Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3497 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to collect countdown bombs to complete level 3497 and only have 14 moves to collect 45 bombs. This is an almost impossible task without boosters so it is a good idea to get a colourbomb and a stripe/wrap combo from the helmet or spacedash and get the colourbomb next to the stripe or wrap before you make a move. This should give you a good start in collecting the bombs.
The only way to collect enough bombs is to continue to make colourbombs and stripes or wraps, but this is not easy because the candy cane fences restrict the board quite a lot.
I did complete this level once using a colourbomb/stripe combo at the start but forgot to turn the recorder on so the only videos I have at the moment are for before the change when there were only 30 bombs needed.
I will replace the video when I have one.

I found a check mark booster really helped once I collected the initial bombs with a wrap cb combo. Since this is a task level, the quicker you collect the number needed, the less you have to worry about the bombs detonating.

The bombs are a freaking 8 moves on an Android. What absolute crap is King doing?
Maybe the check mark will help... Unfortunately, I have so few that I hesitate to waste one. I had a lucky cascade that wiped out most of the bombs, but I still needed many more. Not even coming close.

On PC app version, it's 45 bombs and the bombs now have a countdown of 6, with 14 moves. Seriously?
Mort's helmet and check mark booster. Reset until I had CB and wrap next to each other and there were lots of candies on the board same color as the wrap. I ended up using 10 of my gold bars to keep playing with 1 bomb left to collect, but I got past this nasty level.

Ok so I have a CB to start then I restarted the the board until I saw a possibility of another CB. I did three moves then used the two CB on two moves received another CB then I noticed I COMPLETED it. Wow.
On the board I have, the bombs have only 6 moves to start. Got lucky with 2 CB at the bottom and a wrap/stripe that didn't take out the bombs at the beginning. Saved the 2 CB until bombs down to 1, and it all sort fell into place.
Have started this level a few times using boosters but they still don't make much of a difference with those bombs on an 8 moves countdown ..posting for luck
Correction on the above comment ..just 6 moves for those pesky bombs not 8 !!! this level seems impossible !!!
These levels are designed to force us to use boosters multiple times before passing.
Horrible horrible frustrating level !!! ..this is my 3rd comment on this ( the 2 above comments so 3rd time lucky ) ..i have used boosters ..gold bars to get past this level & got down to needing just 1 bomb but had ran out of things to use !!!
Passed this level a few moves later after making the above 3 comnents ..not sure what happened as it was so quick but didnt use any boosters or gold bars so it can be done ..good luck to anyone stuck on this level as i thought it was the end of cc for me .
This may be the level that I quit candy crush. 14 moves to collect 45 bombs that have a countdown of 6. Impossible to pass.
Went to a lower easy level to collect color bomb stripped wrapped candy and +3 moves. Then I used 2 color bombs and restarted the game until the two CB were next to each other. I still needed a hammer for a bomb that was about to detonate but I did pass the level.

This game has a long time been nothing else but waiting for lucky boards. The King guys should understand that they make the players to quite more than buy boosters.

This game or certainly this complete level is just about making money, this has to be the worst ever run of levels I have had the displeasure of playing, would be stuck on levels for days on end! Time to put this game to bed as many others have done, more a case of driving your customers away! Not a smart strategy from King. I too had only 6 on bombs in 14 moves!

On the video the bomb countdown is 13, while now it's just 6. If you say that with 13 is impossible without boosters, what about 6? Not affordable to clear them with such a short countdown. This kind of levels make no fun. Please change it.

This is totally fake. The countdown on the bombs is 6 not 13. If you say it is impossible without boosters when they are 13 what possible hope have we got when they are 6???? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Further to my previous comment I have to say that I got the lucky board and passed without boosters. With a wrap/stripe combo that cleared 3 of the bomb lines and hit a cb. This gave a second cb that could match with a blue striped candy, having a lot of blues on the board. With that I was quite done but collected a third cb that was the final key. Incredible! I'm glad being rid of it. But King: please do not place such frustrating levels...

The King staff need to get off the drugs. I refuse to buy boosters to feed their habits. Cookie needs to get rid of the "without boosters" claim. That died weeks ago. Not playing until this level is fixed.

Thus whole episode has been about lucky boards and no thinking. Most of the levels were " no more moves, switching" that's not about skill. Very boring and absolutely frustrating, going back to poker game!

I just keep getting more and more licorice on top of the impossible fences. In cookies video she didn't have much new licorice drop. I have it drop a whole line every few moves it seems.

King, The games aren’t fun when there’s no chance of winning. What’s the ratio on this level? Play 50 games before you send a lucky board? I’ve started counting.

45 bombs in 14 moves...you people are truly insane. The bombs detonate after 10 moves and most of the time they hit 0 before you have a chance to use all of the whopping 14 moves. The candy cane fences are a joke and with constant licorice blocking the candy canes and everything else you can't get through to anything...even with combos nothing gets through. Making combos is a miracle and they rarely do anything because of all the blockers.
You are insane and cruel...just no more fun in this or your other games as you have destroyed them too - ridiculous goals and no moves to speak of..
If levels are being made so difficult to try and get people to spend money they should at least be possible for someone who has bought boosters it seems like you would have to spend a fortune to pass
This level. I refuse to spend money so will have to play this level time and time again.
Played more than 20 times and only got as far as the last move once without a bomb going off, the licorice is a nightmare as well unless you keep it under control no chance of passing and then too many moves used. If I did happen to have a colour bomb without being able to reset the board that would probably just get wasted.
Hooray had a superstar famous 5 team member who won all the boosters so I finished this level is there a way of thanking them?
