The difficulty on level 924 is getting enough points to pass the level, not clearing the jelly.
If you clear all the visible jelly before you clear the cake try to make some points before you clear the cake, because there is only one layer of jelly under the cake, so the cake hammer will clear the board and you will be left without enough points.
The other option is to clear the cake before you clear all the double layer jelly, so you still have some jelly left to make points before the level is cleared. Sometimes you don't have the option to choose so have to make the points however you can.
The best way to make points is with a colour bomb/wrap combo while there is jelly on the board.

You don't have many moves to complete this level and the score needed is very high, so you need to be looking to make colour bombs as soon as possible while there is plenty of jelly on the board.
It is common to complete level 926 with moves to spare but not score enough for one star, so you need to keep a close eye on the score.
Watch the conveyors carefully and watch what is coming around as that will help you make your colour bombs.
A colour bomb switched with a wrapped candy is best for scoring more points, especially if there is a lot of jelly still on the board.
Matching the keys early with open up the board to give you space to work and also give you some stripes to clear jelly.
Starting the level with a colour bomb booster may be helpful although I haven't tried it.
Fish boosters will not be much help as they will clear the jelly but won't help you get a good score, which is the hard part.

The cherry is locked in the middle of the board, surrounded by loads of multi- hit cream blockers.
Clear a space to work and then you need stripe/wrap combos to clear the cream, or wraps switched together. Don't neglect the bombs in the four corners, you will need to get rid of them before they count down, although with luck you may complete the level before that happens.
Combos is the only way forward on level 923.
The most difficult part of level 923 Candy Crush Saga is getting high enough points to pass. The best way to increase your points is with colour bomb/wrap combos, especially if you can hit the bombs with the colour bombs as this will give the best points.
Look carefully at the board before every move as there is a lot of cream to be cleared and it's easy to run out of moves or be killed by the bombs.
