Hints and tips showing how to pass level 6417 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help!
I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: Level 6417 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a super hard level so you may lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is a jelly level so you need to clear all the jelly to complete the level.
You need a bit of luck and maybe a booster or two to complete the level. Use stripes and stripe/wrap combos to clear the crystal candies from the left side of the board. If you can unlock the colourbomb and wrap in the top left section they will drop down to the bottom of the board where they can be switched together. Save this combo if you can until the remaining crystal candies are cleared from the licorice so that the yellow wraps will clear the licorice and some of the jelly. The only way to clear the jelly is by using combos as it is not possible to make matches in the outer sections.
The video below is completed using a UFO booster as there are no videos available at the time of writing made without boosters.

Adding the fish booster helped here, got those last few tricky ones in top left column, good luck...
Adding the fish booster a few times did nothing for me.
The upper left is the hard part in this level, can never get striped candy to stay up long enough to help me.

Do any of you have a problem with getting your boosters after winning Fab five? Every single time I never get the boosters, isn’t it strange? And just amazing.

This level is ridiculous!! Been here a week..this game used to be fun but now just ticks me off..i used to have fun playing it but not now..i am about to say goodbye like a lot of other people have..get it together cc..we want a fun game again!!

Very frustrating level! Using fish is useless! They don't come out in the last hand full of moves you have and IF they do, they don't hit the jellies! Not fun anymore. Shouldn't have to be "LUCKY" to get past a level.

Another frustrating level...waiting again for a very lucky board
I’m about done with cc...this level is ridiculous...the video shows a ufo hitting on the left side. I used one that didn’t hit anything on the left, I tried again after failing and again it didn’t hit anything on the left. Pretty fed up...They should have an end to cc instead of making up all these stupid levels...I’m not wasting my time having to wait for lucky boards and cc making it hard to collect boosters. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Been on this level for 2 full days, got down to 1 jelly left, won't pay for extra lives, noticed free spin is not available any more
Am I the only one to have chocolate instead of licorice? Not that it makes much difference to be honest, I still can't get anywhere near passing. I need a lucky board please king.

Ok king, I have been on this level since Aug 4th and I now officially throw the towel in. I simply cannot do this. I have literally tried everything and Nada. Time to bow out now methinks.

I use boosters but no success and there is no way to get boosters without paying

King, you have to make it at least doable or what’s the point! A lucky board is not strategic game playing.
However, since it is the only way to pass, please give me a lucky board!!!
Hoard hammers until you have at least 4, better still 6.
Start with the three boosters if you can.
Wait for a decent game where you only have the top left jelly remaining and hammer away.
Only way I got through after being stuck for days.

Been on this one for a few days. To be fair, I quite like this level and have been 1 jelly away several times. I’m just wondering if it is possible to get past these tricky levels without begging for mercy on here. So, I shall see if that is what is necessary. Please will you send me. Yep me again asking for the super lucky board. I agree with Dolce' using up boosters & quitting. NO fun & stressful. What I don't understand is how players got to this level & still don't know the names of boosters: packages for wraps, spaceships = UFO's, etc.
Ms. Cookie uses the correct terminology, ino being petty, BUT a pet peeve.

i stop playing this game for almost a year and recently i came back and play the level still feel like shit
A cada nível os desenvolvedores do CC se superam em imbecilidade. Qual a intenção de lançar um nível onde obrigatoriamente tem que começar usando reforços?? Certamente é para vender reforços para os jogadores, isto é fraude. Estou preso neste nível faz mais de 8 dias, não existe estratégia nenhuma. Agora é apenas sorte ou dinheiro para concluir. Estou saindo fora desta farsa.

I enjoy saga but I play it because I needed a distraction from cancer, COVID etc. when you are not able to do what you used to do, having this game to play is a wonderful distraction. When it becomes “ soul destroying “ it’s time to reevaluate! I am there, unfortunately. I might come back but skill is not involved. Having a “lucky “ board is what is important. Disappointing…..😢

Working on the upper left first was the key for me. Obviously, get rid of the chocolate asap. Then clear that top left area. The rest will be self-evident.
