So there are 4 icing blocks to the left of the fruit on the left, and four icing blocks to the right of the fruit on the right of the screen. if you just hit and can break those bottom two blocks on either side without breaking the top 2, then the fruit will slide out into the third column and you don't have to worry about breaking any of the icing blocks in the middle three rows!

Agree with above. Attack the one side and the cherry/nut from the other side will cascade over. Then play with the bombs to move down the pieces. It helps if you have the bottom somewhat cleared (wrap/striped combo). Dean

As always, I have been playing with strategies of my own before coming here for tips and to watch the video. I love this strategy and it makes a ton of sense. Thanks, Theresa

I'm glad I read the above posts. As soon as I have more lives, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Still having trouble. Either I can't break just those two on each side or the bombs then get stuck and I am out. Great strategy but after about 20 tries still nothing!

I finally passed this after being stuck for a day. I concentrated on one side of the board and worked on the blocks near the ingredient. If you don't clear enough of the top, when focusing on one side, the other fruit stays stuck. Somehow, I had good moves in succession and freed the first ingredient. I used the bombs to make combos. The first ingredient fell through the bottom and the second one came loose. It was just a matter of using stripes and wrapped candies to keep the bombs at bay and clear more blocks. Amazingly, I finished with 13 moves left, 3 stars, and 463,060 points! I think this level was harder than 490!

Had to use hammer for last block.

My first try on this left me with.. "What the ?" Then I read the above comments, and said w
"Whew" instead. Was wondering with so few moves and area how I was supposed to blow those blocks with so few moves. Think it will be a little challenge anyway. This whole meringue section has been fun so far, so not complaining!

I must be doing something horribly wrong as I have been on this level for over a week. Tried all the above tips but no luck at all. Chances of making any combo are almost nil. Losing interest, enjoyment level about nil!!!

After a number of unsuccessful attempt following the suggested strategies a speckled and stripped candy appeared alongside each other and the board cleared and the fruit drop with the single switch. Not sure how many moves I had left but I suspect quite a few.

That first tip works. My problem was I'd get one ingredient down then spend all my time dealing with bombs. If you can switch out the bottom underneath dispenser with a regular candy, it'll block the dispenser and you can get on with business. That's how I finally got them both down. Special candies help a lot, too.

After being stuck a day, I read someone who posted. Did it on my 1st try! Break the lower two blocks on the outsides to force the ingredients out!

Passed it on first try after reading this

my strategy was going for the combo's chocolate bomb with striped and two wrapped candies together and just blowing everything up! i could never just get the two cream candies like the above comments to work! it took about 10 tries on my mac! good luck!

I focused on clearing the bottom. May have gotten lucky with speckled balls, but cleared the board with 3 stars. Thanks for the strategy!!

Didn't manage the targeted approach but smashed as much as possible with combos, which worked for me! AS

Got this level on the fifth try after thinking this might be a hard one and I could be stuck on it for awhile. I did not read the comments here beforehand (was playing on my phone at work), but stumbled on the strategy posted above. I had only one good combo, a wrapped/striped combo that did a lot of damage on the side I was working on. Otherwise, it was ordinary three-candy melds that cleared enough on the right to get the first ingredient to drop. Eroding the middle got the second one to come out on the right side and drop, with the help of simple melds involving bombs. Got two stars, but the level was complete, though the rapid completion of it (something like four moves from freeing the first ingredient to "sugar crush") surprised me.

Stick to breaking down one side. If you go between left and right it will waste moves. Tried about 50 times that way and then went with one side. Beat it with about 15 lives after that coming close many times before beating it. Try to break down low first and that will hopefully help beat up the higher saving moves

Finally finished after may be 50 tries..... but i followed the tricks shown in the video above... which is clearing both sides simultaneously. But it is true you have to wait for the perfect board.

c/candycrush here.
I wasn't getting anywhere, had trouble freeing the ingredients or getting anywhere close.

I used one free coconut wheel. The great thing about using it is the system will send you another coconut wheel as well during the game. I used my first wheel straight away, turned it sideways to blast the ice, did the same when the second wheel came down and it made all the difference. The ingredients came loose, got a couple of combos and ended up with a score of over 700,000.

So if you're still having trouble after trying to blast the ice under the ingredients, it's worth using a coconut wheel.

A BIG thank you 'c/candycrush'. After my first try I thought, 'No way!'So, having plenty of free spin coconut wheels I went for that option and it was bliss! That one wheel generated two more, directly above the fruit and they wiped out the bombs as well as the marshmallow! I had one sprinkle which I was 'saving' but I didn't get to use it. Three stars too! So, if you're stuck, maybe try a coconut wheel.

I am either the unluckiest candy crush player or the worse. I have tried the suggestions above without success for 6 days. I hardly ever get any combos and usually has less than 1 star worth of points. I have tried it on my Mac, iPhone and ipad. has anyone won this lately? Could an upgrade make it not work?

I'm into my second week and lost count how many times I've tried. I've come close once but not since. I too have used the coconut wheel a couple of times and it hasn't even come close. The other problem is when there are no moves to even shift the icing off the candy so you end up matching three candies which wastes about 5 moves say.
I've also tried the strategies as suggested above but nothing. If anything I succeed one side and run out of moves to complete the other side and the fruit doesn't even budge. I think it is a matter of a lucky board or lucky break. I've got some coconuts so I will try a couple of times more using these, but I don't want to waste all of them lol.
As with most difficult levels I just plod of regardless and it will happen. 😃
Good luck

Brilliant tips as ever. Particularly helpful the additional one about blocking the bombs by swapping with a normal candy if you can. Really helps.

Thanks everyone, got it on my 2nd try with 3 stars, had 15 moves left and ended up with 3 stars, and over 491K score. I followed your tip on clearing one side, and worked on the bottom, got a choc ball and stripe.
