Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3846 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3846 is classified as a super hard level so you can expect to lose quite a few lives before you manage to pass it without boosters. You have to collect the ingredients as well as clear the jelly and you don't have many moves to do it.
There are two major issues with this level, one is the licorice which keeps dropping every time you make a move without clearing it and the other is the countdown bombs. The bombs have a fairly long countdown, but the moves soon run out if you aren't able to clear them in time.
If you are unable to make a move on the left side of the board at the start you are not going to have much chance of beating the bombs, so look to the left first and try to clear some of the licorice there before you go to the right side to start making moves.
The left side is the "bottom" of the board so making moves there is more likely to get cascades going, but if you don't clear any licorice with your moves you will get more licorice dropping from cascades.
The trick with level 3846 is to clear licorice when you switch your combos, that way you won't get any more dropping. If you switch a combo when there is no licorice beside it you will get loads more dropping, but if there is licorice next to the combo no more will drop.
Colourbombs will bring down loads of licorice, so think carefully when you switch them, if you have just cleared a lot of licorice you may be OK to switch the combo, but if you haven't you'll get loads dropping.
You need a fair amount of luck as well as careful playing to clear this level.
The ingredients are not a problem, they will drop down out of the exits as soon as they are unlocked and they should be unlocked by your combos as you clear the jelly.

Tks again cookie. Got it on my first try. The left side of board seams to be were you have to work from
2nd try! Started with saved CB, wrap/stripe combo and fish boosters. Finished with 9 moves left.
I think my game has a defect. Several times I have set off a wrap/stripe combo with no liqorice in the way, and it doesn't clear the cages on the apples nor a bomb on the other side of some candy canes. I thought the combo went through candy cane lines.
Thanks got it 1st try with your tips. CC now introduced Booster Bot which seems like space dash???

Got close (4 left) but the liquorice thwarted me. Only had 3 tries so far, but it's already clear that the comments above are correct about working on the left, if the liquorice lets you.
Got it after 5 with no boosters thanks to the advice above.

CB/CB and a fish...finished with 25 moves left. :-)
Maybe it's too difficult for King to create levels you can actually win by skill - so eventually they throw wraps and colour bombs at you so you pass the level. I'd rather work it out myself . . .

I cleared all the jelly, and all 5 cherries, but it said I still needed to remove one more cherry. There were no cherries left on the board!! A glitch? I used two lollipop hammers to remove the final two jellies, thinking I had just completed the level. Very disappointed, King.

Tired of playing these frustrating levels. Stop making CC King because the developers aren't being fair to the players. Just interested in money. I won't recommend this game because of this.
Think the time has come to move on to something different can't see any chance of doing this level without a lucky board but can I wait for one very frustating

Need luck. On this 4 days. Must be very different from braggers in 2p18 posting how easily they won. I've thrown so much at this and am always short. Guess I have to find a new game. Cant do this one sadly

It has become a matter of exactly how long will I have to play the same stupid level before the game allows me to move to the next impossible level. Gets boring!!!
