Hints and tips showing how to pass level 1974 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
You have to collect the 4 ingredients which are locked under the licorice strings. To do this you will have to clear the cake and the 2 popcorns which are blocking the way to the exits.
There are only 4 colours on the board so it's easy to make the stripes and wraps for the combos you will need to clear everything.
You only have 30 moves so don't waste them, vertical stripes may not be so easy to make but if you make sideways stripes you can switch them together or switch with a wrap.
Once the cake is gone moves you make in the right side will bring down the candies in the left side so you can get combos down to where they will hit the popcorns, either beside them or above them.
This is not a hard level except there aren't many moves to spare. A coconut wheel booster is very helpful if you are struggling.

You will need a fair bit of luck to clear this level. You need to clear the cake bomb in as few moves as possible to have any chance of passing level 1973.
Because the moves are very restricted and the board small if you don't get the moves where you need them to clear the cake you won't do it.
Try to plan your next move if possible so you don't leave yourself with only wasted moves. Often the only moves available are on one side of the cake and once that side is clear they are wasted unless they also clear jelly, but there is no point in clearing jelly if you can't clear the cake.
If the cake is almost cleared and you know you can clear the last section in the next move look to see if you can clear more jelly first as long as that doesn't spoil your cake clearing move.
The less jelly you have once the cake is clear the more chance you have of clearing it.

Level 1978 is classified as a hard level and it certainly can be, but it can also seem very easy when everything goes right and you pass it.
A lot of luck is involved in clearing level 1978 as you need loads of cascades to have any chance at all.
First you need a good start, if you can make a combo and hit the spawners before they block your move with licorice thats the first hit done and it gives you another move before they start to spawn.
Then you can forget them and concentrate on making wraps and colour bombs as these are what will give you the cascades you need.
To begin with you just need to break into the blockers with any combo you can make, but as the board begins to clear you can begin to get the cascades going.
Although there are only 4 colours on the board and combos and cascades are easy to make, the board is arranged so that the cascades won't really get going until you have more space and by then you will be getting very low on moves.
Colour bomb/wrap combos and colour bomb/stripe combos don't really do much good until you have a good open plying area, but they are certainly worth using, especially the wraps, if you have candies the same colour as the wrap close enough to hit the spawners.
There is jelly under the spawners so they have to be cleared to complete the level.
I have not found any booster to be particularly helpful at the start of the game, but hammers and hands may help during the game.
