money
I'm fortunate to have the space helmet, but I haven't even been able to get past 92,000 with the full load of boosters using several different strategies. Luck it will have to be.

Impossible! I do not see how I am going to get this one done. I have tried the color bombs with stripes and like someone else has posted, it really does not give very points. But I also have switched a color bomb and a wrapped candy and I still do not get the points. I am confused. I sure could use a lucky board. Like right now.

Well its time to take a break from the game 2885 is impossible for me ! I used allll my special candys and cant even get half the amount I need Ive been playing for a few years and this one is ticking me off enough to go away for a bit. I failed repeatedly on iPad before trying it on android phone. Got it first try on that. Sometimes that is all it takes, try a different device if you can
This is a horrible level. I'm completely baffled on what to do.
I've cleared both cakes on the second move by using a colourbomb/wrapped combination and that gave me only 14,000 points. with using colourbombs and stripes the best i got is 98,000. after about 10 games. colourbombs left at the end gave 3,000 pts. Why so little?

Well today I’m happy to say after watching Cookie video and her blog again, color sprinkle is the answer the more
You can get the better chance you have of getting the score you need, this time I made 5 color bombs and finally got the score I needed to pass, I did not use any boosters.
I also watched another video it was a talk through of this level and she said the same thing color bombs are what you need. Good luck everyone now on to the next😊👍
