Hints and tips showing how to pass level 8638 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help!
I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: Level 8638 is a multi task level, you have to collect sugar coats, licorice and jelly to complete the level. You can't destroy the spawner and you need it to give you the sugar coats you need. You need to look for special candies and combos from the start of the game, so take your time so you don't miss the patterns under the sugar coats. As the board begins to open up you will be able to see the colours better and also make colourbombs.

The next phase of levels just opened up for me today. I was finding it incredibly difficult to understand how I could pass level 8638 with only 20 moves. I come to this site to see how it can be done and find the level to have 35 moves? why the different number of moves on a level just released?
This is what candy crush does! They want you to buy more posters. On line I thought I saw 40 moves for this level. We have 20!
This level is impossible due to not enough liquorice dropping down. What to do? Posting for lucky board pls
I agree with the previous comments. It is so unfair to drastically reduce the number of moves. Obviously to make us purchase extra moves but I have always said I will not do that, I would quit first as all the competiveness would be irrelevant in my opinion. What do you all think? I understand they have to make money but surely on these free games they get that through the adverts?
Well my comments just disappeared. Posting for luck. Since I cannot play Win 10 where you have a million moves I am stuck with whatever it’s down to when it appears on my iPad. I could have won the first time if 2 more licorice had dropped but they didn’t. There is no booster you can use to cause this to happen. I haven’t been close since. It’s totally unfair. I realize I could buy more moves but even that is no guarantee they’d drop and I will not do that anyway. I really don’t understand why we all have to be treated so differently. We are all just unappreciated guinea pigs. Good luck everyone.
Funnily enough my comments disappeared too Sandykp and I couldn't be bothered to repost but I see they have reappeared! Maybe they don't like negative comments? I also find that when I get close, the liquorice fails to fall or I get the extra moves spin when it is impossible to win! Eventually we will be allowed to win but not until they decide to let us!
Need luck with this one! Too few moves to collect all those licorice.
After many tries came here for tips, just tried again and got the elusive "lucky board", 1 move to spare out of 20, the licorice was the hardest to get, good luck!

Level 8638 video shows 35 moves we get 20. This has happened lots lately. King be fair to your players. I'm ready to quit playing this is not fun anymore
I have 40 moves today. Won Fab five plus winning streak, done with 16 moves left.
Stuck with 20 moves also....something does seem right, when different people are allowed more moves then others...!?!?

Well Folks, King is listening to your complains, they're not so greedy, it is now 21 moves mwuhahahah. I thought that will give me an advantage, but is's still difficult... Impossible or a lucky board!!! Regards Sander
I started with a couple of boosters (a CB and stripe/wrap) from a win streak and passed on my first try in 19 moves. Maybe it was a lucky board but I don't usually get those until I've failed a number of times. LOL. Anyway, you can try using pre-game boosters to see if that works for you.

Well 10 days on and still nowhere near completion..... a very boring and tedious level. I refuse to pay King a penny for what is a free to play game. The fun has gone and if I haven`t passed in another 4 days, I will be gone too.....

Surprised the tips don't mention the keys..if you don't clear those in the first few moves you're pretty much done...I've cleared it all but can't get the licorice to drop either..lucky board now please

Now that I've watched the video with 35 moves, I'd like to see a video where someone passes in the 21 moves we are now given!! Totally impossible level....You just cannot get the remaining licorice you need even if you have a few moves left!! Totally frustrating!

I had everything except the licorice thanks to a colour bomb matched with a wrap which really opened up the board. Enough licorice dropped after my last move so I used my gold to buy the moves I needed as I thought it could be a long time before I got anywhere near close again.

Two times I cleared everything except the licorice and no licorice fell. So how can I complete this level?
I found working at the bottom going from one side to the other each time worked. It took me about 10 tries.

Far too few moves for a level where blockers are produced at a rapid rate.
Explode a vertical stripe in the licorice columns and it will clear the column which will fill up with licorice.

Crap level used precious gold bars to get extra lives as I was the closest to finishing than I'd ever been for the last 4 moves no liquorice dropped and I'd only 3 to get! I'm done with this damn level, 🤬

Just one ridiculous level after another. What happened to normal, enjoyable levels instead of constant tedious, impossible ones. Just boring if you’re not prepared to pay money which I constantly say I won’t!!!!!

There must be a problem in the game, have finished many times but no licorice drops, no use buying extra moves as not guaranteed any licorice will drop.....need to fix this king.....

Don’t know how to pass this nightmarishly hard level.
Difficult to see what’s underneath to make matches; have to rely on the flashing hint.
Got close once with seven licorice left to collect but they wouldn’t drop.
Very tedious with not enough moves.

Impossible. Finally won some boosters thanks but they are of no use. This is surely getting to the point where I actually do stop playing. Been pounding it and it’s just not fun. Lucky board or this is a give up on the game level. :(.
