Candy Crush Saga Level 505

How to pass level 505 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Break the cakes as quickly as you can to open up the board and give you chance to make specials to clear the jelly.

Try to make moves down the sides of the cakes just AFTER a bomb has fallen so the next one will not fall and get stuck down the side where you can't get at it. The bombs drop every second move so if you plan ahead a little you should be able to prevent the bombs getting stuck down the sides where you can't get to them.
Try to make special candies and combos whenever possible as these will break the cakes a lot faster than just trying to make matches beside them.

If the level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know in the comments and I will try to change it.

This level has a lot of bombs, so beware. Concentrate on breaking the center column of blocks if you can so you will have an easier time clearing the cannons. There are jellies under the cannons and all the licorice at the bottom. Clearing the cannons separately removes more layers of jellies.

why dont you add levels up to 515 - i am on 506 - Begin by breaking the chocolate anywhere you can, but try to clear out a path to get your first ingredient down. the second ingredient falls on the same side as the first, so ignore the chocolate on the other side and let it overgrow the side. Since it grows across the top on that side, all ingredients have to come down on the other side making it much easier to keep clear and get the ingredients out.

506 was easy - cool - done in 1st attempt!
for 507: You need to unlock the bombs to allow more candies to fall, so make striped candies or combos on either side to start that process. Although you might tend to focus your attention solely on the left side, watch the right side for any great opportunities for color bombs or special candies.

507 seemed easy - 1st try almost done but has glitches - it showed 10 moves left and 1 jelly to go but the game force-ended!
will try again... :-)

507 - fun level if you pay attention to the top bomb and get it out early - keeps giving you color bombs so you can hit the color with maximum bombs... after 500, its been a sweet candy so far...!
off to 508!

508: First priority here is to clear out the licorice, or they will deflect all your special candies’ effectiveness. Then work to clear the cannons. There are jellies under all of them and the blocks! Wrapped/wrapped combos work well to clear the side cannons if you can get them low enough.
its just me since the 1st comment so you can see how little time its taking, and how few lives after 504!

509 looks harder than it is. Vertically striped candy matches can propel the ingredients out even if chocolate has closed the bottom row. Color bombs are easy to make here as well and if you don’t have any striped candies to match them with, (and the chocolate isn’t covering the bottom), match them to the color candy that sits in the bottom row beneath the ingredient—if the ingredient is in the bottom row of the top section.

these are really easy ones - or at least i have been very lucky.... after taking forever with pre-500 levels, the 500+ have been a breeze...
in 510, there’s no need to break all the blocks here as the ingredients will skirt around them and all the columns are exits columns. Vertically striped candy matches or striped/wrapped combos (and as usual, color bomb/striped combos) work really well here.

How about some tips for THIS level 505? Been on it for 3 days now.

This level sucks. They must have changed something since that video was made because after the first 3 moves or so, I have a bomb drop almost every time I make a move, whether I leave the existing bombs on the board or not. It's virtually impossible to clear the board with the constant bombs dropping. Out of 50+ games, I have only got rid of one of the pies one time.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above post. With all of the bombs falling it is impossible to even come close to clearing the board. This level is very boring. The last few levels have been fun but not this one.

505- I had all of these bonuses I had accumulated. Using a wrap & stripe bonus made easy work of this difficult level.

Anonymous said...

I am so tired of all of these bombs. I can't even come close to completing it.

Anonymous said...

Finally got a lucky board and completed this level. I had 3 speckled balls which helped.

I feel that all I'm doing is chasing bombs before they go off. Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This level is soooooo boring. All about luck. No strategy, no smart moves, just hoping for a 'good board', the right candies in the right place at the right time and hoping to clear the bombs in the meanwhile.
Starts to almost feel like some kind of stupid therapy in a mental institution, this level.

level 505 - my games are ending saying the bombs are exploding and i see the bombs and there are 2 or more moves left ..this level is ending before the bombs explode...i keep quitting the game because its just so boring to keep playing over and over and over. Also every move seems to bring down a bomb so its like watching the bombs and getting rid of them before any thing else...

Cheating? I just bought extra plays...my game froze!,!! No fair!,

This is crazy. Four days and never came close. These bombs come two at a time sometimes. I used a speckled booster and couldn't make a striped to collide with. What a waste of a booster. I also use the 3 extra moves. UGH I'm so irritated, but will never give up. Too close to the end to stop.

I have read the posts above. I can offer one suggestion, if you are playing on your phone, switch to the PC! I passed this level fairly quickly. I am not able to play past 500 on my Android, although they say mobile devices currently go to level 515. Maybe on the IPhones! As far as I'm concerned, any level is better than 500 was!

Level 505 is just as bad as 500.

I think this was wrong on CC part to have this level 505 so soon after 500. Enough torture CC learn to play fair.

Why cant I any longer access this site on my iphone 5?

Well after spending weeks on 500, these 1rst few in the next episode seem fairly easy. 505 I got on my 3rd try. Just had good moves available I guess. No boosters, and still got it. The bombs are a headache, yes, just keep an eye on them, usually after a couple moves they seem to be easy to explode. Just take your time and plan your moves carefully, as you should already know. Good luck everyone. :)

Directions are to break the cakes ...well, do you know how hard that is??? This is a lot harder than others are commenting. Bombs everywhere and hard to make combos!

Anonymous said...

This is impossible for me. I can't strategize to break the cakes because bombs are everywhere. This is as hard as 500. It's almost time to stop the frustration and delete Candy Crush.

Somebody said they've been playing 505 for three days? I've been playing for three months or more! On my phone. I don't even come close. I give up on candy crush. Just not fun!

Anonymous said...

Yeah bombs fall every 2 moves, there are too many damn colors and not enough space on the board to maneuver. Probably easy if you have the extreme luck to knock out the cakes, but with them blocking the way i've never finished all the moves, a bomb always explodes before that

Anonymous said...

Another pointless, bore you to death level. My advice is, if you don't get a good start dump it. It's just not work struggling through with pointless moves, better to dump the board and start again. Remember to put boring on the fun meter, King might actually get the message and reduce the difficulty algorithm on this level...

Anonymous said...

Completely agree with earlier comments ...
Absolutely rubbish level.

I wonder why King would make a level like this, because a vast majority of the time, the board is so hopeless that only a total fool would spend money on boosters on it. I've gone twenty-two tries already, and just twice managed to break the cakes. Once, I was just one jelly away from winning the level. All the other times, the bombs end a try prematurely. Inevitably, one bomb gets to where it can't be detonated. Try to avoid having a bomb getting into the central column or a side column. It is hard to get rid of there. Concentrate on making wrapped/striped combos, as those are helpful. Striped candies seem easy to make, but sparklies are very difficult. Exploding both cakes clears a lot of jelly, and exploding them should be your priority, though half of your moves involve dealing with the bombs, which come too fast and have short (twelve-move) fuses. Once the cakes are cleared, then it becomes somewhat easier but still tricky to get the corner jellies.

I finally got my lucky board to make this level, on the fourty-fifth try. The "luck" was that I had to only waste a handful of moves, four or five at most, handling bombs. Otherwise, I was able to dispose of them in the process of making useful moves. Naturally, each cake should be broken separately as that clears the most jelly and blocking cream. What helped was getting a wrapped/striped combo in the middle between the cakes, which cleared one and left the other with a single piece. Then, in the end, I had two moves left, and four jellies to go, three in a row and one in a corner. I had a sparkly against a red, and the jelly in the corner had a red on it. I managed to manoeuvre a red stripe into that row of jellies and then with the last move, set off the sparkly against the red, clearing the jellies and getting the level. That is how a lucky board works.

Switch to PC. Played it on my phone (Android) about ten times and didn't even come close. Switched to PC and won in the first go with a few moves to spare.

500 was horrible. I thought impossible and caved and bought extra time when I was one ingredient away. But I was in that level for weeks. 505 seems similar, except no chocolate. Hate the bombs

The game is finishing early before the time bombs are counted down , this has happened a few times , each time loosing a life . I thought I had failed to take out the bomb ,but I hadn't the game finished early ... I don't seem to have luck these last few episodes its one fault after another , this level would be passable if the game didnt finish early due to a candy crush blip

dirty vegas said...

Very few tips or hints for this level , so far my game ends early when the game finishes saying I failed to remove the time bomb , but The time bomb had not expired ,this happened a few times over the last 4 days , this level is all about taking out the bombs ,very few chances to make combos and very rarely will you clear the cakes ... aggggggg candy crush .

dirty vegas said...

My best chance yet , nearly cleared both cakes and had a chocolate bomb and two wraps to use when my game ended AGAIN !!!! yet again saying I did not remove the time bomb ??? I did not have a time bomb to remove , this game is seriously flawed , please can someone report this as it happens in every other board and is so unfair ,level is hard enough without this .

I found this to be hardest Level in a while !! Do-able, Did get take 2 days. Lots of wrapped and striped will help a lot.

Absolutely ridiculous level requiring a very lucky board to clear bombs and two cakes. I finally got that with three stripe wrap combos and a sprinkle stripe combo. Had to buy 2 lollipops though to crush the final two jellies. Glad to move on after giving another King employee half a cup of coffee.

Got it on the first try. You have to clear pizzas one at a time. You can leave the bombs till you have at least 4 moves to go. Got a color bomb; but you have to wait for a striped one to match so you get the max benefit. yeah may be some luck there. Got a striped/wrapped combo almost at the end and finished the level though just 2 stars.

Very difficult played on pc easier but still needed hammers from bonus wheel.

I finally worked out how to pass this one on my iPad. Yes, the bombs come down every second move but they emerge at the top of the column where you made your last move. So by planning ahead you can keep the bombs in the central columns where they're more likely to be combined in combos (whether intentionally or not) and you don't need to use up countless moves chasing down bombs. From there follow the usual strategy of clearing one pizza first and the rest is straightforward. It's almost as if the game is programmed to go your way once you figure out the strategy (is that possible?). I used just one booster (a hammer) on the second last move to remove the final jelly.
