Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4038 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4038 Candy Crush Saga is a multi task level, you have to collect blockers, licorice and wrapped candies to complete the level.
The licorice is locked down each side, so you need to collect the keys to unlock it, but don't waste moves just trying to collect the keys, work on clearing the blockers and making colourbombs and wraps and if you can switch them together better still as it will give you more of the wraps you need as well as clearing loads of blockers.
Once you have everything unlocked there are three UFO's which will help collect some of the wrapped candies and also any licorice that remains on the board.
The moves have been reduced slightly but the level is still possible without boosters. The video starts with 30 moves but shows the strategy involved in completing the level and with 6 moves remaining I only needed one more wrapped candy so I think if moves had been less I would have been able to make the final wrap.

This one is a bit hard, but enjoyable to me for some reason. I hope I pass it soon, but I'm having fun.
In hundreds of tries ive only got 1 key, combos wont release the next. ?????????????

I’ve been on this level over a week now! Hundreds of try’s and only managed to collect 2 keys! Absolutely ridiculous, as it’s not even classified as a hard level... Bored to death, doesn’t anyone proof check these levels?!? No fun, so no more... Bye Felicia!!

"Dont waste moves collecting keys" The keys are key to beating the board are are near impossible to get with the new amount of moves. Even focusing on them its difficult to get even one!

Just can't see how this level is possible to complete? Have tried so many times it's ridiculous and haven't even been able to clear the keys!! Posting for luck as its my only hope

Another tough level. I had full space dash (2 color bombs, 2 striped candies, 2 wrapped candies, and 3 extra moves) and struggled. I played a few times, finally passing when I luckily hit +5 extra moves on the wheel after failing again. The tips by cookie and in the comments helped me, thanks again everyone, and happy crushing!
This is far from an easy board...waiting again for a lucky board or I’m not passing :-(
Another frustrating level. Tried at least 30 times, but can't get close to getting all the licorice. Finally figured out how to get the keys sometime, but it's very hard. Not enough moves.

This level must be a joke. Impossible to get the Keys with stripes, only with colourbombs if their colour. Wasted 5 hammers but dar Seat if requested boms. WTF?????????
Still stuck. Impossible to collect the Keys, and the few times I was able to collect them all, impossible to get necessary wraps. I'm fed Up of this. King are cheatters, nothing more. You want to steal our money by making this kind of levels. Just a lottery.
Too many of these impossible boring levels. No thinking required. I need a lucky board. Only way. Meh.

Play a colourbomb with a wrap from the same colour as the key right under. With some luck it will detonate a saucer. Good luck

As per comment above, impossible to get keys with anything other than colour bombs - fat chance with this pathetic number of moves !! You need about 4 cbs to get what you need & release the ufos . Also Any cb I make ends up next to the wrong colour so i waste more moves manoeveting candy to release key I want . Tedious and badly designed level !!

Really struggling only got keys cleared twice then to many envelopes left before moves run out. Only a lucky board will do this but how long will that be I wonder
King is trying to discourage us and steer us to its newer games.
I hate when you so called smart guys make the games so hard. The motto is relax and play. Yea right. Got all I could but then the candy didn't show up to distory. What's up with that. Has happened several times. If they are not there then I can't get them. Duh.
I had to use a hand swap before the last move to get a CB and wrap together but I'm done.

Anybody tried firing off a few UFOs in the first few moves? I would do it, but I've only got a couple of UFOs and I don't want to waste them all.
It seems to me like it would take out the keys pretty quick and then you clear the board and get enough wrapped candies, which is what's been keeping me from winning.
I've come close a a few times, but I always end up with like 12 wrapped candies left to get.
Also, I haven't used any boosters yet. Does putting in the starting boosters help at all?
I'm so tired of these boards having 50 comments, and 47 of them are people saying "posting for luck" or "this board is impossible." It would be nice to see something constructive and helpful once in awhile...
The combos don't break the licorice or blockers on the sides to release keys. Not enough moves. I don't expect all the levels to be easy but I do expect the moves to do what they've done the entire rest of the game. Add to that, inability to build space bot any longer means I'm blowing through boosters like crazy.
The last levels were all “hard”, running short on patients.
This level I am not even close, impossible to get last key in time to win the level. Please help

I am still trying to beat this! I have no idea how to pass this without gobs of boosters. I still need help, if I don't get some soon, I'll have to quit.
This level os a joke, I was able to clear all the keys, I got all the licorice and blockers required. Was able to activate all the ufos and I still wasn't able to get all the wrapped candies.
