Candy Crush Saga Level 414

How to pass level 414 Candy Crush Saga
The most difficult jellies to destroy are the two at the bottom which are separated from the rest of the board, and the one in the middle on its own.
All these tricky jellies can be cleared using a well placed stripe/stripe combo, a stripe/ wrap combo or a colour bomb.
There is also a stripe at the bottom which will help with those 2 bottom jellies.
The popcorn in the middle needs to be hit 3 times with stripes or stripe/wrap combos. Better still is if you can get a wrap sitting just above the popcorn and set it off as this will give you 2 hits on the popcorn.
Once you have the colour bomb in the middle you will have to hit it again with a stripe or wrap to use it, then you will be left with a single jelly which can be cleared with any combo or a colour bomb. You can hit the colour bomb with a lolly hammer if you have one too.
As you can see the middle square needs hitting a lot of times to eventually clear it!
Try to work in the bottom half of the board as much as possible to take advantage of any cascades clearing jelly for you. Remember to look at the whole board before every move so you don't miss any chances for good combos or special candies.
If you have a jelly fish booster from the wheel that will be helpful in getting the tricky jellies.

lollipop doesn't work on the corner jellies for me. has anyone else tried?

Has to be a candy in the jelly.

Surprised there are not a lot of comments here. After close to a week of trying I just got home...logged into facebook cause there's NO UPDATE YET ON IPHONE...grr...Low and behold, 1st attempt..1 vertical stripe down on centre followed by a choc freckle that appeared straight onto YUP A GREEN stripe, and yes my centre square was green...My board was full of green so it took out the bottom corners each side too and nearly cleared the board! I was left with 3 jellies, actually 2 squares...and with 24 moves left, I was so nervous to get this out and bang my red stripe was so close and with no moves around it OMG..I eventually managed a wrapped on top that dropped next to the stripe with 4 moves left and the whirlpool annoying buzzer didn't swallow my move!! Yay so so happy

Very frustrating level. Doesn't seem to be much room for strategy - got to hope for luck :(

Color bomb and striped combo did the trick after a few tries, and there are 15 moves left when I beat it.
I really hate the new element, twist candy. It limits the choices of moves and you rely on your luck more and more. This takes the fun away and more like gambling instead of a game.

Agree with Shawn. The more I advanced in the game, the more luck became the major factor. And that twisting thing is a perfect example of this.

While waiting for new levels on my Android, I played some of the pre-100-levels again, and I have to say, those levels are a lot more fun, and have a lot more to do with skill instead of sheer luck.

I've been extremely frustrated with this level for days. I had everything all set up for a striped bomb combo and the twister wiped out my stripe. Another time it took out my color bomb. That twister seems to purposely pick the one move that you need to finish the level. I've been down to one or two candies dozens of times on this level, and the twister seems to make sure you can never finish it.

Android updated today. Levels upto 425 available now. Let's get started!!!

Just completed with a lot of luck.

was able to pass with three stripe/wrapped combos - good luck !

yep.. this one may be the end for me.. it's just really tedious. I usually don't even use my 5 lives before I get bored with it. if you don't luck out at the beginning with a good combo or two, you're pretty much done.

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than taking out the toffee tornado with a combo! At least I get a few moves peace before it returns. On my second try, I had one jelly left in the center of the board. Didn't realize it until Sugar Crush failed to appear! Frustrating! Concentrate on clearing the stand alone jellies in the middle and the bottom corners. The rest seem to clear on their own. Haven't been able to get a sprinkle/stripe combo as I'm afraid the tornado will eat the sprinkle!

Fun but passable level! What I have done were:
* I unfroze the frozen striped candy then shot it tight thru the 2 side jellies. I made a color bomb and exchange it with a random color candy. 2 more striped candies were form in the lower middle portion i combined it and cleared the 2 side jellies clean along with the middle jelly.
* When the cyclone destroys your one goid move, make a backup move or plan every move must clear a jelly.
* i produced another color bomb that cleared every jelly.
Good luck! - LEI

combos are impossible on this level. I barely get even 3 colours. its getting very boring

Total luck on this one. No skill! Every time I tried to set up combos, those twisters killed them. It's like they knew my plan! I finally got it!!! This is one level I will never plat again. I do not like the twisters at all. Like someone else pointed out, they make the level more like slot machines than skill games.

Grrrrrrr.....I can not ever get the two bottoms and centered cleared!!! I have a few times but with one jelly somewhere and can't make a move around that jelly!!!! It's getting old.....

Anonymous said...

i am also surprised there are not more comments on this level. Seems almost impossible..each time I think I have conquered it, I am left with one or two jellies. So frustrating.

Anonymous said...

Had 1 left in the middle on my first try and completed the level on my second try. Had 2 vertical stripes on the bottom middle which ended up clearing the middle tile.

Anonymous said...

ok so whoever said that the little tornado thing goes after your striped candy is 100% correct, this has happened to me 3 games in a row now...I purchased the stupid sprinkle candies and the first game i played i made one move and got the sprinkle next to the stripe and as soon as the tornado moved guess where it went, right on the striped candy. Second time I played it did the exact same thing and the third time it took the sprinkle candy. I've about had it with this crap.

Anonymous said...

I feel totally inept on this level. Not able to do much more than follow one or two move options throughout the game.

Anonymous said...

How do you get 43 moves?

luckylau said...

I bought the lollipop and the 5 extra moves because I had 2 moves left..the lollipop did not work on the corner jelly asked for my payment back...this level is a pain. that darn tornado seems to know exactly where your next move is that will finish the game..the middle and the corner jellies are tough to get. like the other levels before this will keep on crushing...

Anonymous said...

Very funny video. It virtually never wipes out a striped or combo with a tornado. Totally different to the games I have played where the tornado takes out every special candy possible. Go figure!!

Anonymous said...

Found this level quiet easy, got it out on 3rd go,make combos where possible and I'm sure luck plays a part..
Good luck...

This level is tricky, but not impossible.

Like many levels, if you can make a special candy, do it. With each turn, look to see if you can make a special before you make a move. Sometimes, you'll want to use a special instead of make a new one, but just take your time.

Tips: You get a free horizontal stripe at the bottom, so if you can use it effectively, you'll get one layer off the corners. Just try not to use any other horizontals you make and try to work them to the bottom.

The middle block is annoying and tricky. You can take it out with striped candies, but it is MUCH easier to use a wrapped candy. Watch the top two quadrants and make wrapped candies whenever you can. If you can make it or get it into the inside corner next to the center, then setting it off will take out most of the jellies on the entire level. Because it blows up twice, the middle will be completely cleared in one move.

If you can blow up a wrapped candy in the center and get two horizontals across the bottom, the rest of the jellies mostly go away as you make matches and you should win. YES, this takes some luck BUT if you watch for/set up wrapped candies near the middle and work horizontals to the bottom, you will get it eventually. Once I started on this specific strategy, I beat it quickly (I think 10 tries or so).

PS: Ignore the toffee tornado. It isn't worth "wasting" a special to take it out. If it eats something you need, that's bad luck, but more often than not, it eats something you DON'T want and sets up a better switch for you. It's just that you only notice it when it takes out something you wanted.

I love this episode ,but need help clearing the jelly in the middle ,so far after 5 attempts I have got down to one jelly ,just that middle one holding me back .the toffee tornado is clever .

Seems to be imposible for me. I just cant make any special combos at all. Sad.

Anonymous said...

for long time i couldnt do this had a lot of luck with way the candies fell and was actually able to make combos wrap n stripped 3 times did trick

Anonymous said...

Special combos r a great idea but almost impossible to make and combine! No what I should do but haven't had board that allows me to do it!

This is the absolute worst level EVER!!!
I think it is time to give up

Crappy annoying level. Pure luck got me down to one jelly with 10 moves left. Had middle and side ones gone, just one near bottom left of main area. Was down to 3 moves and absolutely no ability to break it. Wound up buying a lollipop just to get rid of this level. Rarely ever buy boosters, so ticked off at this. On ipad. Wonder if easier on pc.

Weirdest thing ever, almost out of moves so didn't think I''d get through but kept playing....and playing...and playing. 68 extra moves later I passed. What happened here? NOt complaining of course.

The first thing to bear-in-mind here is you cannot make virtual candies on the outside columns. The second thing is the two isolated candies at the bottom left and right need to be hit twice each.

Tip: Try to create virtual candy close to the left and right sides and then try to move them to outside columns (this is not always easy, or possible in many cases).

Tip: A stripped / wrapped combination near to the outside edges will also do the trick. Remember if your stripped / wrapped combination is on the second and third columns in from the outside edges, move the candy in the third column onto the one in the second, otherwise your miss the isolated candy at the bottom.

The tips above will hit the isolated candies once, if the horizontal stripped candy positioned at bottom center can be set off this will hit isolated candies once more.

After the isolated candies are cleared its fingers crossed time you get the rest of the board cleared.

Again, as others as said, ignore the whirlpool…

This level might be it for me. At this level we all know how to play the game. Levels like this that depends strictly on luck is no fun at all. My daily spin wheel doesn't work anymore. To complete this level requires boosters or a lot of luck...I don't have either. So long.

Anonymous said...

You need a lucky board along with some skill. Don't forget a vertical stripe can kick off a horizontal stripe in the same column.

For example, the move that won the game for me. I had a green H stripe at the bottom that I needed to clear the outside jelly. I didn't have any green moves around it, but there was a red V stripe close to the top in the same column. I was able to play the red V stripe and it kicked off the green H stripe and cleared the remaining jelly.

A friend who is many games ahead of me said the whirling things aren't around for long. They are already around too long for me!!'

Anonymous said...

These whirly things r driving me nuts! Ready to pack it in. This is not even fun!

Anonymous said...

I got all the jellies, playing on my iPhone, and it didn't recognize the level as being cleared !!! So frustrating.

Anonymous said...

Well, as the first person posted , I took a chance and wasted 2 lollypops only to have the bottom right corner (jelly only) hammer proof ! lesson learned. Off I go for more adventures.

Anonymous said...

Fish candy from the daily free wheel spin did the trick for me.

Absolutely ridiculous level that makes you want to buy boosters. I had no money to buy anything so I used free fish (no luck), free sprinkles (no luck), free striped/wrap (no luck), my last lollipop (no luck), my last hand (no luck). So, I lost everything I had and just kept plugging away waiting for a lucky board thinking this could be the end of my cc days. I think I must have played 100 games and then I got lucky and got it out with one move left. Basically just well positioned striped, nothing else. I tried hard to get a second stripe to that bottom row, and it worked. I used a vertical striped and a horizontal striped to wipe out that middle one. So glad to move on.

I hate this level! I have used all my stored color bonds, fish & lollipops & still can't beat it!! I have been trying daily for over a week. Guess it's time to find a different game.
