Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2996 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Vertical stripes and stripe/wrap combos are what you will need to collect the ingredients and clear level 2996. You will need to grow the popcorn in the middle as it is blocking the ingredients from dropping down the middle part of the board, and the outside ingredients are held back by the blockers which need to be hit twice.
Colourbomb/stripe combos are good if you are lucky, but they can be unpredictable and don't always hit the blockers you need hitting.
Once the blockers are out of the way it's fairly easy to get the ingredients out of the exits.

level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have
changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know

Ingredients are not falling from the upper part, even when two colorbombs were switched, making general explosion... I think it is a bug. I've spent lots of boosters for nothing. :(

Started with a double coour bomb and coconut wheel, then 2 more wheels appeared in the right place to hit the popcorn.

Hoping the bug has now been fixed.
No glitch anymore. Passed on second try, starting with colour bombs combo which cleared the middle top blockers and using vertical stripes thereafter.

Posting for luck. Been stuck on this level for days and days and days. The ingredients don't drop down. Any ideas?
The ingredients still don't fall. I can't even use a hand because the hand does not work on diagonals. CC should fix the glitch although I am not sure they know about it.
Cleared everything with 2 colour bombs and still had plenty of moves left but nothing would move the last 2 ingredients. What can I do about this bug?

My candy crush app hasn't had an update since 4th Jan - is it because I am playing on an ipad2? - perhaps people playing on newer devices have received the update and the glitch on this level has disappeared but it's definitely still on my version so I'm taking a break for the foreseeable....

Zie hier dat er maar 4 kersen naar beneden moeten, ik moet 4 kersen en 4 noten en daar blijven er dan ook nog eens 2 van hangen, ook al is alles vrijgespeeld en rollen de snoepjes er wel gewoon langs :(

Yep, a problem. Added color balls from magic dash. Along with the 3 free moves etc. and coconut wheel made a dent. Saved up hammers and hand switches. Was ready to tackle.
Hit everywhere below stuck fruit with hammers. Hand swapped all over the place thinking there must be a secret “passage” somewhere.

One of my cherries refuses to budge as well and I'm on PC. Just have to use a hand switch, shouldn't be necessary though.
8 moves left to let the last cherry drop down.
Everything seemed to be fine, double CB on board, but the cherry wouldn't fall down. Last move, CB combined with stripe. Cherry still stuck at the top...
Only the left column seems to be dropping down, whatever I try.
Anyone help?

I noticed that I got the two corner candies to come down as long as the others were still blocked. I haven't passed the level yet but I think the trick is to get the two corner candies down first. Then you can bring the others down.
Hi Finally passed it Drop the candies on the corners first then the centre one will fall PS make sure all cherries and acorns have droped of screen b4 freeing the centre one Hope it helps

Please fix the glitch the the last ingredients won't drop. I had 18 moves left and they would not fall. Arghhhh
guys first drop the extreme candies before the middle candies. i just did. and it works. if you drop the middle candies first, then the two extreme candies will never drop. no matter how many boosters you use
there is a glitcj though the above technique works for the two extreme candies but there will always be 2 remaining candies which wont drop��
hey guys. i just passed that level. the trick is, to use a combination of stripe and wrap (bomb) candy at the middle and the remaining candies will drop. good luck��

I have been on level 2996 for days and have used every combination possible. Even when the path is clear the ingredients will not fall. There is something wrong! HELP!!!!
Ok I just wrote a comment a few minutes ago but wanted to report this - I just had all paths cleared and I had collected the two cherries, the two nuts were in a position to drop into the exit line, I had about 7 moves left, the hit them with all kind of combinations and they never moved. Something is differently wrong with this level.
P.S. Not wasting any more lives on this level until glitch is fixed!

Just like many other comments ingredients remain stuck in the middle corners no matter what is is used such as color bombs with stripes or wraps or the pink wheels. On Facebook or on my personal game there is no popcorn blocker.My game may be different? Have used at least 200 or more lives. This is unbearable. I am now playing other games but CCS is my favorite. PLEASE have Kazuohk from CCS All Help look into the difference as per his comment.

Thí a a tactic from King to make more money for a few weeks before releasing an update. It forces the players to try different combos and make them purchase more lives trying to pass. There is no way that this is a bug as there was another board that have the same issue a while a go where the ingredients won't fall until they update the game.
The secret to CCS level 2996 is to clear the right side blocker first. My game does not show a popcorn in the middle. Once the right side is cleared do the left side than the middle.A booster at the middle bottom will clear the last cherry at the top. Good luck.
Okay, I just did what someone suggested, clear the right, then the left, then the middle.....one cherry still stuck at the top, nothing will budge it!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact that the ingredients don't drop is random in any game. I had about 23 moves left with three ingredients free but still at the top, and not one of them dropped down. I'm not sure what causes them to drop, but it's frustrating to clear all the blockers and not be able to do anything else. BTW, I don't have a popcorn--just 2 blockers in the middle and one on each side.
First try, no boosters. Guess im getting lucky. Last 3 levels I got first try
THE LAST INGREDIENT IN THE MIDDLE DROPPED WHEN I USED THE COMBINATION OF A STRIPED AND WRAPPED CANDY RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. Hope this helps others.
The middle candy can be dropped. Since the right one always got stuck bcos the left side falls faster, all u need is blast the left side and ensure the center drop in one move. Ain't that hard.
Just passed on Android, nothing used. Used the aboce strategy. 3 stars.
The last ingredient can be dropped by a stripe/wrap combo from the center/bottom. Good luck!
Im getting the same problem the middle ingredient is stuck an wont budge
I am having the same problem...last cherry is not falling even tho there are no blockers. Frustrating!
I have only had 5 goes at the level & in all but one of them I got all the ingredients except for the one at 2nd from the right. In the other game (same ingredient blocked) it dropped on the last move. Unfortunately it did not make it all the way to the bottom (just 1 candy short). Anyway, my theory at this stage is maybe the ingredient is locked until the last shot & you need to clear it in that one last move. AKA have a stripe/wrap in position. Just a theory. I will repost if I have any success once I get some lives back.
Got it very next go with 13 moves to spare. No idea how or why the ingredient fell.

I got it first try but came to this site once I realized that cherry would not drop...My theroy is TWO vertical striped candies right up the middle...that did it for me with 15 moves to spare. Good luck all
To be clear I mean two striped at the same time...one on top of the other!
I used a colour bomb vs a striped candy. Got me passed this level in only 5-6 tries.

I had the upper right stuck. Color bomb plus wrapped candy got it down finally.
I hit my top left blue candy with a horizontal blue-striped booster, and it moved my last cherry to where I could crush it.
Top cherry wouldn't move on iPad, no matter what. First try on phone (older version!), done with many moves left. So for anyone who is still stuck on it, maybe try a different device?
I use my phone on candy crush never used it on anything else, just did a play thru waiting to load up maybe I’ll have luck like yoyrs👍 I did make quite a few color bombs wraps and stripes they were just in the wrong place, ty everyone for advice and good luck
Just gave it another try, no boosters, this level makes quite a few color bombs wraps stripes it’s just getting them in the right place to shoot up and get those ingredients unblocked this was my 7th try and passed, ty everyone for advice ty cookie for your advice comes in very handy😊👍 good luck to all....
