Hints and tips showing how to pass level 2817 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie

Level 2817 is all about the cakes. Clear the two cakes and the resulting bombs will clear all but a few jellies for you.

The first thing to focus on is unlocking the candies around the cakes so that you have a chance to clear them, but check also to see if there are matches below the cakes that you should make before the chocolate starts to grow.

You don't have many moves for this level so every one must count, if you find yourself switching candies aimlessly you may as well quit and start again.

You don't need many moves, if any, to clear the last of the jelly so don't worry if you are on your last moves when the cakes are destroyed.

I found this to be a hard level due to the restricted board and lack of moves, but with a bit of luck and many tries I managed to pass without boosters.
The moves have been reduced slightly but the video was completed in the moves available

You'll need some kind of special candies to break through the blockers and get the candies dropping into the jelly in the bottom half of the board, stripe, wraps or any combo will do the job.

Unfortunately, clearing the blockers will also release the licorice, which will cover the bottom half of the board.

Once the licorice is released you will need a bit of luck as you need to be able to make matches in the bottom part of the board to keep the licorice at bay so you can clear the jelly.

If you can't make matches in the bottom try firing a combo into the licorice to clear a little.

Combos won't clear the licorice, but they might just give you the move you need to begin clearing it.

Don't forget about the two squares with the locked licorice, these have to be cleared using stripes or combos.

A colourbomb/stripe or colourbomb/wrap combo will be useful as long as you have plenty of candies of the right colour where they are needed.

You need to collect the 4 ingredients which are all on the board at the start of the game.
The bottom one in the locked cell is the tricky one, but this isn't a hard level.
Work your way down the board unlocking the candies as you go with any special candy and combo you can make.
The cherries will drop through the exits fairly easily once you have cleared the way for them.
Each cherry has a different exit so you have to look at all parts of the board so you don't forget about any of the top ones while you are working on the bottom.
