Forget it if one of the mystery eggs changes to chocolate, it's nigh on impossible.

I beat this level with combos of chocolate bombs and striped candies.

Eventually cracked it with 14 moves left

Not overly hard, unless you get a chocolate in your mystery candy, but still, the color bombs/stripe and stripe/wrapper combos are super easy to get.
This one was, overall, pretty easy.

i've been stuck on this one for more than a week! i've come close (1 jelly left) a few times, but all i can say is WTF. this level SUCKS! when i do manage to make color bombs, i get a bomb (that i have no hope of clearing) in the bottom. glad you had good luck luck, mike c. *wish you could send some my way! :)

2 Chocobombs works wonders on this level and it's not too difficult to get.

finally passed after getting two wrapped combos and a chocolate ball/stripe combo - not enough moves otherwise

FWIW, I passed the first try, and my first mystery that I hit was a chocolate. I made a number of striped / wrapped, as well as choco's. Never give up until the round is done.

Totally agree with Brian. Don't give up if you get chocolate!! I had the whole bottom row full of chocolate and only a few moves left. I managed a stripes combo which burst one chocolate. Pure luck came into play and I played a choco/stripe combo and finished the level.

I agree with the comments above. I do best when I focus on getting a sprinkle/stripe combo as soon as possible. I also discovered if I get two wrapped candies at the bottom of the big section, the explosion will impact the bottom tube somewhat. I've gotten down to one jelly but haven't passed it yet. I think the bombs are worse than the chocolate, though they don't appear often. Happy crushing!

I would just be happy to get 3 of the same color in the very bottom row. Playing on the I phone 5

For me this was a horrible level. Whenever I was just there (2 or 3 candies to go), a chocolate surprise or a bomb appeared in the lower bar, than it is really hard and frustrating. In my opinion you need at least 3 chocolate bombs with a stripe combined. Strange (again), I tried it ± 40 times on my iPhone but finished the 3rd time on my PC (with no boosters).
Anyway, keep on trying, you will also survive this level: I did, so you can do it as well!
Good luck from the Netherlands

I have just laughed my head off watching the video in disbelief at the incredible moves they got. Please please let me have one of those boards!!!

this was extremely hard, ended us using the free booster fish combined with a good board and several sprinkle chocolate bombs was able to pass! good luck!

Concentrate on getting sparkly/striped combinations. You need at least two to have any hope of clearing this level. Early vertical blasters to clear the licorice helps as well to open up the bottom row. Wrapped/striped combos in the middle of the board do not help much, especially a second one.

cherylcandycrush here.

I feel a bit inadequate here as it isn't proving all that easy for me.

On one of my turns, I had 3 (yes, 3!!) double colour ball combos, these ones that blast everything in sight. PLUS I had 2 wrap/stripe combos, yet I was still left with 6 jellies at the end. The main problem there was one of the special candies I exposed down the bottom was worse than a bomb, worse than chocolate. It was one of those square meringue/jam type cakes, with about 6 layers to it.

Oh well, I will keep plugging away and use a lollipop hammer should I ever get down to one jelly.
Wish me luck!!

Talk about a coincidence, I just got through it.

The trick isn't so much what special combos you make. I made one colour ball/stripe, which was good, but nowhere near as good as the stuff I have made in earlier games.

What matters is what deal you get in the special surprise candies down the bottom. All mine were good ones, but the pivotal one was a horizontal striped candy.
If you get one of those and can set it off, either by matching candies or a colour ball/stripe combo that blasts it into action, you are almost home and hosed.
I was left with one see through jelly in the right hand column & 7turns still left. Didn't hesitate-lollipop hammer time.

But it is what you get in that bottom line of surprise candies that makes all the difference, I am convinced of that.

My suggestion is to save your wraps and stripes. One you trigger one it triggers the others and saves you valuable moves. If you get a sprinkle, mix it with a stripe only. Took me 15 lives to get this one out.

Only way chocolate bomb plus striped candy twice. Very tedious level.

I tried this about 30 times on my iPad and was getting nowhere till I chose to start the game with a bonus fish. I then finished the game with 23 moves left. Go figure! Its not the first time I've wondered if the board improves when you invest a little...

don't be in a big hurry to get to level 452. If you think this is hard, you NEED to see level 452. On level 452, you need to make 80 striped candies while having to break open licorice locks and you battle chocolate too.
