The main thing to concentrate on is clearing the cake bombs, these, when destroyed, will remove most of the jelly from the board and also hit the spawners at the bottom.
Stripe/wrap combos are by far the best combos for clearing the cakes and if you hit the spawners at the same time better still.
You will need to clear the spawners as there is jelly under them also, but if you use strip/wrap combos they will be cleared as you work on the cakes.
Colourbombs aren't much help apart from increasing your score.

Level 2640 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it.
When the board settles you will have 8 colourbombs and one wrapped candy to get you started.
Be careful not to let the wrapped candy detonate any of the colourbombs, wait until it has moved away from any colourbombs before you switch any of them with yellow to detonate it.
DO NOT under any circumstances switch two colourbombs together, this will not give many points and is a waste of 2 colourbombs plus any more that are on the board.
Use the colourbombs one by one on a colour that has at least three countdown bombs for maximum points.
If there are not many bombs on the board make a move with normal candies to get more to drop, a vertical move often gives more bombs. However don't waste too many moves, one is usually enough to get some bombs to drop.
You will need to make at least one extra colourbomb and probably 2 more to get the points needed, but the more bombs you can get on the board the easier it will be to score enough points.
Be very careful of making stripes or wraps as they can easily detonate a colourbomb by mistake and this is the last thing you want to happen. Every colourbomb needs to clear at least 2 or 3 bombs and if one is detonated without hitting any you will struggle to complete the level.
Think carefully about every move before you make it.
Don't worry if it looks like you may be a few points short on the last move, often the final detonation of any specials left on the board will give you the push over the line.

This is a HUGE score to make in so few moves and the only way to get it is to make colourbombs and hit as many bombs as you can with them.
There are 8 popcorns which you can grow into colourbombs using stripes or, better, wraps, but you can also try to make more yourself and always try to hit the colour that has most bombs on the board to maximise your score.
Avoid switching colourbombs with stripes or wraps as this doen't give a very good score, much better to use the colourbombs on a single colour.
When you are down to your last move make a colourbomb to leave on the board rather than using another that is already on the board. Any colourbombs left on the board will be detonated at the end and will bring your score up considerably.
