Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1287 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Allina Rumfelt
If you can detonate all three cake cannons, they will clear out all the jelly.
The promise of a chocolate bomb for popping a popcorn is a distraction. Focus on the cakes and let the cannons clear out the jelly. Luckily all three cakes are on the bottom of the board so all your specials can be dropped down to form combos. The first cannon will remove the licorice so you can get to the one to the left. There are portals to consider so once you have the two on the right cleared moves on the lower left side of the board can help move specials over there - they can also displace part of a combo you have set up and hinder your progress if your not careful.
If you have a combo set up, use it right away so you don't lose it.

First thing I did was try to get rid of the cake. Once I was able to get 2 color bombs from the popcorn side by side I did a double chocolate bomb blast that led to 2 more chocolate bombs side by side for a total of 3 double chocolate bomb blasts which pretty much took care of the blockers on the bottom. Even if you don't get two from the popcorn the play area is pretty big and you can drop one down pretty easily.
If you do get the chance to do a stripe/wrap combo, drop them down to the row of popcorn so they get a double blast. Really tough getting stars on this level so if you are playing for points any chance to do a chocolate bomb and wrap combo do it since it tends to give more points than a double chocolate bomb blast.

We get that ominous warning that it's HARD lol.. yea no kidding.
This is one where the conveyor belts really help out. If you can get stripes/wraps/chocolate bombs sitting right next to the belt and then drop a couple on the belt you can bring them together to get some of the orders.
The hardest order to collect is the chocolate bomb and stripe mix so go for those first. Check the board after every single move for a chance to make a chocolate bomb.
The licorice will block your blasts from getting to the flying saucers so make sure to get them out of the way before you do a stripe/wrap blast in an attempt to get them. If you are lucky enough to get a stripe AND wrapped candied next to each other on the belt, wait till it circles around so you can hit a couple of the saucers. You can gauge your luck on your ability to get the 12 wrapped candies from the saucers-- you need them.

I'm still on 1277. I thought it impossible, but have come close a couple of times so I guess at some point I will get through.
What I'm finding: best not to form stripes until a sprinkle is on the board. Those stripes screw up the board when not needed.
On the other hand, try to get a stripe lined up to set off the flying saucers; you'll need to hit them twice to activate, so try to get them early. Sprinkle/stripe combo can do wonders in activating the flying saucers.
Every few games I find lots of wraps forming by themselves, so not to worry about clearing all four flying saucers that will give you 12 of the 20 wraps you need (I think you need a total of 20). I got down to needing one combo in a game but lollipops and hands usually do not help making combos at the end, so here I sit on this level. People on this board have been asking for a level where we have to think. Yes, a lot of this level luck (and which level wasn't?) but this is a level where you need to study your board and go slowly.
By Robert C. Calogero : 1277 was a stinker, but the Power of the Moan in another post worked. smile emoticon Key to getting this one is early in the round, get a striped/wrapped combo to get rid of a ton of licorice, then set off the UFO's to get most of the wrapped candies (stripes on the conveyor belt or a wrap/wrap combo in the corner of the conveyor belt by a UFO). Then the rest of the orders will be easier to collect.
