Candy Crush Saga Level 480

Hints and tips for level 480 Candy Crush saga
Match near the stripes at the bottom to unlock them, then switch the top two together downwards so you get two blasts sideways which will clear half the licorice.
Then you need to try to make stripes and stripe/wrap combos.
Once you get the special candies you will have to get them into a position so that when you switch them they will hit the bottom parts of the board where the licorice and jelly is.
It is not easy to make special candies on level 480 as there are six colours on the board so you will need to look very carefully at the board so you don't miss any chances.
Stripe/wrap combos are best but if you can get a colour bomb with a stripe that may do some damage too.

Is it luck?
I'm stuck.

Two color bomb and stripped combos helped me beat this level!

Anonymous said...

Could not have beat this level without color bombs and wrap & strip combinations.
It took about 10 tries.
Good luck! PM

Boring level :(

Wasn't really that bad, only took about 3 or 4 tries. Color bombs and stripes, and wrap and stripes. Pretty basic for anyone who's managed to get to level 480.

Not getting even remotely close to passing this level. Most moves I've only got one or maybe two moves I can make, so it's really hard to plan ahead and get combinations. Just feel like I'm randomly shuffling candies. Sigh...

Watching your videos is like watching paint dry. You take so long to make moves

Baking_Pan said...

Paint dry, huh? But yet he is past this level... And presumably you are here for help - so perhaps you are making your choices too quickly... just a thought - learn from the master.

What a stupid level it certainly must be just getting a lucky board. I have been on this one for days !!!! not even close i have thrown everything at the 2 boxes and still i am not out, Ive had wraps stripes colour bombs all sorts still cant move the boxes.

25 October 2013 15:05...I agree with you. And when I do manage to get a wrapped stripe combo, it's not in a position to do any damage. Pretty boring just making match 3s. Yawn.

I think this level is crazy cannot pass it; been on it for days; I am so tired of looking at this stuff...for those who have passed it, please, please give suggestions because the video looks easy but definitely its not easy. this is a weird one for me.Good luck to all., Happy Thanksgiving crushers.

Been stuck on this one for about a week now. I've have striped, striped / wrapped, chocolate bomb / striped. But nothing helps. Closest I've gotten is two jellies, but then of course the game stops giving me moves I can use.

Help! Horrible level!

Anonymous said...

It's official ...candy crush hates me! I'm ready to quit...480 is impossible!

Ann said...

Yet another annoying level! NO skill involved...strictly luck!! The only good thing about it is NO BOMBS!!! And you don't have to make wrapped candies!!! Lol
I'm just waiting for the "perfect" board to bless me... Until then BORING!! 8-\

Anonymous said...

Yeah I agree, too that it's a boring level.
You can't do anything unless you get a good set.

So here, I decided to slow down and spend less time for cc.

This level has no skill at all. I am now at a stage where I can't be bothered. There are plenty of similar games out there now. All good fun. I think I have no choice but to say bye to fellow Candy Crushers. Xx

Anonymous said...

Yes this level sucks but, just think, there are only 20 more after this and the game is done. King has not added levels for weeks and weeks. This may be the end of the road. Why quit now, after making it this far? Come on guys! We have all faced boring levels before. Overall, this episode has been one of my favorites in awhile. Especially after the one before this! That episode took me longer to complete than any other in the entire game! I have played this level once. I only got one wrapped/stripe combo and ended up with 5 jellies left.

Anonymous said...

The closest I've gotten is two jellies left. One thing that helps, in addition to a sprinkle/stripe combo is to get a a wrapped/wrapped combo down near the bottom. It clears some of the jellies because of the large explosion. Happy crushing!

Chrissie said...

Why does the jelly in the two bottom corners not break like the ones in the middle do?

This last game I've hit them with three different combinations and it takes all those to maybe just get through one layer!

They must be three layers thick!

I've never known jellies so hard to destroy.

I'm on about my 60 th game now and the most I've reached is 12 out of the 17 needed....

Just got to wait for that lucky board I suppose as in the past nasty game.....

Some good ones previous on this level though.....very enjoyable - thank you.

Chrissie said...

Just to tell you my lucky board came along and I did it with 23 moves to spare!

Two combinations of colour bombs and stripes making siure there were lots of colours on the board each time.

So hang on in there........

I finally passed this on Saturday! I got two sprinkle stripe combos and when I got down to one jelly, I used my lollipop hammer. So satisfying! Was stuck here for over a week!

Anonymous said...

Like so many others I am stuck on this level. I can't even come close. It is also very frustrating and not a lot of fun. After getting by the last few levels without any problems I kept waiting for the next difficult one. Will keep looking for a lucky board.

Anonymous said...

I am hating this level. I have had as many as 3 sprinkle and stripe combos and not even close. I have even had 2 sprinkles together and than a sprinkle stripe and get can't this level. Definitely not fun anymore.

Anonymous said...

Finally got this level after 3 days. I only had 1 speckled and stripe combo but had horizontal stripes that took out the 2 corner boxes. Try to get the horizontal 33stripes that can take out the boxes. Glad to be done with this one.

Anonymous said...

Was glad that I got a lollipop at the daily bonus.....tired of this level so I used it to clear the last pesky jelly.....Janine

hockeygoon96 said...

Very much a luck type level. I got 2 sprinkle/stripe combos and some various vertical stripes several games to get it down to 1 jelly left with a couple of moves. Had to use the lollipop hammer to get the last one. Thank goodness for the daily booster wheel.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the majority. Getting totally bored out of my brain. No other level tops this one for boredom. Every possible
vertical combo is in rows 3 to 7 and every horizontal is in rows 1/2 or 8/9 and almost impossible to bring down to the center rows. Any wraps are of little use unless adjacent to the licorice and a stripe is near. Similarly a choc ball does nothing much at all if one is lucky to get one. Guess I soldier on hoping that the lucky board is nigh. Best score is 15 of 17 twice out of some 140 attempts. How Boring!!!

Leslie said...

I finally got all the combos I needed to blast through the bottom with 1 jelly left so many times, that I finally used the free lollipop to take out the last one.

Anonymous said...

Very tedious. Only five more levels to the end ...on iPad...which is a good thing because levels like this make me want to walk away. Lots of aimless 3 candy combos with no available strategy. Too many colors, I think.

About another post about the speed of the video.....I like that they do take time in between moves so that I can see what I would do and compare it to what they do. It helps me learn!
Keep up the great blog! It has helped me thru many levels!! This one has me stuck. I may try it on my laptop instead of my mobile device, maybe I can beat it there!

Anonymous said...

have been stuck for a while now, came close just now, only needed one...so frustrating....

Anonymous said...

Wow, this is a horrible level. I didn't like it, you need such a lucky board for this one to clear. Managed to clear it in 2 days, 50/60 tries, which is way to much I think... haha!

In the beginning I worked on wrapped/stripe combos in the middle 3 rows, but these are nearly inpossible to get down there where you need them to explode..

So I started working on colour/stripe combos. These are possible to get, but you need 3/4 of these to get this level done.

Make sure that the colour of the stripe is in the 2 outside rows. No need to have this one explode when you don't have enough of these colours in the 2 outside rows. So, make some combinations in the outside rows to have more of the colours of the stripe candy to make sure they don't all go horizontal, in stead of what we wish: vertical!

Good luck from the Netherlands!

Please fix this site. It no longer works on the iphone 5. I like to read it when I am out of lives. You can not pinch the screen to get acesss to the levels/game number to read the comments. Please maintain this site on the phone as it is excellant site but I hardly ever use the PC. Thank you for all the great comments and tips.

This is a hard level have tried everything even 2 chocolate sprinkles together. So far all the games in Cherry Chateau have been pretty simply compared to the the last few.

Also I found a different site and sorry to let you all know but there are 515 games as of today. They just haven't sent the app update yet. LOL

Thanks for everything but please fix this site for the Iphone 5.

Anonymous said...

Having same problem as previous person. The screen freezes up on the I phone 5. You can not scroll left or right to get to the individual levels to read the comments.

Just beat this level Had tried everything no luck. I have quite a stockpile of daily spins lots of fish. I decided give it a try. First attempt with the fish didn't work I thought okay one more try with the fish and I finished the last move with my lolipop from another daily spin. I first thought I would only get 1 fish when the game started but I got probable 3 or 4 fish through the course of the game not sure what caused them to keep reappearing just glad they did. I was luck to match one fish to a wrapped candy.
The fish will surley eat the candy
in the bottom rows. Go Fish Yeah!
Hope this helps someone else.

I would rather have done this level without boosters but I beat it with 2 stars so that works for me. Thanks for the great site. Just please the site for the iphone 5 as it keeps freezing and I can't acess the left and right side of the page. It even freezes while trying to type the comment and freezes while trying to prove I am not a robot.

Let the wrapped candy from the top corner drop into the bottom boxes then explode each with a striped candy. Worked for me! No boosters.

Sharon said...

I have tried spotted candy with stripe, when I could get them close together, which in it self was hard, I have tried stripe and wrapped, I have tried stripe by itself , and no way could I clear the candies...ugh so aggravating..

Tuff level. Have only gotten 13 outta 17 at best. Glad to see a few people have passed this one. Ho-hum boring, but will keep at it. Good luck everyone. :)

14 out of 17. Getting better. lol.

Anonymous said...

16 outta 17. lol. maybe soon?

Anonymous said...

16 outta 17 again! Grrr lol

Anonymous said...

Woohoo! Finally got it. Took over 40 attempts though. Ended up with 3 stars also. Good luck everyone.

Was on this level forever and finally decided to try the fish trio. That did it! I had tried all the tips but couldn't get the combos needed. Seemed I always needed three color bomb/stripe combos. Could only manage two so resorted to the fish and wham! On to next level.

Anonymous said...

Wow! After 3 weeks and numerous lives lost, I won with 32 moves left and earned 3 stars. It was a lucky board that allowed me to make a candy bomb that landed next to a stripe, with the first move. A couple of moves later same thing. There was only one jelly left on the main board, and I will shamelessly admit I used the lollipop earned on the wheel. I'm not sure if not playing the game on the PC for several weeks, then going back, as a last resort, had anything to do with it.

Anonymous said...

tried it for awhile and no luck! read the comments and tried one of the free fish, was lucky and combined it with a stripe and voila completed!! had the help of lots of chocolate bombs!

Going to try the strategy suggested, thank you!

The key to this level are the two boxes on the lower right and lower left. They can only be accessed by combos. You get three frozen stripes in the middle lower section, and it is important not to waste them. Once unfrozen, they should be fired off in such a way that they all blast horizontally. Don't mix two together because one will go vertically. Therefore, try to get the middle or lower one first. Each cell in the isolated blocks have to be hit a total of three times, or six in total. The centre stripes if done right will give three of those hits, meaning that the player will have to get vertical stripes above or horizontal stripes in the middle. If you can drop a wrap into the isolated boxes, that would be helpful. Wrapped/striped combos in the lower middle section are helpful, but difficult to set up (I never managed to get one there). Also, since vertical blasters are hard to form in the outside columns, watch for opportunities to move a vertical stripe into the outside columns when setting them off or beforehand. This is one of the levels where it is possible to set up a strategy to win the level, but getting the lucky board and executing the strategy is trickier. It took me twenty tries to get this level (the most of any level in this episode) and I ended up using a hammer won in the daily bonus wheel to get the last jelly (the only booster I used in the entire level), so I never got the fully lucky board.

I'm really enjoying this level but my board keeps freezing ,second day now and it's still the same ..

I FINALLY PASSED THIS LEVER AFTER 2 WEEKS!! I finally got a lucky board with 2 speckled balls with stripped combo's and then I used my free spin fish and they distroyed the last two jellies! So glad this is over!

Michelle dv said...

A very tricky and frustrating level indeed. After numerous tries, this is what worked for me:

1. Used a free daily spin sprinkle and matched it to a stripe at the bottom, making sure that I had lots of the same colour on the board.
2. Focused and making another sprinkle and matched it to a stripe, making sure I had lots of the same colour on the board.

Those two sprinkles wiped out all but two jellies. I had no free lollipops left so I:

3. Focused on making another sprinkle and matched it to a jelly of the same colour.
4. Repeated.

Yay! Moves left over.

I really think sprinkles is what is needed to quickly solve this level. Stripes are easy to make; wraps not. Those three stripes at the bottom have limited use as it depends on if you can match them. So, I suggest focusing on making sprinkles.

Anonymous said...

use FISH!!!!! if you have them--don't know why but it works

Bill. said...

Agree if you have fish from the bonus wheel they are brilliant at clearing the jelly.

Finally! After more than a week, I got off this level. Make as many chocolate balls as possible with stripes. Some you can't get at all, and then the time I finished it, I had three or four choloclate balls. Still a lot of luck!

Anonymous said...

I can't believe this level took me so long - no bombs, no chocolate, no tornadoes and no jellies with a zillion layers to break. Finally got lucky with some good combo moves.

Anonymous said...

Forget bombs and combos. I tried hundreds of times. Use the fish you won on your daily spin. Take out the jellys On the bottom center first. Use the fish for the licorice covered after the others are either eliminated or mostly gone. Try to match a fish with a stripe...viola.

Anonymous said...

This one is awful....

Anonymous said...

Well, i just had 4 sparkle/strip combos and a stripe/wrap combo in the lower middle section and still didn't pass the level. had one jelly left. so i'm saying this level is nigh in impossible to pass. that's insane that 4 sparkle/stripe combos didn't clear that board. BAH! candy crush.

Anonymous said...

After being stuck for a week the first time I used the jelly fish I passed with three stars!

Brian said...

Took a while, but 2 chocolate/stripe combinations left me with two yellow pieces in the lower right. Managed to make another chocolate bomb next to a yellow which completed the level. Patience!
