Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4190 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4190 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level and I am not sure that it is possible to complete without boosters. It is a dual task level, you have to collect one cherry and clear all the jelly to complete the level.
You can forget about the cherry, it will drop down to the exit as soon as the blockers are cleared from the outer columns of the board.
I would suggest you start with a colourbomb and stripe/wrap boosters and also a jellyfish booster to give you the best start. Once you begin to clear the blockers you will uncover two dispensers near the bottom of the board that will give you stripes and wraps, these combos can be used to clear the bottom row of blockers.
You will need some powerful combos to clear the jelly so look for chances to make colourbombs and switch them with a stripe or a wrap to try to clear the blockers and jelly.
The hardest part I found once you begin to clear the blockers, is to see where the remaining jelly is, the portals down each side glow so that it is almost impossible to see which portals have jelly left in them.
It is possible that adjusting the brightness of your screen may help with the glowing portals.
There are no videos available at the time of writing without boosters so I will add one with boosters so that you can see how it can be done. I will try to change the video if one becomes available, or if I manage to make one.

For some reason it was very hard for me to see what jellies still needed to be cleared. The board is too busy.
I just won this difficult game and it took me right Back to it, did not let me go to the next game. Problem needs to be corrected.
My apology, it looked like I needed one more, it shows one more but after winning it again, it indicated I was finished with this set. It didn’t do that the first time I win,
Yet again a frustrating level... Adding the boosters at the beginning is not much help.. Jellies are covered with licorice and are not shown .. Shall I get a lucky board ?

Yes the glow making it difficult to see the jelly is very annoying. I suggest you try to avoid clearing the top left blocker for as long as possible, so you don't have to deal with all the licorice.

Okay, the way I beat this was to start with two colour bombs then make as many combos as I could until I had about 7 moves left. I then used the ‘party booster’ that left 5 jellies. Same as others here, the remaining ones were not easily identifiable, but, when you select a toffee hammer, the board dims so that it’s a lot easier to see them. I hit the last ones so that the licorice didn’t fall. Sorted.
Nightmare level. Nightmare trying to see where the jellies are. Changing settings on phone didn't help. Twisted mind needed to come up with these levels...

I got down to 2 jellies left. I would have used the hammers if I could figure out where to use them. Not fun.

Use a fish booster. The fish will find and attack the jellies even if you cannot see them. For some reason, the squares with jellies don't blink in this ldvel.
I have to work on 3 episodes today because the pointer did not advance to 4146 last week. I almost completed all the levels on the first go except 4151, 4165, and 4183, one on each episode, but I passed themm on the second try.

I guess I got lucky on this one. I used two cb but then got all the licorice, but was able to get some other combos and occasional cbs. Fish definitely helped but half the time they just removed licorice. I used a hammer to clear one of the last jellies. I wasn’t sure where the last one was, but luckily a cb was activated and it eliminated the last jelly. I had more trouble with the first episode.and used quite a few hammers and switches. The second episode was better and for me, not as hard. I hope everyone had a great New Year’s eve. See you next Wednesday.
Oh... Finally could clear it with the help of a party booster and five extra moves.. It was a clear fluke, because the last two jellies were not visible.. Activated a stripe wrap combo .. and Bingo.. last two jellies were gone.., No more such ridiculous levels please.. We don't enjoy them.. they just increase our stress levels...
the key with this level is if you get to the last 1 or 2 jellies activate the hammer booster and that will highlight the last jelly ...this was a very tough level simply because you couldn't see the last level..I completed this level a week ago ..and that brings me to my bigger point...the Wednesday club is under attack...because of the buddy challenge i no longer get a double episode on Wednesday..instead i get a single one every 2 days..so i just completed 2235...i love not getting a double but the 4 episodes a week is very booster draining...plus ...the tips are not there..and it really screws up the Wednesday routine of playing CC once a week

I found it was best to leave the cherry in its spot and clear most of the jellies without all the licorice. Then a combo worked to flush out the cherry and s but more jelly. Hammers finished it off. A very tough level even with boosters because you couldn’t see the remaining jelly unless you pulled up a hammer.
Besides the last level the last two episodes were pretty good. Wasted five hammers and three switches on the last level. That hurts. Until Wednesday.

I completely finish this level start with space dash 2 cb together finish with 2 hammer you need to put your screen very bright to see which jelly eliminates extremely hard level but the greatest finishes 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Third time I started with CB combo and tried to clear as many of the side separate jellies as possible before the licorice started dropping. I used several swaps and used up all my 3 hammers. Once again tried to clear individual licorice before hammering, but wasted one hammer on a licorice I thought had a jelly, but it didn't. Got down to one jelly and no more hammers, so used a piñata to finish. Now glad to relax for a few days since this is the end of the trail on iPad. It’s changed! No liquorice! Now it is possible!
Difficulty level has plummeted. Now just a tricky level. The blockers on the side sections are now 1 layer of waffle and no liquorice cascades down. Had 3 goes and got to 2 jellies needed with no boosters at all. Can I have my 6 hammers back I used on Wednesday evening 😂
The phone version doesn't seem to bad now. I tried it once with no boosters and got down to just one jelly left. The Windows 10 app version is still the same with lots of licorice.

Start with full sock or at least CBxCB combo. Use fish booster!
Game has changed, no licorice, got it on the 1st go with 17 moves to spare, was able to start with CB combo, added fish as suggested above, til Wednesday...
I did it on my first try with a full sock and a fish booster, and found it quite easy. Just did it again with only one CB and a fish booster, and again finished with moves to spare. I don’t think this level should even be rated as hard, much less hideously difficult.
still not getting through, no more hammers or hands left, windows 10 version still have all licorice dropping and i only have cc on my laptop

I always hate when people post that they passed a difficult level on the first try... but that's what I'm going to say now. I must have had the very lucky board. Started with full bot and selected all the extra boosters. Started with 2 CBs and that opened up the board. Kept getting stripe/wrap combos. Got everything except 1 jelly and like everyone said, there is no way to tell which jelly remains. That is extremely annoying. I had one jelly remaining, only 2 moves left and a stripe/wrap at the bottom. I matched it and blew up the board. All I could do was watch for the check mark to cover the jelly at the top of the board to say the game was over. Got it. Very happy after reading how terrible this level is. Not fair to not be able to see what jelly remain.
I started with double cb and fish booster. When I got down to needing 2 jellies I was lucky enough to activate fish boosters and it went straight to jelly needed.

With all the negative comments here, I decided to use the pinata I got from passing level 4,000 when I was down to 12 jellies, all in the outside colomns. Done with 12 moves to spare, first try. Hope I haven't wasted it.
There have been very few comments on levels since so many moved to the Facebook site.
Having 44 comments here pretty much sums up how difficult this level is.
I made a chart of the outside columns.
I checked off each one as I hit it.
When I got near the end the counter told me I still needed 9
According to my chart, and being able to see the inner spaces, I thought I only needed 4
I could not find the other 5
If it is impossible for vision healthy people to see what spaces need to be hit then how much more difficult it must be for people with vision issues.
This one clearly needs to be modified.
Holy gee, after reading all the above comments, I thought I would be another three days trying to finish this level, but I did it first try. How? I have absolutely no idea because indeed, there is no way to see which candy is the last jelly. I tried dimmming the light, but saw nothing that helped. I was lucky to be able to switch candies and make a wrap/candy and that took care of business. Finally, only luck will help for this level.

Need a lucky board, very often 2 left but I don't know where.
I had 2 color bombs on my board and a hammer. 2 moves left, I has to guess which color I was going to hit.
Of Course I choose the wrong colour...
I played many levels starting with all the socks filled......

Re the brightness of the remaining jellies, if you touch the hammer booster, the jellies still to hit will flash and look much brighter. I started with all boosters and needed 1 jelly and 1 move left and by selecting the hammer i could see which one to hit.
So p____d off with this game, tried numerous times to complete this level, no bot boosters, used boosters I had, got closest I'd ever been, 6 moves left, 1 jelly to get, couldn't see it!! Tried adjusting screen brightness, still couldn't see it, minimised game to read tips, when I went back to it page said 'game loading' wtf!!!

Did u reach the target score. Have had this happen to me once or twice on early levels and it turned out i didnt reach target score but completed ither task
As has been already mentioned, just tap on the hammer and it dims the board to show where the jellies are. It really works! :-)

Absolutely rediculous Level. There is no way this can be done within 22 moves. I’m fed up with this game. Frustrating and unfair. Waste of valuable time and energy.

Ask brightness on phone didn’t help much. U can tell on the orange candies if there is jelly there. However the others u can’t tell. However with one or two jellies left and hammers, the game will tell.u where to hit the remaining jelly once u activate the hammer. Got me the last jelly with one move left. And it was not where I thought it would be!!

On my version it is waffles on the sides, not blockers. Waffles drop into the bottom right slots, making it a bit more challenging.

If you have a hammer booster, click on it but not to use it. It will illuminate the candies you have left. Soon this level the remaining candies were outlined in white. Hope this helps.
Agreed, I changed the brightness level, but was showing one block, but none were lit as a candy left. Then finished and still on this level. Very frustrating.

I have been trying to pass this level for days. Even with free play all week I can’t pass. I have gotten down to 1 jelly a few times but for the life of me I can’t find it. I even have lollipops to hit it with! Very very frustrating. Please fix this issue

June 2020 the board is totally different for level 4190 and impossible to pass without boosts. since all levels are so hard now and unless you buy boosts as boosts are so hard to get now im starting to think i may never pass this level.
