Hints and tips showing how to pass level 6489 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help!
I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: Level 6489 is a jelly level and the tricky part is keeping the licorice under control. You need to keep making stripes and stripe/wrap combos to hit the floats and licorice at the top. The fish will help to clear the licorice and jelly as long as you get enough of them.

I cant get close. Maybe needs double colour bomb
tooo many licorice, no way to outsmart the licorice unless you're lucky enough to get double colorbomb, I'm still waiting
Awful level. Only double colourbombs can pass this level. Force it with hammers or switches otherwise it will be not doable. Good luck everyone 🍀
Has the sugar drop challenge disappeared for everyone . No boosters and stuck on level 6489
How is this level not a hard or super hard level?! I have played it so many times, and I'm still stuck. The sugar drop challenge is gone for me too. I sure could use the boosters!

won several times but a flaw in the game made a recurring forever move using a fish and a strip so had to keep redoing the game. the way I finally stopped it was using a hammer to do last color bomb than againt to clear last jelly. was a waste of lots of boosters !!
They don’t classify levels anymore - I think they realize that they haven’t been getting it right these days

6 days in stuck on this level, this is a new record for being stuck for me, complete joke and become one big bore! Adios King.

Horrific level not sure I’ll get past this one not getting close been stuck for days.
The fish always target licorice first. I only passed it because there were no licorice when I set off a booster cascade. No licorice fell while the cascade kept making stripes and setting them off. You get to hit the jelly and floats together.
If you are lucky enough to clear the bottom, use up to two space dash.
Absolutely rediculous
this level is near impossible! There are six stripe dispensers and yet the last time i played not one stripe came out. this has happened more than once. why bother with the dispensers if they don't yield striped candies. what a joke! getting tired of this game maybe it is time to say good bye!

So, This is so not fun. We either need MORE MOVES or LESS OBSTACLES. IM SO WEARY of not even being close. We need to earn boosters to be successful. Please fix. REDUCILOUS!
It sucks to be stuck at home for who knows how long with unlimited lives and be on this level. What's the point? Without boosters, hopeless.

I think this is the one that will finally make me quit CC. Been at this for days and not coming close. Not even challenging with the licorice proliferating.

Can't clear liquorice, therefore can't clear jelly under them, fish don't target keys, impossible game and so boring now, maybe time to take a break

There aren't even enough moves to collect keys..used CB to start hoping to get at least 1st key right out the gate..nope had to waste it on some innocuous color because it was only move on the board!!! THAT'S BS CANDY CRUSH..YOU MUST WANT US TO LEAVE!!!

Got it on my 3rd try...maybe a lucky board, but what I did was only focus like crazy on the left side. Kept blasting those floats as much as possible (& getting the keys) and the right side took care of itself

I don't understand these comments about King trying to steal your money. Everyone has a choice whether to buy their way through the levels or not. Personally I prefer to rely on a little skill and experience of playing the game to win through. I would never pay money out on this. This seems a very tough level, but I am sure that I will get through it with patience and persistence!

The licorice returns if you DON'T hit any with a stripe or fish in your turn. As long as you can keep hitting something every turn, focusing on stripe/wrap combos if possible, then you'll clear everything in time. It's not impossible without boosters, but it's not easy to keep the stripes or fish going without a break!

Definitely a glitch . I cleared the board and the last key did not drop . Fish just swam and activated the stripes .the centre speckled colour bomb did not open . Please fix . Thanks
