Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4030 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4030 is a score level and not an easy one! You have to score 150,000 points in only 14 moves.
The only way to get this score is by making colourbombs, lots of them. You need at least 5 or 6 colourbombs to get anywhere near the score needed.
Don't waste moves collecting the keys, they are useful to open up the board and give you more space to work on making colourbombs, but they can be collected with the combos and colourbombs you make.
Use colourbombs on the colour that has most candies on the board, or if there is a pattern that would leave another colourbomb on the board, don't switch two colourbombs together, you will get more points by switching them one at a time.
Switching a colourbomb with a stripe or a wrap may give you more points but it will not help in making more colourbombs as it will "mess" up the board.
There is no need to clear the chocolate on the right, it will not help with your score and it can't move onto the main part of the board, there is one key that drops from the dispenser in the right column, but you can collect it using a combo or a colourbomb.
This is an extremely hard level to complete with only 14 moves but if you start the level with a colourbomb booster it may help to give you a good start.

Not hard. Finished on the first try with 3 stars and over 317,000. Start with space dash and a color bomb selected so that at the beginning already you have 3 colour bombs. The keys are useful because they will open up the board more and give you more space/ possibility of making colour bombs. You need to make at least 6. This level cascades a lot. The colour bombs may even form by themselves or without you trying. Also with space dash or booster bot you get 3 extra moves making it 17. If you don't have it play 7 easier old levels and get it. I tried this tip, didn't work for me. Yes I used 6 color bombs. My best score was 94,000

When I played this game I only had 14 moves verses the video with 20. I think we should always have the same amount of moves, otherwise it’s not a fair version.
Full stocking plus CB booster and followed Cookie's advice and concentrated on hitting the candy with the most colored,candies on the board. Forget hitting the chocolate. I left a lot of wraps to sit at the bottom and the last cascade when I matched a CB with a plain candy took it over the top.
Made 7 colourbombs but couldn't pass the level. Last score was 149342!! Poor me!
Stuck on this level for 3 days!
Able to start with full build a bot, with 0 moves left, got the spin for 15 extra moves, finished with double score needed, luck on the 1st try!

Scored 149 500 at first attempt !!! and then couldn’t get closer to 100 000!
I was getting no where using full bot & CBs so decided just to try with no boosters had to use wheel at end to get 5 extra moves done 😀

I was having great difficulty with this level. Very hard. Started with a full bot and recommended boosters plus whatever I got on the wheel spin. Tried to make CB whenever possible. I’ve been stuck for days. Today I went in with no boosters. Played the level and didn’t even try to make CBs. Go figure. I passed the level. So, I’m going to say you need a lucky board. Don’t waste your boosters.

It is just not possible to reach that target score. King can jolly well go screw themselves
I don't think it's fair that people playing on PC don't have a chance to get boosters anymore from winning a game or playing for sugar drops. The game should be the same no matter what device you're playing on.

The tip is correct, but in fact the only way to pass this is by a lucky board and lots of cascades.
Tried several times with full boosters and extra CB, still only got to 138k.
Even 7 CBs are not always enough.
Another shitty level, so just keep on keeping on...
Another crap target level. You’re not going to win until King decides you’re going to win. Don’t waste your boosters.

Freaking ridiculous how much of a bullshit game this has turned into. I'm playing less and less these days.
I think I had the lucky board... I built up stripes, wraps and CBS. When possible I didn’t play them. After the last move, the special candies all played. I spun the wheel and got 5 moves. I made a stripe with each move and all 5 played at the end of the game making enough points to win. Stupid level.

This level is horrendous. Closest I have been was the first time I tried it and that barely over 100k. Rest of the time i can't get over 50k. This absolutely sucks. As a matter of fact, these past 2 episodes have been nothing but losimg until King decides to give you a lucky board.

I am sure this is easy if you have space dash and reset ability...not all of us have that anymore...makes the game very difficult...I have been playing and going for the keys but now know that was a mistake...thank you cookie. Will give it another try

I don't have any bots or space dash or any other stuff like that.
I tried for a long time by making colour bombs, as per Cookie's advice (The only way to get this score is by making colourbombs, lots of them.) and what had worked on other levels.
It definitely is not the only way.
Instead I tried to just blast everything as many times as possible. I started with a wrap/stripe together and then just get making wraps/stripes whenever I could and setting them off. I didn't make any colour bombs and I passed easily.
Hope this helps others who never got any special advantages. All levels are possible without those boosters.

Keep dreaming cookie . I activated 7 colour bombs and only got 60,000 points . How much is king paying you to write this crap ?
Forget about making colour bombs . I agree with the last comment . I had 6 colour bombs and scored only 50,000 points . I found they don’t give you enough points with so few moves . The secret to passing this level is to collect the keys and open up the right side with all the chocolates . This will cause many cascades and in return give you the colour bombs you need without you having to waste moves making them and this will give you the points you need . Worked first try after I realised I was not going to get enough points making colour bombs .

ridiculous, tiresome, monotonous level. Another case of King using the phrase "hard level" when they should be using the term "bullshit level." It's not "hard," it's just passing time until their algorithm decides it's time to advance you. Who QCs this garbage anyway?
Agree with above. Sometimes can only make one coloyrbomb, yet several times made 6 and still no good. Every level is hard even if not marked so. Wondering why I even try this game anymore 😞

Agree with a previous poster who stated the key was to focus on opening up the right side. It worked like magic, and I finished on the first try.

After getting nowhere on my own, checked cookie's tips and switched to focus on CBs. Still got nowhere so checked the more recent comments here. Switched back to focus on getting all keys quickly to clear chocolate (= cascades = points), WHILE trying to get lots v of CBs. Started with no boosters but able to make CB on first move. Used one switch booster. Somehow hit 238k! Luck + persistence + this blog - thanks all!

This is the most difficult level in CC that I have encountered in a very long time. There is no skill required to pass this level. The options need to be available, and on the majority of play efforts, they are not. I finally passed with the lucky board and Cookies advice. Those who brag about passing on the first go will be confused as we race by them on the next tough level. Dont get too discouraged. It's all luck. Just stick it out and persevere. You will make it at some point.

This one is very hard. I tried the top poster as far as not worrying about the keys but going nowhere with that strategy. Will try some other ideas I found on here.
Forget color bombs. Go for every wrap or stripe you can and the cascades will come. They will get the keys, get the chocolates, and get the points.
Need to fix isn't like the video.nothing like it.fix fix fix.

Impossible! This level is completely ludicrous. This might finally be the one that makes me stop playing. No fun, just frustrating.
Read the blog. It says you need 5-6 CB's. Well, that's all good if you can get the freakin cbs!! Suppose just waiting for a lucky board!

As stated in the comments above, samething happened to me on several occasions. Not enough moves to complete this game. I wish people would not state how easy a game is this is why King change the number if moves hence making it difficult for other players. LUCKY BOARD PLEASE JUST GIVE US A BREAK.

After seven years, this may be the level that makes me delete Candy Crush. Been here forever. Not fun at all.
I have gotten quite close but didn't quite get I-the other thing you can do is wait the end of game then let the candy bombs explode unless you have opportunity to hit CB with wrapped-stripped combo-good luck!!!

I guess I might be done with cc because playing this level and getting no where close is getting very boring. I have got 100,000 just once. What a load of crap.
Looks like this is the one to do me in. Have used many boosters, tried all the tips and have only come close to 100,000 a few times. Not enough moves to get points. Using many CBs on board and getting only a few thousand per. Just impossible. Have made it through many, many seemingly impossible boards but knew i would conquer them. Not this one. Sad because I do enjoy playing, but time to find a new game.

HELP, stuck here for many days. Not even close. Boosters are not helping. Hate these levels where you need to rely on pure luck. Praying for a lucky board.
All of you who have gotten this far should know NOT to use color bombs in a score level except for destroying timebombs. You have to try to DESTROY THE COLOR BOMB ITSELF IN A CASCADE WITH OTHER SPECIAL CANDIES. Another general tip for a score level is to concentrate on making many special candies especially color bombs near the end of the game WITHOUT SETTING THEM OFF. I have completed this level with 14 moves without boosters with a very lucky cascade at the end of the game which generated about 50000 out of the 150000 points needed.
