Hints and tips showing how to pass level 5040 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 5040 Candy Crush Saga is a multi task level, you have to clear the spawners, collect the crystal candies and clear the jelly to complete the level.
If you concentrate on making wraps and combos and work on clearing the jelly, everything else will follow. The only hard thing about this level is that you can't see the colours of the candies under the crystal candies at the start of the level, so you will have to look very carefully at the board before every move.
Treat this as a jelly level and make as many powerful combos as you can to blast away at everything on the board. Doing this will clear everything and complete the level.

Yes it is impossible to pass
This is the 2nd level running where people have said it is "impossible" to pass. I achieved both this and the previous level on the first attempt. Either I am getting some lucky boards, or people aren't using the appropriate strategies to get the levels.
These levels are just not fair when you can’t see what is under the stupid tiles, I wish they would get rid of these things altogether. Praying for a lucky board please. Thank you🤗

It was a horrid horrid level. I'd just about given up. Then I discovered the return of Space Dash so I added a few boosters. And, on my tablet, the whatshisnames sprinkle/colour bomb thing was active. So I quickly got a score to come first in that and, thank goodness, when I went back to the level it started with two CBs side by side. The level pretty well did itself after that and I'm very glad to be moving on. Good luck to you all. May a lucky board drop from the skies!
Difficult to see when you’re old & it seems impossible
Looks like a money making level for CC. Really hard to even get close enough to tempt me to spend any money. I love playing candy crush but this level makes me feel defeated.

Achieved this one one 3rd try, no boosters. Single wrapped were easy to make and those created cascades, with all kind of opportunities for sprinkle combos. Maybe it was a lucky board, but it shows it’s possible.

Candy crush King has officially lost their minds with this level they have gone into a realm of of crazy that I can’t even begin to imagine with this crazy impossible insane level p! nowhere near enough moves entirely too much going on you can hardly see the board this is crazy !! Definitely the level that’s going to make me finally quit this stupid game ! I’ll give it to Sunday if I’m not pass it by this Sunday I’m done. Their souls have become ugly and dark and evil with this level

Finding this so frustrating and it literally gives me a headache due to straining my eyes trying to see what is under the clouded tiles. Only 16 moves to collect 76 tiles??? You're having a laugh.

Looks like I'm going to be on this level for a few weeks. Will play just to get some boosters. I can't see the colors and am only playing the hints given to me by the game. I hate that but I have no choice cos I can't see the bloody colors! Ugh

I have played all day again...have had a few free boosters but nothing to go with them...once things started moving and might have won if I had a few hammers...now it is back to getting nothing..have over 80 items to get nearly every game...and I know how to make wraps...just no chance to...pfl

This level is sheer madness. There’s no way one can get through all the crystals, jelly and time clocks with all the other obstacles in the way. Never mind not being able to see through the crystals. I think King have finally lost the plot and I’m not wasting anymore time on this!
I played yet another 15 or so attempts, (just in case I got lucky), but this level, with its current few moves, leaves me wondering who will ever pass it. I can’t come anywhere close to doing so. I really can’t be bothered to play something so ridiculously impossible in the hope that I move onto another level which will no doubt also be so futile. CC used to be fun, sadly not anymore.

It took me almost 3 freakin days to pass the previous level that was easy according to some players. And now you get this...another insane level that is impossible to pass. What a "game" this is. I already lost interest in this level and i didnt play it that often...yet. Because it is ridiculous and discouraging. Nobody wants to play levels lime this. How come we get them time after time? 👎👎👎👎👎
Impossible for the partially sighted/visually impaired who have struggled this far. These crystal mazes are such hard work on the eyes. Time to find a game I can at least see. Made it this far but now beyond my eyes. Bye🤓😭..
The best and cheapest solution I came up with (after wasting all manner of expensive boosters) was to start with a color bomb and immediately take out the best color you can. Usually it will open up another color bomb and I systematically removed colors to optimize the ability to make another. The fish helped take out the chocolate and the distant jelly.

so sad King changes boards on us. Extra caners and chocolate propping up? How is one suppose to pass this? Please fix this board, this is utterly abusive.
I agree, you are only able to do the moved CC suggest because you can't see what's underneath!!
You use tons of boosters and play on at least 3 devices. Don't get a big head.
I recommend turning your brightness all the way up. Also, if you move any candy into a crystal space, you can briefly see the color of the candy under the crystal. A third option is to just keep trying to match any adjacent candy with the crystal squares. It doesn't cost you any moves and sometimes you'll get lucky and find a CB or other special candies. Good luck!
In case you haven't noticed them, there are 4 fishing floats: in the center space of the top and bottom rows and the center space of the first and last columns.
El Beatle, go back and try it now with triple chocolates, tons of candy curls, and reduced moves. Oh, and forget all your boosters. There's no more sugar drops, bot is a joke. You can't build it up by going to earlier levels, the rewards are reduced and you lose the whole bot if you fail once. Oh, and no reset. Good luck passing it now.
This level is just plain ridiculous, only 15 moves and no planning a strategy when you cant even see more than half the candies. WTF candy crush get it together

Not possible unless king decides you are going to get it. As is, 16 moves cannot cut it! A complete waste of time and energy to play this game. I’m deleting it as thousands of players have already. It’s a con game.

I don't believe anyone did it on the first go. I just swipe at random hoping to find one of those hidden candies. Don't you care that we can't see them easily? And surely the number of complaints and the nature of them should give you a clue

Can't make special candies often and when I do there's nothing to mix them with. Barely have I ever exploded more than 2 of the spawner things, I get bogged down with chocolate and once have uncovered one of the fish floats but not been able to hit it. Roll on lucky board....I'm bored!

Getting sick of this. Played over 100 times and not even close. It’s like candy crush is having problems financially so they aren’t letting anyone pass levels without buying crap. All of the fun bonuses and extras are gone too. Looks like time to find another time waster!
I'm finding this level impossible to play. I don't mind difficult levels and don't mind some taking a few days to pass but this one is awful. I can't see under the crystals and by the time I'm able to start making special candies I have only a couple of moves left. The chocolate is awful too. I'm hoping that I get a very lucky board as I genuinely think this is the one that'll stop me playing.

Without any reservations, I can say this is the absolute worst level! 16 moves, chocolate, crystals where you can’t see the colors, and the curls make this an impossible level. Should be rated a nightmarishly hard level. I actually like some of the challenging levels where you have to use strategy, but this one is pure luck. Boosters don’t really help because they’re hidden under the crystals so you can’t see them or they’re covered by chocolate. Hopefully I’ll get that elusive lucky board soon.
This is another "lucky board" level. I played about 75 games before everything fell into place for me. It is a boring level which sometimes gives few opportunities for strategy. The jellied squares also are frustrating. When I started, it seemed impossible; many of my efforts went nowhere close to the necessary goals. My suggestion is, if you want to continue playing, hold your nose and wait for that lucky board. It is too bad we have to put up with these stinkers to actually advance.

This level is impossible……posting for some luck I guess. I have no idea why King makes levels that are so difficult. They are not at all enjoyable. Well I do know why, they want you to pay money for boosters…….
Back to back money burner levels. Since CC made it impossible without a lucky board I will make it impossible for CC to make money from me on this level. Fair is fair.

Well I agree 16 moves to clear the lot on the board is ludicrous. It is difficult to make boosters and before you know it times up. I have one of those stripe maker boosters and didn't realise til I used it, it only forms one stripe. I thought it did more. Needless to say it was a waste of time as the stripe didn't even get used. I have a party popper too but won't use that yet. So I will keep trying.
The worst thing about this very hard level is when you get a stripe is covered in chocolate!! I had one game where are only needed about 16 more objects but game over please can I have a lucky board to stop me going out of my mind 🥴

I've completed Nightmarishly hard levels easier than this. This is the most difficult level so far...ever. Too many orders to collect with only 16 moves. Usually your only moves available are totally pointless and a waste of a move. I usually quit after 3 or 4 moves if the chocolate starts spreading because there's no chance of clearing it. BYE King. Creating levels like this turn people away from whats supposed to ve fun game. I've never spent ANYTHING to get moves or boosters, I'm not starting now.

At last I got it! I used my last sprinkle, wrapped &stripe and fish. When I opened the game I used my only space dash too and set them all off together, shit or bust. Nothing left now but at least I can move on to the next crappy ridiculous level 🤣🤣🤣
And just to cheer you all up the next level is a hard one too! Got to get two cherries but there’s triple chocolate with liquorice two cakes to smash and it keeps making more chocolate so won’t be passing this anytime soon with no boosters. 😩😩😩😩😩😩

I have only 16 moves and most of the board is covered up. Several times there are no moves at all when I start! This is a joke I couldn’t even buy enough gold bars to complete this level. This is an absolute shame. I’m done with candy crush which is sad because I really enjoyed played until now. This is ridiculous. My board doesn’t even look like the board shown above.
