Candy Crush Saga Level 221.

How to pass level 221 Candy Crush Saga..
New Version. No Boosters.
By Cookie

This level has been changed and is a lot easier than it used to be as there are no bombs to worry about.
You have to move the fruit down the left hand column by using stripes, colour bombs or strip/wrap combos.. These you have to make on the main part of the board so when you match them they will destroy candies in the column and move the fruit down.

♥ Got it on my first try and then again. Just get color ball + Striped candy. Easy.

Oh my gosh!! I got TWO color bombs together and still couldn't beat this level. I'm really thinking about quitting this game if all levels are impossible like this, it's just no fun! And they'll miss out on all the $$$ I spend too!

Did anyone else have the same screen each time?

Yup two choc balls which was not easy to achieve, however when i did get them it worked first go..but took me about 30 lives to get this combo..thanks for the hint

Persevere! The right candies will eventually fall. Vertical stripes x colour ball and then horizontal stripes near the top of the main board. Easier said than done but you just have to persevere. This is a great game!

I Cleared Board But Fell Short On Points. FRUSTRATING!!!

@justme - that's what happened to me on so many levels! I achieve the objective on a very frustrating level, only to discover that I still lost the level because I didn't get the target score - heartbreaking!

Completed it in 1st try. Had 2 colours in the left section and just deleted them with 2 coloured chocolates. They don't have to go together.

I came here because I thought this was turning in to an impossible level, but immediately after reading and hoping to get two color bombs, I ended up with a color bomb next to a stripe and it cleared the whole thing in the one move.

It may have been luck but this move is usually a lot easier than two bombs so give it a try. Good luck!

Beat this on first try. Color ball and stripe did it.

I started with what looked like the dream board. Able to make a colour bomb in my first move. Then on my second move, another colour bomb fell down, out of nowhere and landed right next to the first. How good is that? Yep, it cleared one ingredient straight off. Then soon after, I got another colour bomb next to a striped candy. Moved things along nicely, I thought I had it made. But I still had 2 candies at the bottom to wipe out. Do you think I could get horizontal striped candies down there in time? No matter howhard I tried, I only got one more candy eliminated, then end of game.
I find a colour bomb/stripe are great, 2 colour bombs do wonders, a striped and wrapped is pretty good, 2 wrapped doesn't do a lot except add to your score.
'm still not through, despite some boards that started well. Maybe I am just a crap player, but it isn't a real easy level. On the plus side-no chocolate or timers or multilevel candy to wipe out, thank god.
A more fun level than some I could name!

I'm not through. Only tip so far-don't save your colour bombs or special candy too long, trying to manouvre then together. If you can't do it in a couple of moves, just use them. Things explode very easily in this level no matter how hard you check and you will just waste them if you hold onto them too long.

There's a simpler version on Facebook? I played the original version on my tablet and got it in thirteen tries (no boosters, extra moves or anything). It was pretty obvious that the trick is lots of horizontal blasters near the top of the board, but to win, you need s sparkle-ball/striped candy combo, and that striped candy had to be the same colour as one in the column where the ingredients are, preferably with the ingredients shown. Finally, I was able to get this, but when I made the swap, the candy below the ingredients blasted sideways! However, there were enough vertical blasters in the main part of the board to allow the ingredients to fall and clear the level. The bomb at the start of the level has a counter one less than the available moves, so unless you're late in the level and have a chance to make it, you can ignore the bomb. If you take out the comb, subsequent bombs won't detonate until well after you run out of moves. Maybe I should try the Facebook version of this level and see if it is easier.

I have no problem completing the level, have done so several times but can't get more than 2 stars and I want 3! I keep trying but I don't know how to gain more points. Even if I clear the ingredients with about 20 moves left the points only crawl up. Am I missing something?

I've been playing this level for over a week with every possible combination, multiple times. I can't get more than 2 of the 3 ingredients dropped. Double cholocate balls don't work. Checked out other cheats and it appears my board is different (showing only 2 ingredients and shorter left hand row). Is anyone seeing the same thing?

I want 3 stars too. How is the best way to get points on this level ?

i dropped all ingredients with 21 moves left and STILL did not get three stars...infuriating

Not that hard but only two stars. Need luck to get chocolate bombs plus striped candies.

I haven’t seen a comment from anyone about the ingredients falling down together. I’ve found that if your first move doesn’t mess with the left column. The three ingredients will fall together - thus making a win easier. I always make my first move on this level one that will now cause any damage to the left column. Usually one at the top. If you damage the left column significantly,on the first move,, you will cause the ingredients to have candies in between them - thus making your win more difficult
I use this level routinely to get sugar drops as I can win it every time. It’s also a good one to have consecutive wins.
