Candy Crush Saga Level 208.

How to pass level 208 Candy Crush Saga
You only need colour bombs and stripes so avoid making wraps if the opportunity arises.. Look for colour bomb patterns before every move. If you can't make a colour bomb make a stripe.
The easiest way to get the stripes you need is to swap one with a colour bomb, but it's much easier to make all the colour bombs first as every time you explode one with a normal candy it will make the next one easier.

If the level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know on our FB group and I will try to change it.

Adrian's tips for level 208 Original version.

Don't let the colour bomb (top, centre) distract you too

much - whilst it may be of help, you may just as easilly make

one yourself.

Note you ONLY need a colour bomb + striped

and colour bomb + wrapped ... so really try to avoid using

any specials unless you are making these combos.

Work hard on setting up a colour bomb and remember it

can't be moved

(because swapping it with ANYTHING fires it off)

so make a wrapped/striped near by once you

have the colour bomb.

If possible play the bomb + wrapped first as it should

(with luck) remove two colours improving the chances of you

being able to make a second colour bomb immediately.

Frustrating and annoying level. Bye bye, game.

Anonymous said...

I think this is the end of the game for me too. Its becoming very tedious now trying to get the impossible combos. Too little moves available and too many different colors on the board and I refuse to buy my way past the level.

Anonymous said...

Fed up with candy crush now. Must have played level more than 300 times now. Pity, because although other levels have been difficult, this level is soooo boring. Too many reshuffling and very few opportunities. King.com you have designed a bad level and you won't be getting any more money from me

Anonymous said...

Enough is enough; I stop playing the game, this is not funny anymore. Can't I buy the level off?

Unknown said...

stuck on this level for over a week now. tried using MANY boosters but still no luck. a very bad design as I'm now so bored playing I've kind of quit. I stopped playing for 2 days, came back and tried once more and it's just become boring. Oh well, Maybe now I'll have time to clean my house.

Anonymous said...

I'm with you guys! This level SUCKS! I'm sad because I have really enjoyed playing the game. Usually I get better at a game if I stick with it, but this one just seems random and tedious! Perhaps I, too, shall clean my house! :)

dr.j.c. said...

Agree. This was fun until this level. I was addicted, but no longer have any desire to play.

Anonymous said...

Gotta agree with the bulk of these comments. While some stages have been difficult this one is pure luck and that bothers me. I've lost almost all motivation to keep playing this game.

Anonymous said...

The main flaw in this game is not being able to "skip' a level. A lot of luck is needed here as it is very difficult with the limited size board and all of the colors.

stuck for 3 months. help? :(

Anonymous said...

If you really enjoy playing this game, don't give up at this level. I was about ready to, but I stuck with it and finally got past it. WHEW! The most helpful comment someone else made was to ignore the top center color bomb. Focus on making your own combinations of 5 to create a color bomb. It's not easy, and some boards just won't allow that to happen. You just need to get lucky once to get past this stinkin' level! Hang in there! Having gotten past it... I'm finally enjoying playing again!

Anonymous said...

201 was a crazily boring and repetitive experience and here i am again just a few levels later. Agree with previous comments about King using these levels to pressure players to buy add-ons.

Anonymous said...

King needs to have their heads kicked in 10x over. Either that or beaten with hammers until they completely take the enticement away for a player to purchase something.

King try this.. try opening up all levels and people can just jump to whatever they please. Then let them compete with their friends over points, not having them get stuck for months on 1 level.

There is this little thing called using your brain.. King.. use it.

Anonymous said...

This game is no longer enjoyable. Been stuck on this level for a week now (which I know pales in comparison to some others); but frankly, this level feels like a chore.

It's completely boring, uninteresting, and lacks any type of creativity or chaining what so ever. You have 2 combinations (1 of which rarely ever happens), enhanced with the fact that there is little space to do anything.

Yes lets just give the player little room to work with, throw a combination at them that never happens and lets see if they break down and buy power ups.

Buying power ups won't guarantee beating this level. I can't even be bothered to buy power ups on a level I find so damn boring. I think this is the end of the line for me. I'm well over half way through, but if this level is a sign of more boring levels to come, I just can't be bothered.

All in a all, a terrible game meant to squeeze every last penny out of people. King should be ashamed of themselves.

Anonymous said...

This is the level that turned me off the game. It's the epitomy of what King.com is about. No care or passion for developing anything fun.. it's all about squeezing every last penny out of people.

This has to be the worst and most boring level yet. What I mean by worst is asking for the 2 hardest combos to get, no room to work with, and 999/1000 times you'll never get a chance to make a chocolate ball, let alone 2 and combo them appropriately.

Myself like tens of thousands of others, have ended their journey on Candy Crush at 208, I encourage others to do the same. Once you hit this level, you'll see why and you'll see king.com's true colors.

Anonymous said...

This level turned me off the game as well. I only took 5 attempts at it and thought to myself "this is just a horribly boring level". Poorly designed, outside the fact it's a crystal clear attempt to drag people into purchasing power ups.

Not my thing, Candy crush sucks because of it, and in my opinion, it's one of the worst games of all time due to how it's designed.

King dropped the ball with this one, big time.

Anonymous said...

142 days stuck on this level, and have yet to ever be able to form a chocolate ball, nor even free the one trapped in fudge.

Really King.com? 142 (average about 12 games a day) and cannot even form 1 lousy chocolate ball?

It's pretty pathetic, on my map, there are 73 people stuck at this level, while another one passed it on her first try. This random garbage is their bane. Of those 73 people stuck on my map, I decided to msg them and ask if they still play anymore. Only 1 does, and that's because they only just got there.

Pathetic

Anonymous said...

this soooo boring level will most likely make me stop playing this game... first level I Find totally impossible to pass and since it is so boring I lose interest. Nope, game makers, not getting a dime from me!!

Anonymous said...

I'm joining you guys to quit this game - this level absolutely takes the fun out of this game

KristinaB808 said...

This level is ridiculous. I have to admit, level 147 had me frustrated until I finally beat it. 208 is near impossible. I might have to take a break from it for awhile. It's not even interesting to play. I don't even use up the 5 lives before I stop playing!

Anonymous said...

Decided to come back after a little over a month to see if anything has been fixed.

Nope same stupid level, with same requirements, completely and utterly boring and next to impossible unless you buy powerups (even then there is no guarantee.

Now I remember why I left this piece of shit game. I'm permanently done. Adios

Anonymous said...

Something the developers need to realize is this, if they were to open up all the levels and base all competition on points against their friends.. how many people would bother even playing these boring levels like 208?

Seriously, who in their right mind would come back to the garbage level. Out of all 208 up to this point, this one takes the cake. It's just so damn un-interesting; like the other person above, I can't even bring myself to use 5 lives. I'd rather stare at a wall.

It is imperative they take these stupid boring shit levels out and replace them with ones that are actually fun. Then don't make them even remotely hard to the point anybody, and I mean ANYBODY feels the need to purchase power-ups to complete it.

Power-ups should never even be a thought.. only for the truly truly lazy.

Anonymous said...

143? Try 227. I guarantee those 227 people locked at 208 aren't playing anymore, because I only have a handful of people left asking me for lives, and it's not coming from them.

I used to have over 400 people at one point on my list playing.. now I have a grand total of 7 people asking me for lives. What a great retention rate.. 7 out of over 400 people.

These people have the odasity to make a commercial trying to lure people into the game, when it's clear doesn't have the lasting power to warrant keeping people around.

Anonymous said...

I just checked out as well, hated level 197 I think, but this is nonsense. So I'm out - next game please - oh, and cleaning of the house :-)

Unknown said...

Lovely those comments! This is exactly what I feel about this level!

Even if you come as far as making a colourbomb of you're own, you are 20 moves further and still did'nt succeed to match it with a striped or bomb candy. It is also impossible to play any kind of tactics due to the lack of opportunities in this level.

Indeed go for the next game, and for the record this will not be bubble witch saga ;-)

Anonymous said...

208 is the WORST level!! Agree with all above, BORING as hell. Don't see how it is possible to pass this level, and I REFUSE to pay for any boosters!! Guess I will find another game to waste my time on.

Anonymous said...

Level 208 on Candy Crush is about as fun as sticking my hand in a nest of bees while being chased by a hungry bear covered in Honey. I can't get a stroke of luck on this one. It has got me stumped right now.

Anonymous said...

I am really grateful for this level. It means I can finally quit!

Anonymous said...

Worst level ever. No imagination by the designer. King needs to delete this one.

Anonymous said...

Sorry King. This level is crap. No Way of planning your moves since it falls randomly in the middle, its too small space to make these candies. It's hard to match them on a full square, gere its impossible.
I give up each life after 20 moves if nothing has happened, meaning my 5 lives is used in 2 minutes...
I have friends who passed this level but as people say... It so boring. And useless. And impossible.

So maybe I should say thanks instead. Finally a reason to stop playing... And sorry King, will NOT be one of your games again... Ever...

Anonymous said...

Me too..I look up and not play all day when usually playing several.times a day

4thtwin said...

Yes, this level is crap and I was stuck on it for days until I decided to just pay the $1.99 to switch some candies that don't match. Come on people, not everything in life is free. I love this game so spending a couple of bucks to move forward was worth it for me. Yes, I'm on 209 now and still playing.

Anonymous said...

This level is not impossible. I completed it this morning with no boosters (that's cheating in my book) after about 40 attempts over 5 days. I had got close a couple of times before. Yes, you need some luck but you need to make your luck. I recommend clearing the top colour bomb rather than ignoring it. Once it is cleared and candies are coming from the middle as well as left and right, you get many more options. Just make colour bombs and other candies will come. The next few levels are much easier. Keep playing, don't give up.

Unknown said...

Can't believe I just completed this when I thought this would be the end of my time on candy crush ....... as per the recommendation, I took no notice of the colour bomb up the middle of the column - made one myself and had a wrapped one next to it and then I could make another and a striped one was just nearby. I actually only tried it about 20 times so think I was very lucky indeed but do keep having a go and concentrate on making your own colour bombs (preferably to pop with a wrapped candy on first one) - good luck everyone!

Anonymous said...

Just passed it after about an hour and 20 tries. Yes, I think you need to free the top sprinkle ball as it just opens up more space in the middle of the board to make special candies.

Don't be afraid to sacrifice special candies. I even had to sacrifice one sprinkle ball (it was obvious that I wasn't going to be able to make a special candy near it) to make the color densities more favorable.

There seems to be a lot of luck here, but not to the extent some of you claim. I was able to free the top ball in about a a third to a half of the games. I was able to complete one of the two orders in about a third of the games, too.

Maybe some of you just aren't any good...lol. The longest I've been stuck on any level is about a day and a half or two days...and I work, so I'm not playing all day (maybe 15 or so minutes a handful of times per day and then a bit longer in the evening).

Anonymous said...

For those of you fed up with this level, another equally annoying challenge awaits you at 221. Have fun!

Anonymous said...

The absolute WORST level. I nearly took a hammer to my iPad!
Spent 3 days on this, seems like I played it a bazillion times. My trick to success was
to "refresh" the board until I was sure I could get the chocolate ball to drop in the
first couple of moves. The last time I did this, it dropped with a wrapped package
above it!!! After that it was easy! By getting the chocolate ball to drop, you
open the board up and get some space to maneuver.

Anonymous said...

that,s the key if you aren,t play all the time aroud you,ll win much easyer becouce your head is emty

Unknown said...

Don't fool yourself. It's ALL luck. People can talk about "strategy" all they want, but if the game doesn't give you the right pieces to "work towards" a chocolate ball or whatever other special piece you want then you're not going to win. Period.

That's not to say that everyone should be complaining. Like someone pointed out... it's a FREE f'n' game. What do you expect developers to do? How are they supposed to earn a living if they don't charge for the game and they don't give any reason to buy boosters?

Grow up, people.

wardman said...

this level is so frustrating. i stopped playing because of this level.. i've been stucked for a week.. byebye game.

Anonymous said...

It's not ALL luck. It's a combination of some chance with careful planning ahead to get the combos. Sure, sometimes the luck is bad, and you have to try another round. But that's way different than being all luck, like a slot machine or something. You work as much as you can with what you are given, and the smarter you are, the better your chances. The "all luck" excuse is for those without any patience or skill. You don't get a bad layout EVERY TIME people. Eventually that "luck" you despise will give you a window of opportunity. Turn on the brain power, turn down the whine power.

Anonymous said...

this and 167 are the most difficult. later levels get easier. i'm on 350 now. took me 2 weeks to finish this level

Anonymous said...

Huh? Took out 221 on the first try.

Anonymous said...

tep... thats me finished with this game. Its gone beyond enjoyable now... Ill play something else less frustrating and based more on skill than pure luck

Anonymous said...

Damn, this is a really frustrating level. Nice to know, I'm not the only one. NO QUITTING!!! everyone. Keep trying!!

I have come really close a few time now. I am going to keep trying. If you are on an iPad or iPhone, you can exit each game if you don't like to the board, and go right back without losing any lives. And I am doing this until I get a board where I can get a colour-bomb in the first move, and usually within 3-4 moves, I have collected one of the combos needed, and it leaves me with 37-36 moves to do the second one. Frankly, at the moment, its harder to find the prefect board. But just keep trying....

Anonymous said...

Couldn't agree more, a game of pure luck, created just to make guilble player buy powerups.

Anonymous said...

I finally did this level by pure luck, but the game is ruined for me now, it was no fun or enjoyment what-so-ever, it was a chore and I won't be going back to this game now. There's more skill in a game of Snakes and Ladders.

Anonymous said...

I really enjoy reading the whining about this level. Finished it twice without any powerups. So easy to complain - maybe you should use your brains a little more and stop yapping about "luck". And how can a free game be a ripoff? What a bunch of whiny babies.

Anonymous said...

Guys, it's a terrible level, but it can be done. I cracked it on the third day. After some 60 tries. Only in 4 or 5 I came close, then I got lucky. Don't focus too much on the colour bomb on top. Try to get one somewhere else, then the top one will fall down by itself. Good luck!

Anonymous said...

Ok, King... You slipped and hit your head when you created this level. It sucks. You have officially sucked the fun out of the game. Yes, there have been difficult levels prior to this one, but this is just pointless. I quit other games when they became this impossible, now I'm quitting yours. Bu-bye!

Anonymous said...

hi, i'm new here... hate this level and also i'm about to quit the gme and soooo sorry for this because i loved this game.... any new tips? do you also feel that on other levels the game sort of helps you after a while? maybe here on this level too? or is this just a stupid feeling smile

Anonymous said...

This is murder! The most difficult so far (of course, I've only got so far, duh!!)

Anonymous said...

I'd like to meet the sorry sod that designed the level and kick him right where the sun don't shine.

Anonymous said...

Definitely one of the most difficult levels but not impossible without boosters. Just need Lady Luck on your side. You have to be REALLY good at thinking ahead but the candies have to be the right ones. :P

Anonymous said...

Guys, it's not impossible. After around 15 tries i came to this blog looking for tips and basically find lots of comments saying it's a impossibel level. I got a little sad, but around 20 attempts later, i finally bit it. Thinking ahead is VERY important on this level. If you see in the vertical areas a line where candies of a same colour are organized in two groups of two with a different candy on the middle, work on the line on the side, until you get a candy of the colour you need to complete de the group of five:
o -
o -
- o
o -
o -
I know it depents on what the gave give you, but in all honesty I was able to make chocolates in pretty much every attempt. The dificulty was actually make the striped candies and the packed candies to park on the side of it. But eventually it happened as well. Just keep trying, it's NOT impossible!

Anonymous said...

Hang in there! It is total luck but will happen. I have been stuck and was giving up because it is so boring so wasn't even looking forward to playing. I just beat it! Total luck. The first move I was able to create a stripe to knock down the bomb. Then a bunch dropped creating another chocolate with a strip

Anonymous said...

dont speak the obvious, do you really think at this point of time, players still doesn't know the knack to making chocolate?

Anonymous said...

Be patient. Did it after 3 or so days. It was luck that a wrapped candy landed on top of a chocolate ball. I had a few 'almost got there' occasions. Very hard but possible. Good luck. PS haven't spent a penny on the game. Have done it using FB and by opening several tabs to get extra lives (only one per tab, despite appearances). Hope you find the tip useful

Anonymous said...

I didn't mean to speak the obvious, but i saw some people here saying that after MONTHS tey weren't able to make chocolates, and were giving up the game altogether, and so yes, i did think some people weren't paying enough attention to their opportunities. My bad. I just wanted to enphasize that for me it was all it took. Pay attention to not miss any opportunities to make chocolates (my example being the most basic one) and eventually you'll get there, as simply as that. Peace and good luck!

Unknown said...

Well, I missed the comments here and watched the video. Then started playing. This one is tough, very. I will not spends weeks on a level. I decided to spend $2 on 3 lollipops. I released the colour bomb first. Things came together and I won. Thinking back, I might have waited to release the colour bomb until I had a wrapped ready below to mix it with. It can be difficult to maneuver around the bomb when it is down there. My philosophy, people get paid to design and I don't mind some contributions, especially when it pays off. Or, play one of their other games and get lives and lollipops. We all go about it differently.

Anonymous said...

I COME HERE FOR ANGRY MOBS TOO! I think that king knows how to manipulate people. HAHAHA. He should be president. I wont quit! Dont quit too! HAHA

Anonymous said...

After reading the comments here, I was despairing of ever passing this level! (I just got to it today.) I agree with whoever posted that you SHOULD try to release the candy ball that is trapped in the gel AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Every time I managed to do that, I came much closer to passing the level until, after about 20 tries...I passed it. Releasing the trapped candy definitely frees up more possibilities, including getting more striped and wrapped.

Anonymous said...

After almost two weeks of being stuck, and reading all of these comments... I took the advice of a couple of people on here and started the game with 3 extra moves, a special candy, and a colour bomb. That did the trick... I was able to create enough special candies and get them close to the colour bombs and clear the level...Hallelujah!

Anonymous said...

I have completed this level 3 times now without boosters. It's a painful level for sure, but far from impossible. It's actually a great training level to hone your game once you get over the initial frustration. My last attempt only took 3 tries to succeed, although that's some good fortune, as it's a very tough level. Last success came from dislodging the centre chocolate early, whereas previous success has entailed forming a wrapped candy first, then working hard to slowly configure a choco-ball. The complains about luck just come from those without the skill and patience to work for the combos, I guess.

Anonymous said...

OMG...make that two consecutive wins. Crazy. Didn't beat my high score, but took a screen capture just to prove I've it multiple times. Getting a wrapped BEFORE the chocoball seems to help because it's easier to maneuver than a chocoball. Plus, once you combo with wrapped and choco, you often get a nice residual layout that you can work over slowly to form the second chocoball. That just leaves the striped candy, which is the easiest to achieve. Also, be careful not to form too many combos because that can actually work against you by blowing up a chocoball before you are ready.

Anonymous said...

I don't either smh

Unknown said...

Lol took me two attempts to pass this level, and even in 3 stars too!

Anonymous said...

ben,s tips:it,s a touch one practice first on making colourbombs in easyer levels once you get the hang of it try to ignore the top colourbomb its wastes to many moves try the wrapped first for it is bij far the hardes then you can concentrate one the striped with luch you have a new colourbome after the striped+wrapped good luck

Anonymous said...

This level is the intervention for the insanely addicted candy crackheads! See there is a cure! This one really makes you think about what your doing with your life and how much your life will improve once you lay down the candy crack pipe! Just remember QUITING IS FOR LOSERS!

Hmmm... Took me one day.

Anonymous said...

I'd like to thank level 208 for letting me get some real stuff done in my life. I'm so bored with 208 that I can't even bring myself to struggle through the stupid level to try to pass it.

Anonymous said...

Passed in two days, but admit it is hard. Listen to what they say above and don't let the candy at the top distract you. Once you get a candy ball match it with a stripe asap..that will most likely clear the board and in some cases create new candy balls. It is a lot of luck, but aren't most of the levels. You eventually hit it.

Anonymous said...

After a day of playing this, I immediately thought to myself, "Oh, great. This is one of those bullshit levels I'm gonna be frustrated with for a week until I get that one lucky arrangement that finally lets me clear it." Several tries in, I set off a color bomb and a stripe. I had one color bomb on the screen and six moves left with nothing in sight. I decided to randomly start blowing candies up to finish the misery when, miraculously with three moves left and a string of random explosions, a wrapped candy landed next to the color bomb. I got lucky and I'm glad I'll never need to play this level again. I'm now dreading the infamous 213.

cat12h said...

Pure luck! Just finished this level doing the same things we all do, nothing special. Mind numbing days of just shifting candy. Not a hard level, just luck.

Anonymous said...

OMYGOSH! this level is so boring and it gives you NOTHING! if by chance you make the chocolate ball, rest assured you can't make a combo, let alone repeat a second time! I go and play the other levels that are much more entertaining! No amount of skill or strategy makes a hill of beans, only when or IF the game decides will I ever pass this level! after playing to get this far, I may quit altogether and find another game that atleast isn't so obviously keeping you stalled in such a boring place! this level is no fun AT ALL!

Anonymous said...

Tried, tried & tried, on the odd turn, can get candy balls but not the wrapped or striped to match with them. Lots of useless shuffling moves that go no where.Like me, lots of folks have posted, mainly due to frustration and hoping for some helpful clues but gee some of the pompous ass comments from the genius squads would put you off. In stead of gloating, maybe you might like to help us lesser intellectual folks? :)

Anonymous said...

agree with all the comments about how boring this level is. it's like a slot machine. a few people got lucky and got the right set-up after a couple of tries. but the majority of us have gotten frustrated, and then, worst of all for game developers, we got bored. boredom = waning interest. i used to play a few times a day but when i saw what this level was all about, i pretty much lost interest in the whole game.

Anonymous said...

came to this board to find some help on this level. seems all agree it's luck. toooo boring to wait weeks or months for a lucky setup. time to say goodbye and find another game. but i have to say it was fun while it lasted.

Anonymous said...

The video is a bloody joke. Have played over 100 games and NEVER got a starter even remotely like that. CC get real and show a vid of the usual start that you get, with 20 or 30 moves that go absolutely no where like I have been getting. Then show us how to finish it off & win from there?

Anonymous said...

this level ended my addiction to CC. i threw in the towel, but good luck to the rest of you.

Anonymous said...

it took me about 200 times but I got it after a couple of days.... good luck to you all, maybe I had some too.... and I didn't put any $$$$ cheers

This level is great! My favorite, definitely the best.
It made me realize how much time and money I was wasting.
Goodbye candy crush. \o/

Best comment so far!!! Now I will probably start spending some more time with my family

Anonymous said...

♥ Definitely agree with most people here on how impossible that level is. After 2 days, I thought eh, I don't feel like playing anymore seeing how hard it is. I often can easily match up 1 but not the wrapped one. Today I got the striped match but then the wrapped was a candy away from the color bomb!!! How that kills me! So I used that free hammer booster and killed it and matched it up to complete the level. Was I glad to get out of it! Crazy!

Anonymous said...

finallyi passed the level after reading this.. lol

Anonymous said...

I matched one or the other several times but never both until I caved and purchased booster with the check mark on it and won. Yep, King got me AGAIN!!!! Poop!

Anonymous said...

Most frustrating level ever. Only level that I've hit REFRESH to end the game. I've had one combo several times, can't get two. I've had several color bombs but can't get them next to a stripe or a packed. I'm on the verge of quitting forever too. It's been fun while it lasted, Candy Crush. Ain't fun anymore.

Anonymous said...

Just saw this fix. Anybody ever try it? It says you must use Google Chrome, tho, which I don't have. http://candycrushhelp.wordpress.com/free-level/

Anonymous said...

Candy Crush - seriously... this is the WORST level. Can't your developers give some thought to it? This is the point that I lost all my other friends playing, and I am now considering throwing in the towel. Week + without anything near getting one of the combo's needed. Ridiculous!!

I can completely relate to the frustration of everyone else on here... I'm tired of waiting on luck. I want to use my skill...which this level simply will not allow. So you will lose my money and my dedication.

I just reach 207 and see many friends staying at 208. So, I manage to review the comment first. I believe it is again a boring level.
Although I didn't start 208 yet, I start feeling want to quit the game because I found the game no fun at all. The so-called difficulty level is always the one which requires most luck. Your skill is not the critical factor but simply help you to increase the luck level a bit. A good game should be the one when you are able to finish a particular level, he/she should repeatedly do the same.

Anyway, maybe after a few tries on this level, i will uninstall the game as my favor "Plants Vs Zombies 2" is coming... :p

Leslie said...

I agree. This is boring just like 201. I didn't do anything special to win that level. Just the luck factor.

This level has made me quit playing the game. There is not one thing fun with pure luck - I would rather go to a casino with better odds.

Well it took me 24 hours and I didn't play it as much as I did other hard levels out of frustration, but with a fresh head, 2nd life today I got it., made my own choc ball on right top, stripe candy one move later, one move to get it aligned and tick one!!, the choc candy dropped down and to my disbelief i saw i cld just about make a wrapped candy and was so nervous I'd move the wrong way to create one, however I moved piece right, and then made my candy, one more move it sat on left of my choc ball, I admired it for a moment then it was OVER...I TRULY thought I'd not get past this level, it was a little boring maybe and I'll never go back and do it again..so don't give up...so long as i see friends above me have passed I plug on, i got through the next level first go..I just love that, however the next level will be a challenge, but i'll hv a go before I come here for hints..good luck crushers

I've been dreading this level since even before I hit the 200s because of the sheer number of people who complained about dreaded 208.

I passed it on the first day in less than 20 tries. Here it what helped:

1- I read all the comments and watched several videos
2- I decided that dropping the choc ball was key as it opened up the playing field
3- I kept refreshing the screen until I could play a screen where it was set up to drop the choc ball (hit back)

I was able to drop the choc candy and here is where it becomes PURE LUCK. A situation presented itself where I could make a striped candy in one move that I could then swap with the choc ball. At this point I was left with over 35 moves to create the next one. The swap created another choc ball since it got rid of all of one color. 4 moves later I was able to manuever a wrapped candy and the level was beat with 3 stars.

However, I did decide to go back and play 5 more times (reset the clock) and out of those 5 turns, 2x I was able to match one chocolate ball with one of the other special candies. Each time it was because the top choc ball dropped. Why try for 2 when one is given to you??
I feel because of this, that some skill is required to get one and luck for the second. Therefore I cant understand those who say they cant even get a single choc ball in 40 tries.

Hang in there. I hope this helps. I realize I could easily have been stuck here for weeks.

Hello,

Now i am stuck again with more difficult than 208

I am at 323 now...
amazing level, only given 25 move... i think it is sholud be with 35 move minimal, we are only given 25 move.

oh ya, for 323 need update candy crush first, after that
all candy can drop down full

and level almost 400, before update only 335

I too am tired of this game now. I have been stuck on this level for way to long. At least it cured my addiction and I am enjoying my days candu crush free. thanks candy crush for a horrible level and good bye!

Well I will keep playing a bit on this one. I can almost always get one of the combos completed. I have busted through all the levels up to now pretty easily so I consider myself pretty skilled as far as I plan and strategize, but yes this game gives better starting boards sometimes and I can practically predict at the beginning if it'll be a good round. This level is beneficial in that it wakes you up from your candy crushing stupor to see what you've been doing with your time and attention. It's like a meta level, a level that breaks the fourth wall, in case up til 208 you had any illusions of King being anything other than a profit generating enterprise. And I may spend money. I don't have expensive hobbies or vices so if the pain of spending a few bucks outweighs the pain and frustration of being stuck in something I really enjoy, then I buy a booster. It's still cheap fun. Will keep at 208 but I hope a dev reads these posts and they fix this level.

Anonymous said...

I just wrote the previous comment, and in my first attempt again at the level I beat it! When you enter the level, assess the board and only begin play if you can clearly see a way to make a vertical stripe candy that's directly below the color bomb. Then release the color bomb and hopefully you've used up less than five moves. If you can match that with a wrapper candy, the flood of new candy after that will often bring you another color bomb and some striped ones. I think only playing the game when you have assessed at the beginning whether this is a lucky starting arrangement is the only way to beat this level. And if you exit before making a move you do not lose a life. Good luck and keep trying. The next few levels after 208 return to the same satisfying play you're used to in Candy Crush so it's worth it to break through! If you play all the time like every day for an hour or more and have never spent money, just get the lollipop hammer and release the bomb once you've made a wrapper candy and save yourself some trouble! Why quit something you enjoy over a measly 2 bucks? The next levels after it are easy again so I'm having fun again. 😃

I was stuck on this level and thought I would never get it. I read the comments here and followed the advice of ignoring the middle chocolate and the very next time I tried it I won!!! This is so very scary!

Anonymous said...

Just deleted the app. I hope you lost a lot of gamers on this level.

Anonymous said...

I was about to throw the towel in on this one. It just seemed impossible. I was never even close and on many occasions couldn't even release the colour bomb. I lost count of how many times I played this level, but it must have been well over 100. It was SO dull and boring and I really said to myself, just five more tries and I'm giving up. Then miraculously the board was perfect. It was PURE luck - nothing to do with strategy or brains, the candies just fell into place. The next few levels are easy peasy (did them all in one go) and after the nightmare of 208, you feel like you're on holiday.

Seriously, are you kiddin me?... Ditto to all the above...i've tried all the tips, and you could spend hours refreshing the game and still get nothing. I have never seen a board even close to the example. The most i get is one color bomb with a stripe. Never do the wrapped candy or color bomb even come close to each other. Grrrrr, i've had it!!!!

Yep, this level was a deal breaker for me too. Loved the game in the beginning, then I became hooked but around the 180-200 levels it all started getting old. Then came level 208 and after a few weeks I have become so sick of the game that I couldn't care less about it a second longer.

For everyone having trouble with this level, don`t despair. Although it is a hard level it can be beaten. You might have to spend a dollar or two for boosters to do it. I got the colored ball and a lolipop hammer and beat it in about 10 tries.

Anonymous said...

Even if you can make a color bomb trying to get it close to a stripe or wrapped candy is impossible. Then I run out of moves and can only use the candies. Its ridiculous. I even broke down and bought some bombs and they ended up exploding on their own. Are these developers crazy??? Im so done with this boring shit

Anonymous said...

After reading comments, went back playing this level. Got it through with 13 moves at the 2nd try. Create color bomb first and then create other ones. This is not a timed game. You do not have to spend a life until you like the initial board. I strongly believe it is a game of randomness. Most of the time, it is dry. When it starts to drip, you just open it up and let it pour.

Anonymous said...

I played this for 1 day, took me about 4 hours to beat, I never pay for anything in this game and didn't with this level...... If you're on a phone you can see the board and exit if you don't like the setup and not lose a life and keep doing it until you see a possible chocolate setup that's what I did. Then the key is to match a chocolate with a wrapped candy. If you match with a striped then you will probably lose the floating chocolate at the top. Once you get that accomplished the second match is pure luck and some thinking in advance..... This level does suck and is very boring but isn't impossible. Don't give up

Anonymous said...

I do wish folks would stop complaining about not making the level and if they can't offer constructive just read and then get lost. Tired of wading through your complaints to quit the game. Quit already and leave us to enjoy it.

Anonymous said...

I'm so happy I did not listen to the comments and quit the game. At first I thought "oh gosh, people hate this level, I'll never pass" less than 24 hours later I did. With 3 stars, no help, as in paying the game for power ups.
I only used about 11 moved before I completed it. It is luck on this one, but you'll get it. Unlocking the top defiantly helped me.
Don't give up! Belive in yourself!
Happy cand crushing.

So I came to this site last night after spending weeks on this level, and to my surprise, people were having the same darn issues. Today I passed it and I've never been so proud of myself. Beware, this level will make u feel like its time to delete it because constantly repeating this level with only one more move to make before you get the requirement is very boring.

I started thinking strategically and decided to start the game ( hitting PLAY) and if I didn't like the board, I would "QUIT" before I made a move in order to keep my life. I wouldn't make my first move until I got a board with the opportunity to get a color bomb on my first move. This is the only way I was able to pass it. Make a color bomb yourself and match it with a wrapped candy and then use the given color bomb and match it with a stripped candy

Anonymous said...

Got a stripe and candy and the wrapper and candy. I saw the two types of reactions.... it did not cound the wrapper/candy combo. Wtf!

I could have swore I got it before, this confirms it. There is a glitch or something.

Oh and my game dumped 100 lives and extra moves. Poof back to zero. And yes I refreshed relogged into fb etc. Was still at level 208 also... unfortunately.

ok i dont understand why ev1 whining. i beat this with only like 30 tries. you HAVE to work for it. i made my own bombs ! just by taking my time. and ya it helped to have the right board cuz it took a whole lotta luck on this one. it can be done and you dont have to spend a dime on this free game! game was meant not only for fun but to teach everyone "patience" lol

This took me forever to beat. I attribute my ultimate success to 95% luck,, 2% skill, and 3% purchasing a hammer at the right moment. This was the level that made me almost give cc up forever, but I would play it once, maybe twice at a time. i even skipped some days. I wouldn't buy extra moves or anything cuz I was mad at the game. Then one time I got lucky. On the bright side, I had accumulated over 30 extra lives by the time I was able to move on. The next levels are fun. So if you can stand it and wait it out long enough you may get lucky too.

Ditto above, lame level.

I think it helps to hit the chocolate down mainly bc it open up the board a bit and your combos come easier and the way the caddy drops is predicable. Hopefully your two and two waiting for middle number five can receive the fifth and thus choc ball from the open tube. Sometimes I use the choc immediately to clear off ascertain color if it looks like finding the candy to match will take too many steps. Often a choc automatically generates.

But hate it. I love it when you are painstakingly forming a patern to build your special candy, then BOOM it all explodes and the guy is like "DELICIOUS!!!" and you're think, no, not delicious, lame you dumb level. Anyways. My next plan is to uninstall, wait, the reinstall maybe it will feel threatened and be nice, dumb demon level.

Best of luck
Tash

I know it's tough guys but hang in there and keep trying you 'll ultimately come across a board sometime that is suitable to make the ordered combination. I struggled a lot on this level but I was stuck on level 65 152 181 and 201 for longer periods of time. Just keep trying and don't let these comments get to you just hang in there. I ignored the chocolate ball at the top and made my own both times. Good luck u guys ignore negative comments and you 'll do it

Very difficult level. I'm not buying boosters since I can't even get one of the two tasks done in time. I guess one needs to get very lucky with the layout... It's not about skill anymore :-(

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the tips - I ignored the top one at start instead of trying to get the top color bomb down first I ignored it and got a combo easy enough. Got color bomb and striped match which cleared half the board and made the top bomb drop. Its very hard to make another combo near that once it drops down so just used it to clear one color and set up easy finish with 23 moves left! Thank you!

What a bunch of whingers.

I did this level in about 3 days, and did it in 11 moves.

Granted, this level does rely more on luck than skill, but you still need to set up the moves correctly.

It's only a game. If you are fed up with it, find something else to do.

Anonymous said...

The problem with level 208 is not thats it's incredibly difficult but rather the behavior of the game changes to put you at a disadvantage. I have come close to completing it many times but when I got to make the winning move the piece don't behave the same way they have on 207 other levels. For example on more than a few occasions I have moved a packet next to the dotted bomb candy and the dotted bomb candy has triggered preventing me from swiping the two together. On other occasions I have moved a stopped candy next to the dotted bomb candy to line it up for a winning move only to have the stripped candy slip off the board. I don't know if this is a bug but it's enough for me to pull the plug on this game. King probably earned about $30 from me and it was worth it. I've enjoyed playing the game but I've gone as far as I am going to go. I'm out.

I just had the strangest thing happen. After days and days of attempts at Level 208, trying to fill the 2 orders, this morning the orders were changed! I was required to get 2 chocolate bombs and 10 striped candies. I beat it on the first attempt. Maybe the powers that be at Candy Crush felt sorry for me--dunno--but SOOOOO happy to be done with that frustrating level!

Anonymous said...

Hey!!!! Mine just changed too!!! But I need 10 stripes and 4 color bombs!!!!

You're right--it was 4 color bombs instead of 2. So it was 4 color bombs and 10 stripes. My mistake.

Anonymous said...

I finally got annoyed trying to make something happen and just played the bottom middle of the board. Color bombs and striped and wrapped just came up without too much effort. Finished it off in a day with this strategy.

Anonymous said...

I played for 2 days on the strategy to try to free the color bomb on the top with no luck, today I come and think to myself “screw the top color bombs” I am going to make mine, played in the bottom and passed the 2nd time. Don’t be distracted by the color bomb in the top, doesn’t worth to burn the moves to blow it up.

Anonymous said...

Here is a tip that helped me pass this level. You need to have available 3 pink lollipops and a multi coloured ball that you can select to use at the start of the level. As you probably don't have these available to use you can obtain them free of charge by resetting your game progress in the game settings and playing the first 2 episodes again in which you will obtain these items and it doesnt take long cos the levels are so easy but ensure to keep playing until you obtain these boosters. (WARNING ... BEFORE RESETTING YOUR GAME YOU MUST CONNECT TO FACEBOOK TO SYNC YOUR GAME PROGRESS OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING ! Providing you have successfully done this first then you can ignore the warning that all progress will be lost with confidence). Once you have them then go back to the game settings and select connect to Facebook and once connected your game will synchronize and your be back at this bastard level armed with your goodies that you have just collected. I didn't actually select my multi coloured bomb at the beginning of the level and was able to use the one at the top of the board and create another myself followed by a striped and wrapped candy but I wouldn't of been able to align them up next to my multi-coloured bombs without the help of my three pink lollipop hammers. However don't go wasting them unless you know you have enough moves left to activate them once in position. Don't forget that you can also select to use the multi-coloured bomb at the start of the level that you collected earlier as your half way there then at the start of the game and you can use this tatic again and again to obtain these free boosters to help you at another level. Good Luck !

I'm not complaining, because it is my choice to play or not, but I'm very disappointed in this level! I've LOVED it up to Level 208 and play several times a day. BUT, no more. This level is sooooooooo boring! I am even to the point that with about 10 moves to go and nothing happening AT ALL, I just go ahead and end the game and start over. I can't even get the original ball to fall! But thanks for helping me with my budget, because at least I won't be spending any more money on this! Lol

Anonymous said...

Re post from 9th Sep at 9.10 - I use both a PC and a Samsung Tablet, however the tip given was not done on the PC but you must connect the game to Facebook first so that your current progress is saved online and then you can reset the game on your portable device as many times as you like but as soon as you connect your game to facebook again it will reset back to the correct level but keeping any boosters you gained. These boosters will only be available to use on the device used to play the game. When you choose to reset the game it automatically logs you out of facebook first but just double check to be safe. I was nervous first time I tried it too but had no problems. :-)

Belinda said...

PERSIST!!!

Best tip I read from this blog is to IGNORE the chocolate that is already on the board.

Try to just move the candies around the bottom of the board and ignore the ones at the top. If you try to match the ones at the top you are wasting moves because you are less likely to create wrapped and striped candies up there.

I visited this blog two days ago for tips, frustrated and about to give up. In just two days of using the suggestions given, I finally broke through this level.

Anonymous said...

Done for now... I'm just bored. I do't know how CC expects to keep players with levels like this. I am good at this game, but you can't hit the c ball with a stripe unless it's directly below because they placed it so high. The columns are too narrow to make many c balls, wrapped, or striped. Even when very focused and trying to make c balls, when the patterns don't fall, there is nothing you can do. Boo - hiss. I'm done.

Seriously, to everyone who is "going to quit the game"- grow up. It's a hard level, yeah. I'm stuck on it too. But there are way more people than us who have beaten it. You are pissed because you can't beat it. It clearly is beatable, so shut up and keep trying. The makers of this game don't give a fuck if you delete it or not.

Anonymous said...

Another mind numbingly boring level that all depends on luck. Interesting that the PC board requires something different from the iPad and IPhone. One thing I've found while playing - you usually get the best board the first time on a level so read the hints first.

Anonymous said...

I see that it's different on this level on the laptop than it is on the phone. I'm afraid that even if I finish it on the phone or the laptop, it won't update on the other. This level is absolutely the most difficult I've run across and one level, I was stuck on for a month. I may stop playing this game. :(

The Ed said...

Unlike everyone else I didn't find this level particularly difficult. Stuck for about half a day and nailed it in 7 or 8 games. Trick is to form your own bomb and mix it with a striped candy. That should get you atleast 10 striped candies and release the bomb at the top so you only need to make 2 further bombs yourself - difficult but not impossible. Due the design of the board I found it much easier to make bombs vertically than horizontally. Try also to focus on the candies that are most numerous - ie if the board is full of yellow and purple then try and keep those colours on the board and eliminate other colours thus increasing your odds of making bombs...

Anonymous said...

It changed on my computer but not on my phone. I guess it should be easier now?

Had been on this level for a day maybe, came to this board and read the comments and won the very next game. On advice of some on the board, I took my strategic focus away from freeing the center speckled ball and tried to make my own. Ended up making a wrapped candy first and kept trying to line up the five of same color in a row to get some chocoballs. Didn't always work out but cascades were lucky and just happened to get a vertical striped candy at the bottom of the shoot to combine and free the chocoball. By this time I had three chocoballs on the board and made my combos with 20 moves to spare. Just have fun with the challenge although its mostly luck.

Anonymous said...

Been trying all day then came to this board and passed 1st time on iphone after reading comments. Don't waste a lot of moves trying to free the middle chocoball, just try and make your own and with luck you'll free the center ball. I ended up having 3 chocoballs on the board and by the time I had my two combos to fill order I had 20 moves let to spare.

Here's what I've noticed:

When I'm stuck on a level (including this tricksy 208, that I just managed to pass), every time it asks me if I liked this level from "wohoo" to "boring"....if I hit "boring", usually within 1-2 rounds I "miraculously" win. (That's a lot of " ".) 208 took 3 or 4 times of "boring", but a few others were within 1-2 plays of the first time I rated it that way. Just an idea!

2. I was able to make more color bombs and finished the board.

Again - I was lucky, I know :)

1st try on this level wasnt really paying attention (wathching tv). Got color bomb and striped combo. Swiped my last turn and realized i had a color bomb and wrapped next to eachother but missed it. No big deal this level seemed easy enough. 3 weeks later and still have not beat this level

Wow...I always read the comments for each level, but this one has the most-by far! I guess it's a nice, harmful way to "vent" but don't blame the developers...they try their best-can't please anyone and-although some levels are EXTREMELY difficult-they need to make it challenging!

I finally completed this level after about 50 tries. The tips really do help, but you have to have patience!

FINALLY!!! Passed this level after weeks and weeks. Agree with all the comments including luck! I was just lucky!

That's it, I've had it with Candy Crush - level 208 is 99% luck - No longer fun. Maybe it's because I won't spend money. Thought I'd done it once but the move I made did something totally different instead

Naaa. Like somebody already said: fuck the developer who designed this level. No reason to have normal levels and nearly impossible ones.

Played for 2 days got down to wanting 1 striped candy twice then completed with 3 moves left. Not as difficult as I was expecting from all the comments.

What do you have to do to get rid of the color bomb at the top? Not happy with this level. Ready to call it quits along with many others, and I am not a quitter. This game is no longer fun.
