Hints and tips showing how to pass level 4990 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 4990 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it. This is a jelly level with two cakes to help to clear the jelly.
I think this level is possible without boosters as I have got down to needing only 1 jelly to complete, but it is certainly a very hard level.
Try to make the first move in the middle to uncover the licorice so that it can drop down from between the two cakes. This will make it easier to clear the cakes as you can remove the licorice as it drops. Once you do this you should concentrate on clearing the cakes. The cakes will clear a lot of the blockers and crystal candies. Colourbomb combos will be the best way to clear the cakes, either colourbomb/stripe or double colourbomb combos are the best as they will hit the most cake sections.
The hardest jellies to clear are the ones in the bottom as these have the thickest blockers and are harder to get candies into. For this reason any chance you have of clearing these squares should be taken, you might not get another chance.
You might find a jelly fish booster is helpful for this level. I will try to add a booster free video as soon as one is available

Unfortunately the fish didn’t help me because none showed up after the initial board.
Anyone feel like Candy Crush just isn't "Fun" anymore with all of these changes ??? or is it just me? Levels are too hard and no boosters given on any platform....I could not care less if you give me Fish or Coconut Ball for 10 minutes ! I want them to use as I need them.
I felt just like you, Thresa, and others who have expressed frustration (or worse) with the latest King changes. For some reason, after a few weeks of only winning timed boosters, yesterday all my sugar drop booster winnings were the savable kind. Same today (so far). I have no idea why it happened. But I tell you this because it may change back for you soon as well!! I hope so!!
Elektra, I was hoping you were right but I tried my phone and my PC and both are still only giving "Timed" boosters. Not worth my time. Even the daily calander only gives timed boosters. I used to try and play at least 2 hours morning and evening to get Boosters for the next Wednesdays levels.......Do you know of other games that are some what like Candy Crush that I can try?? Thanks. By the way what happened with the "Send Lifes" button now you can only send 1 life at a time or go to "My Account"???
Extremely hard and frustrating. Takes too many moves to clear the blockers. Ready to move on.

Horrendous level. Not enough moves. Luckily I got a free spin and got 5 extra moves. Still needed a switch and two lollipops to finish. Glad to be done! Good luck.

Where are the stripes and wraps that the dispensers are supposed to dispense? The dispensers in the attempts I've made on this level have been disfunctional.

Definitely a nightmare of nightmare levels . They have entirely too much going on here . Breaking the cakes breaking through the layers of ice and cream and licorice and jelly . Along with very confined spaces . I know I’ve said it before but this game is just no longer fun I think this might be where I get off the ride . Like everyone else says the time boosters they’re just ridiculous I don’t need 10 minutes of something. I prefer to build up my boosters and use them as I need them . Half the time I earn boosters that are not even relevant to the level that I’m on much if the time those boosters go to waste . If I don’t finish this level by tomorrow I think I’m done . My goal is to make it to 5000 levels but king is pretty much making it virtually impossible

Another Holy cannoli level from CC.....I've been playing this level for a couple of days. Not even close to winning.
Start with dbl cb if you can, gives you a great start, I also added fish booster and completed level (3rd go)

I got so fed up with this stupid level...when I got lucky and was able to actually get both cakes (near impossible), I used 2 saucers and a lollipop to get the remaining jelly at the bottom. Good riddance! Not a fun level.

You're right Thresa. Anymore candy crush is not challenging. It's just play until they decide to give you a lucky board. I've been on this level for days and I find myself playing less and less each day.

Good tip to make sure you make your first move in the middle of the board to start getting rid of the liquorice, otherwise you will struggle. Best I have done so far with no boosters (used them all up trying in this level!) is 2 jellies left. Need that VERY lucky board!
Wow, this is the WORST level I've ever played. Not enough moves and too many obstacles. A lucky board is needed since there really is no real skill involved. The best I got after days of trying is 2 jelly's left. UGH!!

Thats a first. Almost one week stucked in this level. I spent the few boosters i had and the closer i got were 16 pieces left. The only way would be the golden bars, that i dont have and wont buy. Or a huge lucky board. Please
