Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3040 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
As predicted, the moves have been reduced to 25 now to collect all the chocolate.
Don't use two colourbombs together as this will clear all the chocolate and you need to leave some to grow, also hitting the spawner too many times will destroy it and you might need it to spawn some chocolate.

You are going to need to unlock the magic mixer and the locked candied as with less moves there won't be enough time to collect all the chocolate without the mixer spawning at least once to give you an extra 9 chocolates.
Clear as much chocolate as you can in the first few moves, then let it grow for a few moves, keep doing this and you will eventually have enough for the orders.
Avoid clearing all the chocolate from the bottom part of the board as this will prevent it from growing back again. The chocolate in the top couple of rows can't grow downwards if there are no candies for it to cover so you need the bottom chocolates to be left to grow.

Don't use a double CB to start or destroy the Evil Spawner too early or you will never get enough chocolates and it will be game over. I used a check (tick) booster to increase my chocolate numbers. Indy
I agree with the above comment. I didn’t stop and consider so I used two cbs. It cleared the initial chocolate but I didn’t use a check mark so I had to be very careful to not destroy the spawned. Luckily, I was successful and managed to get the necessary amount of chocolate. I would suggest stripe wrap combos.

I started with a wrap/stripe combo and disturbed with the first move the keys. Then I looked, not to disturb the spawner. 11 moves left.
I blew up the spawner by mistake. I wish the evil spawner was that easy to get rid of when I wanted it gone! Anyway, I used my free gold bars to get extra moves so I could move on. I’m frozen in down here in Georgia and bored!

I used a stripe/wrap combo to start, used the color bombs to collect keys, and carefully avoided blowing up the spawner. The spawner made plenty of chocolate to finish with about 8 moves remaining
A tale of bad start idea, but sticking it out to the end. I started with full space dash and knew from above not to use 2 CB, but I had a strip plus wrapped right in the center top. I thought - what would ot hurt to get the keyes on my first move. I got a giant cascade after the candies unlocked, nearly all the chocolate was cleared and the spawner exploded. I had about 10 chocolate left, most on one side of the board. I had used a checked candy, so although I didn’t think I could get to 55 chocolate - I played away from the chocolate and my lucky candy kept dropping to match on the conveyor and some how did stop the other chocolate from growing. I finished with 1 move left.
Forget the CB's frimthe SD/SS/MH and start with strip/wrap combo in the top middle.
The purpose of this combo move is:
1. Hit the 3 keys
2. Free the Evil
3. Open the top sides columns for candies to drop in.
4. Leave chocolates available to grow.
I believe this is the winning move as it was fairly easy for me after that.

The check booster is not creating choc for me and the spawner bus keeps blowing up even if I keep well away. No her how to do this. Used 10 goes already
I think Gil has the right idea. Worked second time I tried it, but also used a check mark booster. JS
Instead of 45 chocolates in 35 moves (which was really easy) its now 10 Lore chocolates in 10 less moves (55 chocolates in 25 moves). Best I managed were 7 chocolates left, because it's almost impossible NOT to hit the spawner and my spawners always explode before even spawning one single chocolate. I must work further on my timing... I assume a checked booster would help nicely, I just don't have one 😀
Anonymus 18. Jan/16h22 is right - won a checked booster via daily spin and used it. Created 1 chocolate but no new checked candies came again. At least for me.
GIL - THANK YOU. Your advice saved my day. Level is meanwhile leveled as hard and probably I would sit another day on it without your advice. Still it's difficult to build up enough chocolate... Fortunately the spawner spawned 1 time (= 8 chocolates) before he was destroyed.

No boosters needed, just a hammer at the end.
This level is not bad. I started with a wrapped-striped combo to get rid of the keys on the first move. It's real hard not to destroy the chocolate spawner, but if you do and don't have any more chocolate to spawn on the sides, knock out one of the top two chocolate squares on either side, and additional candy will fall down for the remaining chocolate square to cover. Try not to disturb it until it covers sufficient candy to reach what you need. Note that I had to use a hammer to knock out one of the chocolate squares to make the candy fall.
Agreeing with all comments here...have 25 moves to get 55 chocolates....I cannot get enough chocolates to become visible to hit....and if I free the spawner, it becomes pretty useless because it gets hit on its own and blows up before it can spawn anything....I just don't understand how to get enough chocolates in the moves indicated....HELP!!! I'm open to your suggestions...
Well that was an annoying level, the first level which was hindered if you had a full space dash! After I lost my helmet I started with just a CB and a tick booster. Wasted lots of lives trying to win it without any booster first.
Then took me just 3 goes with the 2 boosters to finally get through this blasted level. Must be the only time I've managed to blow up the spawners without even trying, just when I didn't want to. The tick booster was the trick for me. That and try not to remove the chocolate from the bottom so that it can grow but that's easier said then done.
I've come quite close a few times (i.e. 5 chocolates left to collect) but still feels almost impossible without boosters.
I may just try with a tick booster and see if that gets me over the edge. Annoyed that I wasted boosters and used them in the wrong way the first time I played this level!

After this advice, did it first-time. I was doing it all wrong! I used a wrapped/striped booster and restarted the game until they appeared at the top therefore taking out the top chocolates and keys. After that just make sure you don't blow up the spawner!

This is impossible. No matter how carefull i be not to destroy the spawner too early they bloody thing just blows up too early ;(

Thanks Gil. Had to use a coupla of a hand swaps to get the wrapped and striped together at the top. The first move destroyed the spawner and almost all of the chocolate but a few were saved. After that, it just took very careful playing.
Difficult! Can't get close.
There is no skill to this game except the skill of knowing which boosters are more useful than others LOL. I no longer buy or use boosters. Eventually a lucky board will come and i take great delight in no longer being a funder of this game. Thats my only pleasure :D

What an absolute horror! Open the keys? Don't open the key, open the spawner? Don't open the spawner. No matter is you do open the spawner, it is going to blow up, so you might as well not bother. I'm ready to give this one up.

Good help.......keep resetting until you have a stripe wrapper combo in the top middle. Set it off, and it opens up the spawner. Let it grow chocolate 2 times, and then clear the chocolate.Good luck!!!!!

Just to be different! Didn't open the middle of the board at all. used the side chocolate only. careful not to lose all the bottom chocolate, and keep making a channel at the top if you get a chance. Make moves at the top whilst chocolate grows and then use whatever you've made to break it all down afterwards. It was close, but means no reliance on luck as much (ie blasted spawner blowing up all the time)

Yes!!! I was able to do this in a similar manner. Didn’t need to unlock a single key; this no need to deal with EVIL SPAWNER!! First time I tried doing keys; unlocked spawner but managed to destroy it also... fun level.. but prolly just lucky on my second try. Good Luck Crushers!!🍀🎉😊
My game hasn't spawned a single chocolate. The spawner doesnt produce them. 5 moves later still no more chocolate and a cascade knocked it out

Ha ha! I could see the smirking faces of coders on this level! Whereas the desired set up for almost every level is a high powered board with lots of boosters, it is the exact opposite on level 3040! Do as little damage as possible to avoid destroying the chocolate generator or wiping out chocolate at the bottom. Gently knock out chocolates on sides, use color bombs to eliminate colored keys to open the board. Don't go crazy until the chocolates left equal the numer you need to complete the game. Then you win! Thanks for the challenge, you tricksters!
I made the sprinkle combo error twice before I read the tips. I found this level much easier with a lucky candy (check) booster. Keep track of the number of chocolate on the board and play accordingly. Hope this helps.
