Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3977 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to clear the jelly to complete level 3977 Candy Crush Saga.
The main problem to clear this is the licorice as it will keep dropping from the top of the board.
The fish will help but you need a lot of them to do any good so making combos is essential.
Stripe/wrap combos are one of the best ways to get the numbers of fish needed to clear all the jelly and you should try to clear any licorice from around the floats so that your combos hit the maximum number of floats.
Another good way to get the jelly is by switching two colourbombs together if you can manage it, this will clear all the licorice and release loads of fish which will then target the uncovered jelly.
Each time the licorice is cleared you have one move before it drops again and fills up the top and bottom rows so if you can hit the floats in this one move you are guaranteed to clear at least some of the jelly.

completed this level 2 days ago....found it to be one of the most difficult levels in the entire game.. as soon as you clear the licorice ..top or bottom... the very next move the licorice comes back... finally got it down to 4 or 5 jellies.. and then it was gold coins and hammers...after about 20 tries..definitely an impossible level without boosters
Give us a break! CC Jelly level 707 is similar with bubble gum. It grows until two layers and there's a licorice but at least after two hits before It grows back It's gone. But you need three hits on 3977 to ensure it is cleared. Jelly gives you boosters (and Soda) that remain with you for two hours every day plus a few extra boosters. No need to scroll or feed frogs(606).

It's kind of sad that we can't ever play a level that doesn't require mega boosters to win. And even with all those boosters, it takes hours to finish one level. I have never had such difficulty completing episodes as I have for the last 5 or 6 episodes. As stated previously, this is an addiction. I really need to stop. time is a commodity that is precious and I am wasting it on this #@(*&*($@&*(& game. Happy thanksgiving all
Completed this level after carefully watching Cookie's video. Started with 2 CB's together (full SD) plus a fish booster. Tried to make as many matches as possible on the left or right side under the special candy dispenser, unless I could do a good combo in the middle. Had to use one hand switch, but made it with a few moves left. Horrible level.

On this for 2 days, the above tip helped, with full build a bot, started with CB/CB, added a fish booster,done with 10 moves to spare! Happily moving on 😀

I tried combining cb's, & other tips!! Again it's another impossible level!! I don't know why it's not listed that way!!! You need boosters!! Or extra moves!! Coincidentally there's a sale on a piggy bank filled with gold bars, needed to buy extra moves!! And you definitely need a lucky board!
Very nasty level... Need a lucky board...
First try, got down to one square...used my free spin & hit 15 extra moves. Still took most of those. The trick is to make combos that hit 4 of the spawners at once, and then get lucky enough to cut more fish loose on the next move...

Wow, and I thought 3975 sucked? At least I could get that nasty level down to 1 jelly on a fairly consistent rate before finally getting a lucky board, after a couple days of frustration. This one is a new exorcise of patience. WTF

Finally did it after sd. Reset until cb2cb to start with a fish booster. 1 move left at the end
As you have one move before the licorice comes back the only chance is to have two combinations in a row.
I did it with a stripe/stripe combo that cleared all the licorice and in the next move a wrap wrap combo near one of the floaters that did the rest.
But of course you need a lucky board for that.

After struggling for days on this horrible level, I finally passed. It is impossible without fish boosters, and I was lucky enough to have 2 hours of fish plus 2 hours of wrap/ stripe boosters. Add this to a lucky board, and, quite an unexpected surprise, a party thing at the end that just blasted the jellies I had left, and that was done.
So, have hope, you will finish this level, just be patient. And luckily, the next four levels are much easier :)

It seems that if a fish eats a licorice there will be one move without a licorice falling and filling the space. However, if we hit a licorice with a stripe a licorice falls immediately.
I won 30 min. of free CB this morning. I had a CB brought forward from the last level I completed. When the board opened I was able to use a Switch Hand to put the two CB beside each other. As Cookie suggested, I combined the two CB. Even with that great first move I couldn't get anywhere near clearing the board.

So I obviously need to post for luck because I am getting nowhere! My biggest frustration is that I have gotten down to one square left to uncover, but there are no moves to be had that will allow me to hit it. Then the licorice drops. Well over a hundred games played, and I don't see an end in sight. I even had the pinata from the presents booster, and that wasn't enough to finish off a nearly clear board.
I am a candy crush addict, but I refuse to spend money on boosters!!!!!

Sage here: crushing candies is making me sad because of all the changes. Yes I oftentimes I buy my way through levels. I’m a senior it’s my handicap. That’s not why I’m sad. I’m sad because my go to bundle is now $9.99. It was $6.99. Sure they added additional boosters for an additional hour and I guess it works if you don’t mind paying $3 to play with them and have the time. Also the piggy bank was another go to and it changed from the choice to fill to 60 gold bars to only 30. What’s a senior on fixed income to do? I’ve really slowed down. No longer eager to play. No longer a member of the Wednesday club. I’m sad. Does posting for luck still work?

Gotta agree with everyone else....this board is insane. One lucky combo to partially clear some of the liquorice and then hoping for another immediate combo to maybe clear a few jellies before its all back again the very next move? You need massive amounts of boosters, plus a lucky board, just to have a chance of getting close.

Maybe they made it easier? I passed on 1st try. Normally don’t read here unless I’m having trouble but got it mixed up w/level before. So, when I was down to 9 moves and only 2 jellies left I used my last 2 hammers to finish. Was worried they’d get covered w/licorice and require 4 hammers, which I did not have. Since I had read all the yuck above, I was not interested in getting stuck here...

First try and 8 jellies left. No fun levels in this episode. Hope that King gives me a lucky board. I have a feeling that I need over 10 tries before I passed this level.
Rough level, I eventually passed by hitting as many floats as possible, and heavy hitting combos on the side jellies. Once those jellies are cleared, if you can hit the floats with a combo, then lots of fish appear and you eventually reduce the number of jellies (more fish than the licorice blockers). It takes LOTS of hits, but eventually happens. Happy crushing, friends!

I focused on taking advantage of the stripe dispensers. Used the conveyors to get the stripes into position to hit the floats. Was able to get down to 5 jelly left but they were in the top and bottom rows. So, I used my one precious UFO which cleared 3 of the jelly with 2 wraps and the third next to a float. The fish cleared the last two. Good luck Crushers!

Someone said you can't pass without boosters. Well I have played 40 rounds with boosters to no avail so why would I buy more. Insanity reigns. It has become a "let's just see how much time or games doesit take to get thru this one"
